To many people I am a symbol of death. They fear me because they fear death. I find this rather amusing. That's why I made scaring people a small pastime of mine. The fear that people emit is more invigorating than any drug could possibly be. Mr. Amano's fear of me particularly amuses me. I love seeing him cower behind the Jagan wielder. Although not as obvious as Ginji's fear, Mr. Midou does fear me to a certain extent as well. He's better at hiding it, but I can still sense his fear.

I don't expect anyone will ever understand how much death stimulates me, but I really don't care. Fear amuses me and people have the greatest fears when they know they're about to die. Fear is the only thing that makes this bland world worth living in. I know people think of me as psychotic or cruel, but I don't care. It's not my fault that nothing else is as fun as fear. Besides, most of the people I kill were better off dead anyway.
