BSCW’s Note: This is my first poem for this anime, Vampire Princess Miyu. This poem focuses on the feelings of the character, Reiha, who I read about in Absolute Anime ). It says that Reiha’s feelings toward humans are like the blizzards she creates, cold and unfeeling. So I’ve decided to write a poem about her, so I hope you enjoy.

Blizzard Winds

My world is cold and desolate.

Barely any signs of life are around

As I stand here in the snow.

The blizzard winds cut my already red frostbitten face.

They are distrusting and cold as I am.

The blizzard winds are reason

Why life doesn’t seem to exist here.

They push away any unnecessary intruders,

Just like my cold feelings toward humans.

It is hard to trust anyone

Who seem to want to approach me.

To put my guard down

Would be like stopping the blizzard winds

That keeps my world cold.

Letting every creature approach me without

Obstacles.

But I will not let guard down

Not even for Miyu.

So my world remains cold as usual

Just like a second Ice Age.

The blizzard winds keep destroying all life

Except me.

Snow continuously covers the ground

That is never going to see

A single day of warmth.
