THE GUNDAM PILOTS MEET UNICORNS

CHAPTER ONE: THE GATE WAY TO LUSTER

The war was on again. He was sitting on Wing, looking out over the landscape of the town that he was Guarding. An explosion was seen in the distance. He got into Wing and lifted off.

What could have caused the explosion? The boy wondered. He saw a light of light green as he drew nearer.

He felt as if he had been longing to go there. Beyond this world, beyond the light that gave away the entrance. He had the feeling that he and the others were needed there.

He made the decision.

"Quatre, Trowa, Duo, and Wufei, meet me at these coordinates." Was the message he sent out. Within two hours, the other four were there. "We're going though the portal."

"Are you crazy? We have no idea what's on the other side." Duo said.

"I have a fair idea," said the boy. "Just ... Just say the phrase: 'Luster, bring me home.' And throw yourself into the mountain."

The boy repeated the phrase and flew at the mountain. The other four were right behind him.

They fell into green light the color of new growth.

The five boys landed with a soft thud in a clearing that had silver trees with blue leaves. They rose groggily and upon inspection, they found that they were without their gundams!

"What?" Duo said and swung his arms about so that his black cape could spread out. Slung across his back was a scythe. "Heero, you look one hell of an angel!" Duo said to his companion.

Heero was indeed looking like an Angel. He had on a white shirt and matching pants. He also had a white cape and the wings of an angel. They were spread out and he quickly furled them so they hid beneath the cape, with the tinge of a blush at his cheeks.

Quatre's twin sickles were slung over his back. He wore a tan shirt with matching pants.

Trowa had a knife that was strapped to his side and had a tumbler outfit on.

Wufei was the strangest of the crew. He looked like a dragon that hadn't completed the transformation. His skin was covered in molten red scales and had wings and a tail. His double triton was slung over his back.

"This is so cool!" Duo said.

"Maxwell shut your mouth!" Wufei said and turned to survey where they were.

The area that the boys were in was heavily wooded and the trees did not look like the others that they had seen before. The trees had silvery trunks and bluish leaves. When Wufei touched the trunks of the trees, they gave off a cinnamon odor. "Why would their be trees like this on earth?" he wondered out loud.

"I doubt that even on earth any more," Dou said and ran up to the nearest tree and jumped up into the branches.

"Hey there's a stream not far from here due north!" Duo reported back to his friends. "We should head that way and see if there are any signs of habitation.
