Summary: Beauty and the Beast retold using characters from GetBackers! Ban plays the Prince who is transformed into a Vampire. Repulsed at becoming so unnatural and demonic, he slips into a depression. Who could ever learn to love a beast? Kazuki makes his appearance as beautiful man that steals Ban's heart. But will he ever feel the same for the cursed Prince and break the spell?

Chapter One: Once upon a time...
Satsuma, a beautiful and young waitress at the Honky Tonk café, sets a cup of hot tea onto the counter. You smile brightly, thanking her. She returns the gesture before turning around and fixing you something to eat. Paul, the owner, puts his paper away and looks at you for a moment.
"So, you too want to know about the story of Ban and Kazuki? Of Beauty and the Beast?" he asks, sighing slightly.
"Yes, please," you reply, taking a sip of your tea.
"Very well then. But we've got to start from the very beginning."
"Alright then."
A smile seems to be tugging on his lips, but you're not sure. He sits himself across from you. His eyes never leave your own until he finally begins to speak.
"Once upon a time in a far away land, a young Prince lived in a shining castle. Although he had everything his heart desired the Prince was spoiled, selfish, and unkind. But then, one winter's night, an old beggar's woman came to the castle and offered him a single rose in return for shelter from the bitter cold. Repulsed by her haggard appearance, the Prince sneered at the gift and turned the old woman away. But she warned him not to be deceived by appearances for beauty is found within. And when he dismissed her again, the old woman's ugliness melted away to reveal a beautiful Enchantress. The Prince tried to apologize, but it was too later for she had seen that there was no love in his heart. And as punishment she transformed him into a hideous beast. And placed a powerful spell on the castle and all who lived there.
"Ashamed of his monstrous form, the Beast concealed himself inside his castle with a magic mirror as his only window to the outside world. The rose she had offered was truly an enchanted rose, which would bloom until his 21st year. IF he could learn to love another and earn their love in return by the time the last petal fell, then the spell would be broken. If not, he would be doomed to remain a beast for all time.
"As the years past he fell into despair and lost all hope. For who could ever learn to love a beast?"

A/N Hey there people! I know this is BEYOND short, but do not fear for it is simply my introduction to the story. Now, credit for all of that (from "Once upon a time" to the very end of that speech) is word for word the intro to Disney's the Beauty and the Beast.
