Disclaimer: I don't own any of these characters! They all belong to Tolkien and I am only borrowing them for a short time. Besides, if you did decide to sue me, you wouldn't get much out of it anyways. ;
Legolas' Reflection
Thrandul looked down upon his youngest son as they rode upon horseback into the realm of the Golden Wood. A small smile came over his face as he watched his son's intellegent eyes flow over their surroundings.
"So Legolas, tell me, what do you think of Lothlorien thus far?"
Legolas looked up at his father, brushing a few stray strands of golden blond hair out of his own eyes. Eyes which, as he spoke, again traveled around their surroundings.
"We have barley stepped into it's lands, and already I am noticing many differences from our own Mirkwood. The trees, they seem to sing with a different song than those of home."
The young prince looked about again, taking everything in. Sky blue eyes alight with curiousity.
"Very different.."
The smile stayed upon Thrandul's face as they continued their journey in a peaceful silence. After quite a bit of riding, they finally gave pause when a noise from their right sounded, and Legolas' hands automaticaly reached for his bow and an arrow from his quiver.
A very tall and handsome looking elf came out of the shelter of the shadows of the trees, accompanied by two or three others, built much like him, however none coming into comparison with him at the same time. They were all three clearly Lothlorien warriors, their hair bradied in such a fasion.
The handsome looking elf turned his eyes upon Legolas and Thrandul, and his face broke into a warm smile.
"My apologies, My Lord Thrandul, for I did not know that it was the King of Mirkwood who was venturing into the realm of the Lady of the Wood."
Thrandul shook his head slightly and raised one of his hands lightly, turning his own elven eyes upon the other elf.
"It is allright Haldir my old friend. There was no harm done, therefore all shall be forgiven. Just make note to check who you are prusuing so that it will not happen again!"
Haldir nodded, and his deep indigo eyes travling from Thrandul to Legolas.
Legolas noticed the spark in his eyes and took note of the seductive smirk that now played across his lips, and as he did, he suddenly found himself wondering very much just what those lips would taste of. His cheeks flushed slightly, suprised at himself for thinking such thoughts about a man he had just met. Not even met formally at that.
Thrandul took note of his son and Haldir exhanging looks, however somehow missed the seduction in Haldir's actions, and its affect on Legolas. The King of Mirkwood cleared his throat ever so slightly, just enough to get Haldir's attention before he continued.
"Haldir, I don't believe that you have met my youngest son Legolas? It is his first time travling into Lothlorien. Perhaps after we're settled in, you could show him around?"
Haldir turned his attention back to Thrandul.
"Yes My Lord. Perhaps I could show the Prince around Lothlorien as soon as you have settled down..."
His eyes traveled to Legolas again, moving up and down his body, studing the prince.
Legolas had to turn his own eyes from Haldir's, so as he would not fall captive to them and their electrifying gaze. Haldir turned his attention to Thrandul once again.
"Well My Lord, shall we escort you? Lady Galadriel is most eager to speak with you."
Thrandul nodded and nudged his horse forward and they continued on their way to be greeted by Galadriel.
"Legolas!"
Legolas shook his head slightly, startled by the voice that had broken into his conciousness.
Aragorn came and placed a hand to his shoulder.
"Meleth, what are you doing? I have asked you the same question three times now, and am yet to recieve an answer. What is troubling you?"
Legolas smiled at him, and stood. Taking Aragorn's hands with his own.
"It's nothing meleth, I was only reflecting on something that happened quite a while ago."
"I see.."
Was Aragorn's reply, and Legolas started to pull him from the gardens back into the castle of Minas Tirith.
"Now what was it that you wanted to show me?"
A/N: And that is the end of chapter 1! Please leave feedback as it's very much appreciated. Should I continue this one, or not? Might update soon, lol.
