Fry can be seen lying in his bed later that night. He couldn't sleep. All he could do was think about Leela and how he longed to be that man. He realized that he couldn't sleep, so he got up and headed to the fridge. He pulled out a bottle of beer and plopped down on the couch. He sighed as he turned on the t.v. and opened his beer.

"I hear beer," Bender said as he walked into the room and sat next to Fry. He took the beer from his hand and took a couple of swallows, "Thanks for the beer pal, but didn't you want one?" he asked as he looked at Fry. Fry looked at him and slowly shook his head before looking back at the t.v. "Why the long face, meat bag?" Bender asked as he took another swig.

"Nothing, I'm alright," Fry said slowly as he gave a tiny shrug.

"You still thinking about, ole one eye?" Bender asked as he downed the beer and threw the empty bottle behind him, which shattered on impact with the floor.

Fry looked in the direction of the bottle, "You gonna pick that up?" he asked as he looked back at Bender and pointed behind him with his thumb.

"No, I figured I'd wait till you stepped on it," Bender said as he snatched the remote from Fry and changed the channel.

"Again?" Fry asked in disbelief as he crossed his arms.

"Look buddy, you need to get your mind off of Leela," Bender said, changing the subject, "I know, let's take you out to find you a woman," he said as he shut off the t.v. and threw the remote behind him.

Fry looked over his shoulder once more, "Are you gonna pick that up?" he asked as he looked back at Bender.

"Nope," Bender said bluntly as he put his arms behind his head and put his feet on the table in front of him.

Fry rolled his eyes, "Well, aren't we gonna go get some women?" he asked as he put his arms behind his head and his feet on the table.

"Yeah, as soon as you put some pants on," Bender replied as he looked at Fry up and down.

It was then that Fry realized he was still in his underwear, "Ahh!" he screamed as he got to his feet and ran to his room.

"Watch out for the…" Bender began.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!" Fry screamed, followed by a loud thud, which was followed by a loud, "OWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!"

"Broken glass," Bender finished, though it was no use at this point.

"Hahaha, I showed you! I didn't step on the glass. I slid on the remote and landed on the glass," Fry yelled from the other room. There was a moment of silence before yet another, "OWWWWWWWWWWWWW!"

"What happened?" Bender asked as he sat up and turned around.

"I stepped on the glass," Fry whined from the other room

Bender turned around a resumed the position he had before, "Yeah, I thought so," he said as he closed his eyes (or whatever that thing is).

Bender and Fry can be seen walking the crowded streets of New New York. Fry sighed as he placed his hands in his pockets and looked to the ground. Bender looked at him and sighed as well.

"Look, Fry," Bender said as he placed a hand on Fry's shoulder, "You need to forget about Leela. She's getting married to some snuddy, rich, MVP. She's gone man and I think you are all the better for it," he said before removing his hand.

Fry looked at him, "Really, why?" he asked, looking a bit confused.

"Well," Bender shrugged, "You were spending too much time with her anyway. You needed to get away and spend more time with you buddy, Bender," he said as he pointed to himself.

"I don't know," Fry said as he looked down at the ground, "I've been trying to get with her forever, and I finally get her and she just leaves. I thought we were doing great, what made her wanna break up with me, Bender?" he asked as he looked at Bender hopefully.

Bender stood up straight and crossed his arms, "I told you, you don't need her anyway. Get over her and be glad that you're free," he scorned.

Fry shrugged slightly, "I guess you're right. Thanks Bender," he said excitedly, "I think I can hold my head high and find another woman. One that's better than Leela," he said he began to pick up speed.

Bender sighed as he hung his head, "I hope I'm right. I didn't mean to hurt my best friend," he sighed. He looked back up and his eyes widened, "I know you wanna hold you head high Fry, but…"

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Fry screamed, though it began to fade toward the end.

"Maybe you should look out for open manholes," Bender warned as he slapped his forehead.

The next afternoon, everyone was sitting around the table. "Well, I'm not surprised that Fry is late. He's never on time," Leela scorned as she crossed her arms.

