Silent sentinel, ever watching,
Scarred by death and killed by time.
I’m afraid that I might break you
If we cross the final line.
Solid as this stone foundation,
Unwavering as your piercing blade.
You scoffed at death and laughed at fate,
Yet in your eye I see you’re afraid.
Afraid of feeling things forgotten,
Afraid of opening half-healed wounds.
How sad to see the warrior stumble.
Who knew I had this effect on you?
Please don’t leave for the other world yet
I know your time is dead and gone
But if you stay until I die…
Together we can both move on.
