Beautiful Soul

Well, I'm back again with another fic! I kept seeing the Jesse McCartney CD ad on Nickelodeon, and it had this song, since its a hit. I had to make a fanfic out of it! And I had to get Ashley's permission to write this, since she titled her most recent fic "Beautiful Soul." Thanks Ash! I wanted to dedicate this fic to the Jimmy fans who talk with me the most: Niki V., Ashley N., Brit C., Ashley F., Patrick L., Stacey P., Kitty Q., and Mel! You know who you are.. Love you guys much! Such beautiful souls themselves! ::smile:: Thanks guys, you mean alot to me! And if I didn't mention you, don't think I don't care about you, cause I really do!

Disclaimer: I don't own Nerd-tron, Vortex, the Sheenster, or Your Mighty Fine Royal Fabulousness. Nobody but the wonderful people at DNA Productions do! I also do not rightfully claim "Beautiful Soul," sung by Jesse McCartney.

Summary: One-shot songfic. The gang is going to the beach to stay for a weekend in Sheen's uncle's beach house. Romance brews between our favorite couples! J/C and S/L

I don't wan't another pretty face

I don't wan't just anyone to hold

I don't want my love to go to waste

I wan't you and your beautiful soul

"Come on Cindy, hurry! They're gonna leave without us!" Libby said, while standing in Cindy's bedroom doorway.

"Just a sec, I'm almost done! They wouldn't leave without us anyway, so cool your jets!" she replied, placing last-minute things into her bag. The sixteen-year-old Egyptian girl scoffed, and leaned an arm against the wood paneling in the doorway. "Okay, now I'm done. Let's go!" Cindy grabbed her bag and slung it over her shoulder. She ran towards Libby and grabbed her arm as she nearly dragged her down the stairs.

As they reached the car, Jimmy was placing bags into the back of Sheen's station wagon. Cindy threw her bag at him, smirked, and got into the backseat of the car.

"Well good day to you too sunshine.." the teen genius muttered as he placed her bag in, and closed the back end up. He got into the passenger side of the station wagon, and Sheen started up the car.

"Are we gonna stop at the gas station to get some snacks or something?" Libby questioned while wrapping her arms around Sheen's neck while he drove.

"Sure babe! We can stop at the Texaco up ahead." Libby kissed his cheek, and leaned back into her seat next to Cindy, who was looking out the window, almost looking for something. Libby heard her give a little sigh, and Libby shot her a sympathetic look.

"You okay Cind?" Libby asked. Jimmy looked into the rear-view mirror to see what was going on. He wasn't about to let anything ruin Cindy's time.

"Huh? Oh, I'm fine, don't worry about me." She flashed a halfhearted smile Libby's way, and turned her head back to the window. Libby shrugged, then went back to listening to music on her headphones.

They arrived at the gas station in two minutes, since Sheen was driving at least 70 miles per hour. Jimmy was suprised that they didn't get pulled over with his wreckless driving! They all got some snacks to fill up on during the long car ride, and Libby offered to fill up on gas.

"Hey Jim, did you want to drive for a while? I kinda want to eat in the car, but I think if I drive while I eat, I'll get in a wreck," Sheen said, while stuffing some Torengos into his mouth as they walked out of the convienience store.

"Uh, sure, I guess. It's automatic shift, right? It's hard for me to drive stick.."

"Mm hm.." Sheen tried to say without spitting any crumbs out. Unfortunately, a few crumbs ended up on the Mexican boy's vintage Ultralord tee.

I know that you are something special

To you I'd be always faithful

I want to be what you always needed

Then I hope you'll see the heart in me

The car ride was a long one for the four. Since Carl was on his own family vacation, they had no worries about his lunch being all over the floor.

As he drove, Jimmy would glance back at Cindy once in a while. He would sometimes catch her eye, and she would give him a small smile and turn her head. I hope Cindy's okay, she seems sad.. he thought. He saw a sign that said "Gold Beach Road."

"Hey Sheen, is this the road we turn on?" Sheen nodded while sipping his Purple Flurp. He steered the car toward the road, and pulled up into the driveway of Sheen's uncle's beach house. (It was the only one on the beach.)

The house was tan in color, and blended with the sand perfectly. It was a two story house with two bedrooms, one upstairs, one down, one bathroom that was downstairs, a kitchen and a laundry room.

Cindy grabbed her pink bag out of the back end of the car and slung it over her shoulder as she walked up to the house gracefully. She found the room that she and Libby would be sleeping in, and tossed her bag on the bed which was covered with a blue Mexican blanket. The whole room was Spanish-themed. She figured that since Sheen's family was Spanish, that was how they'd decorate the place. The window outlooked the ocean, and was a beautiful view. She felt the urge to take a relaxing swim in the peaceful sea to wash the day's emotions away, so she went into the bathroom and changed into her pink and white bikini, and grabbed her towel.

