Radditz's First Crush: A Valentine's Day Special

A late Valentine's fic.

7/6/04 - Since Turles is not really Radditz and Goku's brother as a lot of fans believe, I decided to make Turles and adopted child. I may or may not write a fic based on this in the future.

Japhia is pronounced Jah-fee-uh

"Oh shut up! You wouldn't know until you've seen her!"

An eight-year-old Raditz glared at the six-year old Turles. How would he know that his one and only crush wouldn't like him? Turles has never seen was she looked like. Only he knew who she was by the stories that Raditz told him.

"Maybe you crush is just your imaginary friend Radditzuu."

"What?!" Raditz furiously punched Turles to the ground. "She's not my imaginary friend!"

The punch soon started a squabble between the two, and they were soon interrupted and separated by their father.

"What the hell is going on?" asked Bardock angrily

Raditz was in tears "He's making fun of Japhia father!"

Turles pulled down his eyelid and stuck his tongue out at Raditz.

"See! See!" yelled Raditz

"All right that's enough! Raditz you eight years old and you shouldn't be acing like a whiny little brat!"

"But,"

"No buts, and don't you ever do that again. And I also want you to apologize to your little brother."

"Why? He should apologize to me first! He started it! And he's not really my brother he's adopted!"

Bardock glared. "Adopted or not he's still your brother."

"Pssh…fine" Raditz mutters under his breath "I'm sorry…..prick"

Turles squealed in a little annoying adopted little brother voice "I can't hear you!"

Raditz growled, annoyed "I said I was sorry DAMMIT!"

Bardock was surprised to hear such words out of his eldest son's mouth at such a young age "Eh…better. Well, Turles, you come with me and Raditz, think about what you did."

"WA?!"

Bardock glared at Raditz

"Pssh fine"

Raditz quietly walked down to a small lake, clutching on to the little gift that he made. He sat down on a bench, put his gift down. Despite trying to hide the feeling in, he couldn't help but let out a pool of tears.

"Damn him. He's always sticking up for that baby; never standing up to me"

Devastated, not realizing what he was doing, he threw the gift into the pond.

He curled himself up into a ball, laid down on the bench, and cried himself to sleep.

"…"

"….mmnnnn…."

"mmnnnnn….What?"

Somebody giggles.

It took a while before Raditz, all groggy eyed from the nap, notice who was poking him.

"Ah!" Radditz jumped.

The figure giggled again.

"J…Japhia?"

Japhia laughed "Yes! It's me! Why are you sleeping out here?"

"Um…er….family problems?" Raditz was blushing a beet red.

"Yeah…sure" Japhia rolled her eyes.

Raditz was so embarrassed that he was soon twirling with his tail.

"Radditzu, only girls twirl their tails."

"Huh? What? Oh!" Radditz stopped twirling his tail, embarrassed.

Japhia walked close and closer to Raditz. "Do you remember what day this is?"

Raditz was so distracted by Japhia that he forgot all about throwing the gift into the lake. "No…."

Japhia laughed, then threw her arms up "It Valentine's Day! I can't believe you forgot all about it!"

"Heh, I guess I forgot when I was sleeping."

Then Raditz remember the gift. "Oh crap! Where is it?!"

"What? What is it?" Japhia got all curious.

Raditz looked around frantically, then noticed the gift in the water

"Oh crap!" Raditz dove in after it.

Japhia watched in awe.

Raditz grabbed the gift, and got out off the water, then walked over to Japhia, all soak and wet.

"Um…here you go." He handed the soaked gift to Japhia.

"Wow, for me?"

Raditz nodded.

"Wow! Thanks!"

Japhia looked at the gift, a large, red paper heart, but it was so soak and wet that she could only read a few of the words that weren't washed away. The only words that she could see was "Happy Valentine's Day, From Raditz" Japhia was so happy, that she hugged Raditz tightly.

For Valentine's Day, Raditz got his first kiss ever.
