Chapter One:Fade Away

Everyone around tries to make it okay.

Mark was at his computer as he listened to his latest message from Pete in England, who’s face was wearing a look of shock.

“Lady Illusion sacrificed herself to save Ace, Kat knows all and Lord Fear is in hiding.... How do I know this already does not sound good!”

Mark sighed brushing his hand through is hair. It just was not good. Ace was looking day and night for Fear determined to send him into oblivion. It was taking all their efforts to watch the superhero who was starting to look a few fries shot of a happy meal. To make things worse the amulet had scattered again. Mar knew although he had their piece, Lord Fear would have his.

The only constellation for any of them was that they knew Fear would never dare to bring Kilobyte back. It would be too risky, if Kilobyte got on to earth again there may be no stopping him this time and then it really would be ‘Game Over’ for good.

But Kilobyte had the master programmer, the one who even if he never had created the world the sixth dimention he had created that one game, marks game as a portal. Worst of all they had to find Lady Illusion, to stop Kilobyte destroying her.... And Ace from destroying himself.

Mark sighed as he looked at the amulet. The game was certainly not over and too much was at stake if they lost.

The outskirts of Conestoga Hills, at the opposite end to where the thunder tower is bleak. A run down gas station with a half asleep attendant, a few dead trees not very eye appealing at night either.

On the side of a ditch a teenager who looked like she was playing dress ups got up, groaning.

“Oh Zoar, that hurt”.

Allison Lightning, trainee knight and superhuman of fifteen years got up and surveyed herself with her crysteline blue eyes. “So this is the mainframe the creatures of this world are in.

Allison was an empath. This meant whatever world she was in, the young teenager would blend right in.

A glance at her clothes told Allison otherwise, she groaned and with no transport, it meant one thing flying. Allison sighed and flew upwards, never mind she couldn’t land. This was the worst situation she had ever been in. Whatever that shockwave had been it had jarred her into the world her brother protected, Ace Lightning.
