"Red, Watari-san?"

The man in question twirled in front of the secretary, his recently re-dyed hair floating around him in an auburn cloud. "What do you think, Tatsumi? I thought a change might be nice."

Tatsumi gazed at him for a long moment, and seemed about to say something, but then shook his head in resignation. He was almost at the door of the laboratory when he half-turned and threw a surprisingly casual reply over his shoulder. "Actually, I prefer blonds myself."

Watari's hair was back to its previous hue by the time Tatsumi arrived at work the next morning.
