Marriage had always been an irritating concept for Crowley. He couldn't understand why two perfectly sane, reasonable people suddenly get it into their heads that they had to make out-dated patriarchal promises to each other, knowing they would spend the rest of their lives failing miserably to live up to them.

And of course, there was the dreaded post-ceremony party, where two completely incompatible family groups would make awkward conversation, only just resisting the urge to beat the snot out of one another.
