Hiei gets the sobs that had been wracking his body, under control. why Kurama? Why did you have to go like this? Why did you go at all. a single teargem slides down his cheek and lands on what was once the beautiful face of Kurama.

I wish that I could see you once again.

Hiei looks down at the mangled body of what had once been a beautiful creature, wishing it weren’t true. Wishing it was all a dream. No a nightmare. A Terrible nightmare that he wished to wake upfrom anytime now. “Please Kitsune...don’t leave...”

I never Knew the time would come when I’d been losing you.

The onihi chiisai sits back holding Kurama’s body against him and remenbers. That time Kurama nearly killed Yuusuke for teasing him. How he gave Hiei that special smile he gave no one else. The way he made Hiei feel things. Made him feel thing like sadness...compassion...love ”Ai shitteru...Baka Kitsune”

And He knew, now, why Kurama had been the friend and lover to a for bidden child.

He thought of all the times he and Kurama sat alone together, yet in a crowded room How Kurama had made him feel loved, wanted and special. He never thought about when Kurama or he died. He’d just thought they’d go on forever. But he was wrong.

He could feel the last of the Youko’s presence slip away. He wanted to die. To follow his love into oblivion. If only...”Please Kurama...”

Closing his eyes he say Kurama walk away. Slowly he srank into the distance.

I never knew I’d have to say godbye.
