Crimson eyes slowly opened as Kai woke up. He gasped for breath and felt someone lifting him as he chocked, coughing up water in the process. Once being able to breath again, he closed his eyes,as he tried to settle down so he could find out what was happening around him. He couldn't remember where he was or who he was with, his mind had gone blanc.
Trying to recall the incident before, and giving up, he reopened his eyes and slowly everything focused in. Sighing, he sat up slowly, his body feeling tired and worn out. Kai looked around. He was in the hotel.
"Wait...hotel...the holiday! ...and...and...Tyson..."
He looked down feeling guilty instantly, regretting his actions. Although he was ashamed, he was also glad, he got a chance to see how the other boy truly felt. It was hard to find out, but better to know.
Kai closed his eyes again as more memories flashed through his mind, making his head throb slightly.
'Tyson...hill...falling...cold...cant breath...water...drowning'
Opening his eyes suddenly he gasped as reality hit him in the face, hard. He really had done what he had. And he nearly...died...but, the question was, who pulled him up? Someone must have, he couldn't have survived that on his own. He didn't remember anyone, but he did remember his hand being tugged on.
Just that second, the door opened and Tyson came in, a worried look on his face, carrying a tray with toast and tea on it. He hadn't notice Kai being awake, and so just walked over to the bed and placed the things no the bedside table. Sighing slightly, he turned so he could see the pillow, and his eyes went wide, he looked up to see Kai.
"Kai! Your alive! Your awake!"
He screamed with excitement as he grabbed the older boy in a big bear hug, to which Kai actually responded slightly.
Confused, Kai pulled back, their faces inches apart.
"But, don't you hate me?"
"Hell no! How could I hate you Kai? I love you!"
Tyson said as he crushed their lips together. The phoenix kissed back with all the passion he could and he slowly let his eyes slide shut.
By the time the boys parted, they were gasping from lack of oxygen and both seemed to be showing off a similar red tint in their cheeks.
"But, Tyson,"
Kai stopped to take a deeper breath, not ever letting go.
"I thought...I though that you.."
He was cut of by the other boy brushing their lips together once more, then smiling.
Shaking head, he replied quietly.
"You ran away before i could finish..I didn't mean what i said, so I followed you, but...you fell..."
He trailed off, he smile fading slightly.
"So...it was you...you pulled me up?"
Tyson nodded.
Kai smiled, something he's never really had the chance to do. He reach a hand up to cup Tyson's cheek and gazed into his eyes lovingly.
"Thank you...Thank you for saving me...and thank you for making me love"
He said as he pressed his lips against the others again, wrapping his arms tightly around Tyson's waist. The boy pulled his arms up to droop over Kai's shoulders as he kissed back, their bodies pressing together.
"Ahem "
They jerked apart and looked toward the door, where they saw Rei, leaning against the door frame, and Max leaning on Rei. Max smiled and turned round to kiss Rei on the lips, then faced the other two, Rei hugging him tightly.
"And they all lived happily ever after.."
And the next day, they boarded the plane, looking out at the place one last time.
'I'm going to miss this place, after all, it holds allot of memories.'
Kai thought as he gazed out of the window. He turned his head slightly to get a glimpse of Rei and Max, who were cuddled up the best they could in the seats next to them, and looking out of the other window. He sighed and lifted his arm to put around the boy who was leaning on him and smirked lightly, averting his gaze to the window once again.
'But then again, who's to say we cant make better memories back home..'
