Chemical Reactions

A story about four stupid, or incredibly wacked children from Middle Earth. The Ages are: Boromir-18 yrs. Faramir-15 yrs. Éomer-15 yrs. Éowyn-14 yrs. (A/N I know the ages are way off, but o well. It works for the story.)

Chapter One: Tidings

“You wishes to see us, father?” Boromir asks looking up at Denethor. Faramir stands rather awkwardly beside him. They both wait for their father’s reply.

“Yes, I actually did.” Denethor says after a pause. “The Rohirric prince and princess Éomer & Éowyn are coming here in one week. They shall be staying for a month purely for diplomatic reasons. I trust that you shall behave properly and not give our Rohirric Allies reason to laugh at us behind our backs as I know is their wont.”

“Father,” Faramir interrupts, “You know nothing of Rohan-other than that they are our allies and lie to our north-so you should not speak of them so!”

“Hah, I have no time for this boys. Go out and play with your swords or do some other manly activity,” he pauses, “and that does not include the library, Faramir!”

Boromir and Faramir nod and leave. Denethor sighs and looks at some papers he is holding......

“But why must we go to Gondor?” Éowyn asks for the millionth time that day. “I don’t want to.”

“Must you two always ask that accursed question?” Théodred says angrily, sipping his mug of beer.

“You’re just lucky you’re not the one that’s going,” Éomer interrupts, “After all, you should be. You’re the one who is going to be ruling next, so it only makes sense that you get to know your ally.”

“Yes, it does make sense, that’s why he’s already been to Gondor, Éomer-you halfwit!” Éowyn shrieks at her older brother.

“Sorry, it slipped my memory.” Éomer amends.

“I find amazing how something that occurred just last year slips your memory.” Théodred says dryly.

“Well it did.” Éomer defends himself, “After all, I’m not Gandalf or anything who can remember something that happened in the Second Age of Middle Earth!”

“Really, Lord Théoden, I don’t believe you made the wisest decision sending off Éowyn and Éomer to Minas Tirith.” Wormtongue hisses. Théoden shakes his head.

“No, Grima, I am doing what every other Rohirric King before me has done. (A/N I have no idea whether the Rohirric Kings or Stewards sent their relatives off to visit their respective countries, all I know is that it works for the story) I am sending off Éomer and Éowyn to Minas Tirith because they must have first-hand knowledge of our ally to the South.”

“But why Éowyn, Lord, she isn’t going to be ruling any time soon, now is she?”

“I know that as well as you, but it is my decision, not yours that will decide here. And I have decided.” The King says angrily. “Éowyn shall go to Minas Tirith with her brother.”

“As your Lordship wishes.” Grima slithers off.

“So, Boromir, what do you think Éomer and Éowyn will be like?” Faramir asks his older brother.

“What?” Boromir looks up from his sword practice.

“What will Éomer and Éowyn be like?” Faramir says, getting annoyed.

“I have no idea. I don’t even know who they are. Go ask someone else, I’m busy.”

“How can you not know who they are, Boromir?!”

“Because I don’t and that’s that. How am I supposed to know who Éomer and Éowy......m, no, Éowy.....l?” He pauses and finally shrugs, “Whatever you said. The name aren’t in Andûnaic, that’s all I know.”

“Father just said that they are the prince and princess of Rohan not five minutes ago!!!!!”

“And what is so important about that? It’s not like they’re coming here or anything.”

Faramir sighs and says, “Never mind. I’ll go ask Mithrandir.”

A/N:

I know the story seems stupid, but that’s basically all it is. Pure stupidity. But, the best hasn’t come yet. I’ll give you some spoilers from future chapters:
