I looked over this and realized it was horribly written, so I went back and prettied it up!

Disclaimer: I own nothing, no really, this computer even,. Is my mom’s… though I was talking about the anime

I’m terrible at rating things, so if someone thinks I should change it at any point, just tell me…

Yes, I should be working on Forsaken, but I don’t feel like it right now. So, erm, nya!

Parallelism is a collection of one-shots, most (if not all) of which will be AU. Each one shows Uchiha Sasuke in a different environment, so he might not always be spot on in character, but I believe he could have been these people if he somehow grew up that way.

Some of these could easily become their own fics, and plenty could be more than just one-shots, but I don’t have the time or patience to bother. I’m still working on Forsaken.

At the beginning of each chapter, I’ll give you the warnings because each one will have a different pairing, world, existence and so on.

This chapter has yaoi and incest… though not in overly large amounts, and there’s something with a guy 14 years older than Sasuke… and he has silver hair… hmmm… wonder who.

Chapter One: Noble

He stood quietly, relishing the feel of the cool water running over his body, as the other slaves waited nervously. He should have gotten out minutes ago. Only nobles showered that long; they forbade slaves to waste water on themselves. Slaves only showered when a noble wanted them to. He washed more often than others, but they didn’t mind. They felt relieved whenever he left the slave quarters; and he was so pretty they never felt slighted when the nobles chose him over them. He turned off the water and stepped out, snatching a soft blue towel usually reserved for nobles and ignoring the coarse brown slave towel. The other slaves tried not to look.

He came from another ship, only two months before. The other slaves tried to forget its name, but the image of blood red eyes on a sail so dark blue it looked black haunted their dreams. No slave knew how many ships sailed the vast oceans, searching for a land free of the plague. They knew nobles controlled every ship; they knew slaves worked every ship. They knew he couldn’t possibly have been a slave before. No one spoke up though; the nobles thought he was a slave, and questioning the nobles meant death.

Every slave knew any ship not their own was an enemy, even though the nobles crafted lies about diplomacy and alliances. They saw the ship and knew they would battle it. It fell easily, and once the nobles killed those on the other ship, they took their slaves. The nobles killed most of them because the ship lacked the size to hold them, but they still kept a decent number, almost all of whom fit in perfectly. All but him.

He cared for his beautiful, jet black hair more than any slave should have. His smooth, pale skin never seemed to burn in the sun. The nobles accepted his beauty and labeled him a “rare treasure,” but the other slaves saw. They knew his eyes never belonged to a slave. They stared out, cold, hard, and black, and they seemed to look, not through you, but into your deepest thoughts and desires with a single glance. He almost always assigned another slave to do his work, and they suffered twice as much as he for a badly done job. He spoke to the other slaves too much and asked for their real names.

He told them his name was Sasuke.

Any one of his transgressions could kill him, but he hid them from the nobles. He acted perfectly meek, docile, and respectful when they watched. The other slaves wondered how he hid his eyes, but not one dared ask. Not a single slave dared to tell the nobles either. Nobles saw only what they wanted: a pretty little slave named Sa-chan. The other slaves never said a word, but every one of them knew he acted like a noble.

A noble summoned him again tonight. He pulled on the dark brown robes given to the slaves solely to present themselves to nobility in. Three others shared his room, but they avoided him, so he dressed alone. He walked confidently to the noble’s room. The other slaves called him arrogant. He knew the room well; he visited it often. He knocked lightly one the door three times. When the noble called him in, he entered, bowed, and recited a litany every slave knew by heart. “I present myself before you, Great Noble, and humbly thank you for the gift of your presence.”

The noble laughed, and Sasuke noticed that the mask he usually wore lay on his desk. “Okay, then, Sa-chan. You can pick your head up off your knees now and come over.” He nearly closed his dark eyes smiling, and silver hair fell over his face to cover the left one.

Sasuke shrugged and joined the noble on his bed. “If you intend to play me at Go again, Kakashi-sama, we might as well skip it and say I won.”

Kakashi blinked in confusion. “How’d you know?”

“Perhaps I’m secretly a telepath sent from another dimension to further your skill at Go.” He paused for a moment, studying the noble. “I think I’m failing.” Sasuke’s face showed no humor, but it coated his voice.

“You’re no fun, Sa-chan.” Kakashi wrapped his arms around the slave’s shoulders as he spoke. “Why can’t you just be nice to me for once?”

“I showed up clean, didn’t I?”

“You hate being dirty, so that’s more like a favor from me.” Kakashi grinned. “You’re honestly the strangest slave I’ve ever had.”

“I bet I am.”

“I can’t accept such insolence from a slave.” The noble whispered into Sasuke’s ear. “I’ll have to punish you now, won’t I?”

“No, but I know you want to.” Sasuke answered, a smirk decorating his lips.

“You’re doing it again. I can tell.” Kakashi sighed.

“Doing what, Kakashi-sama?” He spoke too innocently not to know.

“Smirking at my door when I can’t see you. Keep this up and you’ll start sleeping with it instead of me.”

“But my lord, I wouldn’t know how.”

“Good.” Kakashi said nothing else for the rest of the night.

The blaring battle alarm woke them the next morning. It vibrated the entire ship, and nearly threw Sasuke out of bed. He and Kakashi scrambled into their clothes and reported to the deck. Technically, the alarm only meant they spotted another ship, but everyone knew another ship meant another battle.

The slaves stood in ranks to greet the coming nobles, and the nobles stood safely behind them. Only the captain waited in front. The two ships grappled each other and set a plank between them to walk across. The other ship’s captain glided across the plank, without stumbling even when the ships lurched in the waves. He tied his long black hair at the base of his neck, and his porcelain skin glowed in the morning sunlight. His deep red eyes pierced through anyone who dared look into them.

The slaves knelt respectfully. Except for Sasuke. He stood with his back straight and stared into the noble’s eyes. A guard immediately whipped his back, but he ignored it.

The noble turned to the slave who dared stand boldly before him. “Sasuke-kun?” His voice flowed over the name like music. “What are you doing?”

Before Sasuke could respond, his captain broke in. “You know this slave, my lord? We recently acquired him from another ship, but we could sell him to you for a reasonable price.” He needed any excuse for armistice; the other ship could easily crush his.

The other captain glared expressionlessly. “Slave? Sasuke is my younger brother.”

The lesser captain’s eyes bulged. “I beg your pardon; We didn’t… My deepest apologies, he… We had no idea. He dressed in the robes of a slave.”

“Morons, the lot of you.” He raised his hand to call his brother over. “Come, Sasuke-kun.”

Sasuke smirked and walked through the kneeling slaves. “Itachi.”

“Will you spare anyone?”

Sasuke pointed to the silver haired noble. “Kakashi.”

Itachi nodded. “Kakashi-san, we would be honored if your joined our crew.”

Kakashi gave a slight bow. “As would I, and thank you.” He passed to Itachi’s ship.

“Now.” Itachi pulled his brother into his lap. “Kill them.” Nobles and slaves swarmed the ship, slaughtering everyone.

“Thank you, Itachi.” Sasuke smiled. “I didn’t like it here.”

“I couldn’t possibly leave you with these animals, Sasuke-kun.” He smirked and firmly kissed his brother’s lips.

END “NOBLE”

I hope you liked it, and PLEASE review! I don’t care if you don’t like reviewing or don’t know what to say. You can just put “::hands Kisei a cookie::” or something. If you didn’t like it though, tell me how to fix it. No flames.

I recommend not reading chapters 2-8 until they have the little comment saying I revised them. 9 is fine though, I write that like last week, instead of two years ago.