The cool water felt good against her delicate skin. As she resurfaced from going under the water, she saw Sheen and Libby sitting on the edge of the dock, their bare feet dangling just above the surface of the water. They were laughing about something, then Sheen gave her a quick kiss before he tossed her into the ocean. Cindy laughed as Libby was yelling at him for doing so.

As the blonde made her way back up onto the beach, she grabbed her towel to dry off, then wrapped it around her waist. She saw her one true love walking towards her.

I don't want another pretty face

I don't want just anyone to hold

I don't want my love to go to waste

I want you and your beautiful soul

"Hey Cind, you alright? You kinda seemed down in the car today." He placed his hands inside his khaki pant pockets.

"Heh, yeah, I'm okay. It's just that seeing Sheen and Libby together like that makes me feel sort of left out. You know?" She looked down at her sand-covered feet.

"Well, you aren't the only one," he said with a wink. She playfully hit him on the arm. She motioned for him to follow her. Cindy led him to a spot on the sand where they could sit and enjoy the oceanic view peacefully. "You know Cindy, I'm suprised."

She raised an eyebrow at him. "Suprised at what?"

"That you are holding my hand," he answered, looking down at their laced fingers.

You're the one I want to chase

You're the one I want to hold

I won't let another minute go to waste

I want you and your beautiful soul

Her cheeks turned a light crimson as she looked up at him innocently. "Um.. well.. I.. uh.." she stammered. He placed a finger to her soft lips to quiet her.

"Shh.. It's okay, I don't mind." He smiled down at her and she smiled back. Cindy layed her head on the teen genius's left shoulder. She closed her eyes and a small smile played upon her lips as she listened to the soothing waves crashing upon the shore.

Some of Cindy's blonde hair fell into her face, so she grabbed her ponytail and started to put up her hair, but Jimmy's hand stopped her before she even reached her head.

"Don't put your hair up. I like it down. You should wear it like that more often."

"But it looks horrible! It's all curly from the water and humidity!" she argued.

"Nonsense, your hair looks beautiful, just like you." He winked at her, and she kissed his cheek.

You might need time to think it over

But I'm just fine moving forward

I'll ease your mind

If you give me the chance

I will never make you cry

C'mon lets try

Meanwhile, Sheen and Libby were having a great time too. After he pushed her in the cool, blue ocean, she swam closer to the dock, and splashed Sheen.

"Ha! I got you back! Now what are you gonna do, sucker?" Libby shouted at Sheen, jokingly, of course.

"You want to know what I'm going to do?" Libby nodded her head as she treaded water. "CANNONBALL!" he shouted as he jumped off the boat dock, holding his legs in an upright fetal position. Libby shrieked as he landed right next to her, making the impact of the jump take her under. As Sheen surfaced, he saw Libby nowhere in sight. His eyes got wide as he frantically searched for any signs of Libby around him.

Unbeknownst to him, Libby was swimming around underwater, ready for payback for Sheen. She could tell he was freaking out about where she was by the way his legs were kicking. She came up above the water, pretending to drown.

"LIBBY! I'll save you!" he said, swimming over to her as quickly as possible. As soon as he reached her, Libby came up and splashed him.

"Sucker! I got ya that time!" she teased. But Sheen didn't laugh.

"I.. I thought you were really drowning, Libby. Don't ever do that to me again! I thought I was going to lose you!" Libby couldn't tell if it was the ocean water, or if Sheen was crying.

"Sheen, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you like that. I won't ever do it again." She swam over to him and pulled him into a hug. But Sheen had other plans. He grabbed Libby and dunked her under for a short second.

"Who's the sucker now, Libby? You actually fell for it! Although, I would have been devastated if you really did drown.."

She stuck out her tongue playfully, then kissed Sheen while going underwater.

I don't want another pretty face

I don't want just anyone to hold

I don't want my love to go to waste

I wan't you and your beautiful soul

They resurfaced, realizing that they oxygen was a vital source of life. They mirrored smiles as they swam back to shore. As they reached the beach, exactly opposite the dock of Jimmy and Cindy, they made footprints in the sand. Then they signed their names underneath, Sheen and Libby, Forever and For Always, and made a heart around it. The waves came up and washed it away, and Sheen's faced showed a sad expression.

"Don't worry Sheen, it says that in my heart, and it won't get washed away." She smiled, and they kissed passionately as the waves crashed upon their feet. "Come on, lets go cook dinner, I'm starving!"

"Right behind you, mi amor!" he answered, then tried to catch up to her as she was running very fast through the soft sand. "What are we going to cook for dinner? Jimmy and Cindy have to eat too you know," Sheen hollered up at her between breaths.

