Sauron's Ring by Marta Layton Last Edited: 09 September 2004

A song about the Last Alliance. Sung to a doo-wop beat.

Chorus:

And he said,
One Ring to rule them all,
One Ring to find them,
One Ring to bring them all And in the darkness bind them

Ring-a-ling-a-ling-a-ring-a-ling-a-ding-dong, Ring-a-ling-the Ring belonged to Sauron (repeat)

He made it in Eregion so long ago,
Poured in his blood and power - ooh, you know it's so.
Gave seven to the dwarf lords in their halls so deep And nine to mortal men but the One Ring he did keep

Chorus

He came to Middle-earth, to dark Mordor,
Got scared when men sailed in from Numenor.
Challenged the elves and men at Dagorlad;
Isildur took his Ring when Sauron killed his dad

Chorus

It should have been destroyed that very day,
But Isildur kept the Ring, took it far away.
The king was killed; the Ring sunk to the river bed,
Then Deagol found the Ring but Smeagol killed him dead.

Chorus
