Is It A Cruel Joke?

I heard the explosion and all I could think was – that was it. Blair was dead. And I'm too far away to do anything. Oh, God!

I look over at Galileo. And all I want to do is make him pay. Throw him off the building. I advance towards him, pulling him to his feet. It would be so easy. And no one will blame me. But I wouldn't be able to honor Blair in a jail cell. That's where I'd end up if I threw Galileo from the window to the ground below. I turn him over to the officers there.

I walk over and pick up the remote. I close my eyes, seeing Blair, as he was earlier, singing and dancing in the elevator car. I chuckle. Only Blair would sing and dance to cover up the sounds of welding. Only Blair would sing and dance in the face of danger. That's Blair in a nutshell. Creative and innovative. And fearless to a certain extent. Always with an answer. How can I -?

My radio crackles to life. It's Simon.

"Get down here, Jim! Somehow, they survived. Blair survived!"