"Well, I'm sure that Fry will be here soon," Professor said as he adjusted his glasses, "Uh…er…who is Fry?" he asked as he looked at Leela.

Leela growned with irritation as he smacked her forehead, "Your uncle," she answered simply.

"Oh yes, I remember," Professor said as he rubbed his chin, "Perhaps his best friend would know," he turned and looked at Zoidberg, "Where is this…uh…er…um…"

"FRY!" Leela yelled irritably as she slammed her hands down on the table.

Professor Farnsworth looked at her, "No, I'm the Professor, Fry isn't remember?" he asked as he adjusted his glasses once more, "Now if you will please shut you constantly running mouth, I will find out where he is," he scorned as he looked back at Zoidberg, "Now, where is the professor?" he asked as he placed his hands under his chin.

Zoidberg scratched the top of his head, "I'm honored to be Fry's best friend, but you are the professor," he said as a smile spread across his face.

Professor Farnsworth looked a little confused, "But she just said that I was Fry," he said as he pointed to Leela.

"NO!" Leela yelled with even more irritation, "You are the professor and Fry isn't here yet!" she yelled as she smacked her forehead once again.

"Have no fear, Fry's best friend Bender is here!" Bender yelled as he entered the room.

Professor Farnsworth blushed slightly, "Why thank you, but I don't know how my being her causes everyone to fear nothing," he said as he waved a hand at Bender.

"Not you professor, I'm Bender," Bender said as he sat down at the table and pulled out a cigar.

"Oh, I'm the professor," Professor said as he pointed to himself.

Leela looked at Bender, "I can't believe I'm saying this, but thank you. I've only been trying to tell him that for fifteen minutes."

"You lied to me! You told me that I was Fry!" Professor said as he smacked Leela in the back of the head.

"Ow," she whined as she rubbed her hand.

"Oh, I'm no longer Fry's best friend. At least I got a few moments of being a best friend," Zoidberg said excitedly as he smiled, "Oh, I'm such a loser," he said as he slammed his head on the table.

"What did I miss?" Fry asked as he walked in the room and sat in the chair between Bender and Leela.

"The first half of the meeting," Leela scorned as she crossed her arms, "Where were you, crying in the bathroom like an unwanted infant?" she asked with a small smirk.

"No, that's were we find you," Bender said, humor in his voice, as he took a drag of his cigarette.

Leela's eyes narrowed on him. "Did I miss anything important?" Fry asked as he looked at Professor Farnsworth.

"Yes, as a matter of fact you did!" Leela yelled, turning his attention to her, "You missed the whole first half of the meeting and now you don't even know what our mission is," she scorned as she stood up and crossed the room to the door, "Now you'll be so lost and I don't care," she scorned as she stormed out.

Fry looked a bit confused as everyone else got up to do their business, "What's wrong with her? It's not like I told her I was out on a date last night with a beautiful stripper and I was late because I lost my pants," he said as he looked at Bender.

"That's because it didn't happen. You're alarm didn't go off because I turned it off. This way, I could tell Leela that you were late because you were on a date with a beautiful stripper and you couldn't find you pants," Bender said as he finished his cigar and got up to leave the room.

"What?" Fry asked, stopping Bender in his tracks, "Why did you do that?"

Bender turned his head and looked at him, "I know what's best for you, remember?" he said before leaving.

Fry slammed his head on the table. "Well, aren't you glad that I'm such a good best friend that I will forgive you for trading me in and gladly take you back with open arms?" Zoidberg asked as he pointed to himself. Fry lifted his head and gave him an odd look before slamming it back down on the table.

Well, I hope you enjoyed. Tell me what you think. Sorry so short.
Response to Reviewers:

ecz- You're very welcome and thank you very much.

Officer 1BDI- (Blushes) Thanks for such a high regard. I tried my best to keep them all in character and to not make it so incredibly sappy. I guess it comes naturally, I do tend to put humor in the most inopportune places.

I-LUV-Fry!- Yes, yes it does rhyme. Thanks for the review and I'll try not to make him cry…much.

Here comes the hockey puck- You're very welcome. You've supported me so much, I think you really deserved a dedication.

Signed,
Yes yes, this is good.