"I know, we'll call them in when its done. How 'bout some of your delicious enchiladas?" Libby answered back as she stopped so Sheen could catch up to her. "They're irresistable!"

"Just like me, right?" He flexed his muscles, and Libby punched him playfully on his shoulder. "Hey, I'm delicate!"

You're the one I wanna chase

You're the one I wanna hold

I won't let another minute go to waste

I want you and your beautiful soul

After they had dinner, Libby had the idea to watch a scary movie since there was nothing else left to do. It was getting dark, so she thought it would be funny to see how scared they'd all get. They had all agreed, but Cindy was hesitant about it at first.

"Fine, just put it in if everyone else wants to watch it. I'll just close my eyes at the scary parts," she said, taking a seat on the couch next to Jimmy.

"You sure you want to watch it Cin? I mean we can play a game of ping-pong or something," Jimmy said, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder. He didn't want Cindy to have a ruined weekend because of a stupid movie.

"No, really, it's fine. What movie is it anyway?" She flashed a forced smile toward Jimmy.

"The Ring. It's kind of old, but it's still pretty scary." Libby walked up to the DVD player and placed the DVD inside. The menu came up, and she selected "play movie" as Sheen turned off the lights.

XoX

Cindy's heart raced as the movie went on. Jimmy could tell she was scared by the way her hands were trembling in her lap. He took one of them in his own, and she smiled. He reached his arm around her shoulders and pulled her closer. She cuddled up to him, feeling much safer in his arms.

As the movie neared the end, the four teens were nearly asleep. Libby quietly got up from Sheen's arms and turned off the DVD. As she walked back to where Sheen was sitting, half-asleep on the floor, she noticed Jimmy and Cindy snuggled up together sleeping peacefully, Jimmy's arm wrapped protectively around her waist as if he was protecting her from a nightmare. Libby smiled and thought "Finally!", then layed next to Sheen who gave her tiny kisses on her neck, and then they dozed off into dream-land.

Am I crazy for wanting you?

Baby do you think you could want me too?

I don't wanna waste your time

Do you see things the way I do?

I just wanna know if you feel it too

There is nothing left to hide

The next morning, the blonde awakened to the smell of maple syrup and orange juice. "Libby's specialty.." she thought. She then noticed the teen genius's arm around her thin waist. She replayed the night back through her head. "Okay, watched 'The Ring', got scared, Jimmy held my hand and wrapped his arm around my shoulders, movie went on, then fell asleep in his arms." She gently rolled over to find Jimmy awake. He smiled down at her and kissed her forehead.

"Good morning Cin," he said sweetly, with a crack in his voice from the early morning wake-up. She looked into his hypnotizing deep blue eyes and fell into them.

"Morning," she said with a yawn. "I think Libby cooked breakfast. Wan't to go get some?" She pointed to the kitchen. He nodded and motioned for her to get off the couch first.

"Something smells good," Jimmy said as they both entered the kitchen where Sheen and Libby were leaning against the refrigerator kissing. "Okay, maybe this is a bad time." He pivoted on his foot to turn, and Sheen and Libby both broke their kiss and their faces flushed with embarassment.

"Uh, no it's fine.. Morning guys, breakfast is on the table," she answered while smoothing out the wrinkles in her purple pajamas. Cindy giggled and took Jimmy's hand and led him to the table next to the sliding glass doors that you could see the whole ocean through.

"So did you guys have a fun weekend?" Sheen said, more toward Jimmy than Cindy while wiggling his eyebrows with a sly smile on his face. He muttered an "mm hm" with a mouthful of food, ignoring Sheen's gesture.

"Good, 'cause we have to be out of here by noon. My uncle is coming to set up for the big party he's throwing for his friend."

I don't want another pretty face

I don't want just anyone to hold

I don't want my love to go to waste

I want you and your beautiful soul

The morning droned on as they started to pack up their stuff to leave. The girls were having a conversation as they placed their stuff into the back of Sheen's old station wagon.

"I always knew you and Neutron would end up together! It was so cute last night when you two were asleep. His arm was around your waste and you both looked so peaceful! And I got a photo of you two this morning while you were both asleep," Libby said, very nonchalantly.

"Well, if it's a good picture, okay. But if my hair looks terrible, you're throwing it away! Anyway, I'm so glad we're together now." Cindy had a look of endearment on her face.

"Well, here come the guys. You got everything?" Cindy nodded, and opened up the back car door and slid inside. Jimmy threw his bag in the back, and slipped inside next to Cindy. Libby and Sheen were in the front two seats. They had certainly had the best weekend of their lives.

You're the one I want to chase

You're the one I want to hold

I won't let another minute go to waste

I wan't you and your beautiful soul!
