Marry Me?

Draco stepped through the door to find that all the lights were off and the house was completely silent.

"Harry?" he called.

There was no answer. Draco went to the bedroom and dropped his briefcase on the floor. It was empty. It was then that he noticed there was a bright yellow sheet of paper stuck to his pillow. He picked it up and scanned it.

Dear Draco,

Meet me for dinner at Zwei Hunde Restaurant, 7:30 sharp.

Love, Harry

Draco began to chuckle at the wording of Harry's note. It was just like him to be so punctual, even when a romantic dinner was involved. Draco looked at his watch. It was only 6:00 pm. He stripped off his everyday robes and went to take turn on the shower.

As the warm watter cascaded over him Draco's thoughts began to drift. He wondered what Harry had planned. He didn't have a romantic bone in his body, something which Draco often teased him about. Draco smiled, thinking about it.

He turned off the shower and stepped out. After drying off he dug through his closet, looking for something to wear. After several minutes of debating Draco chose dark blue silk dress robes. He looked at his watch and discovered that it was almost 7:30. Deciding that being a little early wouldn't do any harm he apparated to the restaurant.

Draco spotted Harry the moment he walked in the door. He was sitting at a table wearing bottle green dress robes. His normally wild hair was tamed and neat. He was sipping from a glass of champagne. His face lit up when he saw Draco. Draco made his way over to Harry and sat down across from him.

"Hello love," Harry said.

A smile graced Draco's features.

"Hello yourself," he said seductively. "You're looking sexy tonight."

Harry blushed.

"Thank-you," he said softly.

Draco picked up a menu.

"Have you ordered yet?" he asked.

"No, I was waiting for you to get here. I was thinking you'd be late though," Harry said with a grin.

Draco grinned.

"I was on time for once," he said with a shrug.

The two of them fell silent as they studied their menus.

"Dray?" Harry asked.

"Hmmm?" Draco asked, raising one blonde eyebrow.

"What if I told you that I had an ulterior motive for taking you to dinner tonight?" Harry asked.

Draco grinned.

"It's to obligate me into giving you sex, isn't it?" he teased.

Harry blushed again and Draco laughed.

"I've already done that, haven't I?" Harry asked.

Draco's laughter increased. Harry stuck out his tounge.

"All right, all right," Draco said, holding up his hands. "You win. Tell me what this great ulterior motive is."

Harry became visibly nervous.

"We've been together for three years now Dray and every day I love you more. You're the perfect person for me. You're my soulmate and I want to spend forever with you," Harry said softly.

He pulled a box from his pocket and stood up from his chair. He knelt at Draco's feet and took his hand.

"Draco Malfoy, will you marry me?" he asked.

He opened the box to reveal an extravagent silver ring with a large square emerald-cut diamond in it. Draco gasped.

"Yes!" he squealed.

Harry took the ring from it's box and placed on the ring finger of Draco's left hand. Draco sprang from his chair and grabbed Harry in his arms, showering him with kisses.

Suddenly loud clapping burst out around them. The two of them turned to see several people who had witnessed the scene applauding. Harry and Draco grinned.

"I'm hungry," Draco said. "Let's order."

THE END
