Chapter 11 – You And I
Fire flowed like fine liquid from the tips of her fingers. Fingers leading to the graceful sculpt of her arm which burned with the same color as her eyes, a dark fiery blue. Embracing her body as water would encase a body the dark blue aura spread until it reached the tips of her toes. The voices…The voices…THE VOICES... Stop…Please.
Screaming in excruciating pain tears spilt from the two stormy eyes as she slowly knelt to the ground and passed out…Again.
Then…A breeze lifted her hair in front of her gaping face.
“Umm…”
“Surprised Kagome-san?”
Kikyo’s snobbish nose hovered over the still gaping Kagome with narrowed eyes posing her hands on her slender hips. It wasn’t the first time Kagome had seen her in a miko wardrobe or anything…But the holy aura surrounding Kikyo…Did she really have to stand so close? She didn’t like the whole purifying sensation. How ironic for her.
“How…Am…Wasn’t I captured by Mr. Infamous Naraku? I am pretty sure that the throbbing pain in my ass and just about every other body part is not fake…And…Sesshoumaru he-…”
Tilting her head upward as she spoke in an exasperated voice Kagome resisted the urge to hit Kikyo as she spoke.
“YOU were saved by the god that is known as Sesshoumaru. Too bad you don’t even remember the miko state YOU were in. I don’t understand how Lord Sesshoumaru is enraptured with a peasant like you. Nor do I understand how YOU managed to become so powerful in your miko form.”
If she says YOU like that one more time I am going to bitch slap her across the room…Kagome nodded trying not to smile at that thought. Okay so that makes sense…I was almost killed several times by little weird demon things…I am in a never-ending nightmare…Sesshoumaru rescued me again…Kikyo is talking to me the day after while I am wrapped in bandages…Okay PERFECTO all I needed to know there…Wait…I am a what?
“A…Miko?”
“Yes.”
“…Aren’t you a miko?”
“…Yes.”
“…So does that mean…That I can like…purify stuff?”
“…Yes.”
“…Oh…Okay.”
…What…An idiot. I mean really…I know LORD Sesshoumaru is displeased with me…But do I really have to properly train this girl how to hone her miko skills…She saved the day anyways…Unknowingly because she was too ignorant to not hold back her powers more…AND could have killed Lord Sesshoumaru by accident…By really. Kikyo’s face harder at the thought of training the incompetent girl.
“As soon as you are healed Lord Sesshoumaru left it up to me to teach you how to control your miko powers. In since you seem to be even more powerful then EVEN me those powers must be condensed into another form at once or you will destroy yourself and possibly others.”
See? Of course the inu-youkai known as Sesshoumaru was not in love. Just in mere thought. The power of this miko…It draws me in somehow…But it isn’t like Kikyos scent…Not like clay and mud…More like…A rose petal drifted down onto Sesshoumarus petite nose and with a forefinger and a thumb Sesshoumaru lifted it and smirked. …A rose.
“Sesshoumaru! Did you see that? Did you?”
Kagome jabbed Sesshoumaru in the side with her bow staff and smirked lightly. Someone was in a bad mood because he lost a bet…
“Next time you shouldn’t bet on me losing Sesshoumaru…Besides…Aren’t you supposed to be rooting for me not Inuyasha? I thought you didn’t like him anyways…”
“Compared to you anyone is better.”
Gritting her teeth and trying not to hit the still walking Sesshoumaru…Pfft more like gliding…Kagome sniffed and turned her head.
“Well you owe me 1 week of being my maid…So…THERE.”
Sesshoumaru peeked at her from the corner of his eyes, “I never said that.”
“Yes you-…”
“No I stated that I would be in service of your body for one week. That simply means that I am indebted to your BODY for one week.”
Kagome paused momentarily running the comment through her head…But that means…
“WHAT?”
AN- So this is the last chapter. I know it ended kind of abruptly but I had so many ideas for another story so I was unable to finish this as nicely as I intended. I will have another story out on these two soon enough and THIS TIME it will be a hell a lot better. I just think I did this baby as a test run and had no idea what I was really trying to write about. Thank you everyone so much for reading this though! I love you long time.
