III. Soulless

It has been a long time since he has cared anything for the rest of the world. Scorned, tortured, made a freak by circumstances beyond his control; it is no wonder that he is bitter. Is there any reason anymore for him to be moved to pity?

He has killed before, and he will not hesitate to kill again. He has no faith left in his fellow men; as they considered his life to be of little worth, so does he consider theirs. They shall pay in fear and blood for what they did to him – and he thinks that perhaps he is far too kind in just killing them. What he ought to do for true punishment is disfigure them, so that they may live, but be shunned by the world until they too lose their consciences and sanity. Only then would they understand his torment. For every beating sustained, every jeer from a crowd, and every expression of horror upon seeing his face would steal away a little piece of their humanity, just as it has stolen his.

He is, and shall remain, soulless and alone.

Fin.
