I own nothing but the plot. J.K. Rowling is one hundred times better at writing if not more. Not to mention incredibly rich.
In the Earth there are Ley lines. What are Ley lines you ask? Well, Ley lines are the flows of magic and spirit energy that cover the earth. Compare them to the blood vessels running through your body. Ley lines do the same thing for the Earth. Many are small but some are big. There are places all over the world were Ley lines converge and pool together. One is the Great Pyramids at Giza; another is at the Bermuda Triangle. But the greatest is at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. However, there are times when Ley lines have a swell of power. Times like that sometimes lead to portals being opened to other dimensions for but a moment. Our story leads us to a home built on top of a fairly large pool of Ley lines that was about to have a huge surge of energy. A home in a place called Godric’s Hollow.
James and Lily Potter felt that they were safe for once. They were hiding from Lord Voldemort in a house that James’s parents left for them. They had a secret keeper that would keep them safe from Voldemort. They had chosen Sirius, James’s best friend, but Sirius said that he would be too obvious. So they chose their other friend, Peter Pettigrew. Now they were safe, safe to raise their son Harry. They could tell from the start that he would be a gifted wizard. Just one month after he had been born, he had floated his favorite bear over to him. They had wanted to ask the leader of their order, Albus Dumbledore, but they needed to stay hidden. So they had to be content that they could be together. However, their peace was not to last. They had no idea that their friend, Peter, was a spy for Lord Voldemort. He had waited for a while before contacting him. He told Voldemort of the Potter’s location.
Voldemort smiled evilly under his hooded cloak. The Potters had been a thorn in his side for far too long. There was also this prophesy that a spy of his had told him of. There were two children that fit the description, one a full-blood and the other a half-blood like him. He knew that if he could get this powerful despite being a half-blood, then this Potter child could end up just as powerful if not more so. The Potters had trusted their ‘loyal friend’, Peter, with their lives. How incredibly stupid of them. You couldn’t trust anyone, especially with your life. He was about to show them why.
Lily had just put Harry to bed when James heard a click at the door. He knew that nothing could get by the wards and charms besides Lord Voldemort. This couldn’t be! Voldemort shouldn’t have been able to find them unless… unless he had gotten the information from Wormtail.
“He’s found us, Lily!” he yelled up the stairs. “Voldemort has found us!”
James could hear Lily running down the stairs. Just as she reached him, the door burst open and revealed the mighty Lord Voldemort standing there.
“Death has come for you,” hissed Voldemort.
“Lily, go. Go and take Harry away. I’ll try and buy you so time,” James told her solemnly.
“No!” she told him. “I’ll help you fight him.”
“Lily GO!” he yelled before giving one last kiss. “Go.”
A Lily ran up the stairs James turned a cold eye towards Voldemort.
“How did you find us?” he asked.
“Simple, your little friend Wormtail told me,” he hissed back.
“I should have known. How badly did you torture him for the information?” he asked remarkable calm.
“I didn’t have to do anything to your precious little friend. He came to me with the information. He’s been my spy for years,” Voldemort gloated.
James gasped in shock. He had limited legilimens abilities, but even he could see that Voldemort was telling the truth.
“It’s… It’s not possible. Wormtail would never…” James managed to get out before he was cut off.
“The Wormtail you knew at school died long ago. He is now my loyal servant,” Voldemort hissed out. “Now, hand over your son and you shall live.”
“I shall never abandon my family or my friends, Voldemort,” James spat out.
“So be it,” Voldemort hissed as he sent a curse at James. “Crucio!”
James barely managed to get out of the way of the spell before sending a stunner at Voldemort. Voldemort conjured a shield with a snake imprinted on it, blocking the stunner. He then sent another curse, “Avada Kedavra!”
James summoned a chair to block the green beam of light. The Killing Curse shattered the chair but went no further. James used this slight distraction to send a curse of his own at Voldemort.
“Maximus Reducto!” he cried.
The curse managed to nick Voldemort on the arm, causing severe damage. Voldemort was slightly shocked. This man dared strike the great Lord Voldemort.
“Not so cocky now, eh Voldie?” James mocked.
“You shall die for that, scum,” he hissed at him.
With that the fight was on.
During their fight, Lily had managed to get to Harry and was in the process of trying to leave the house when she realized that the only ways out were down stairs. Sure she could have climbed out a window, but she had Harry to look after. While she was debating what to do, she heard James scream in pain and a loud thud. Suddenly there was no noise at all coming from downstairs. She cautiously looked down stairs and saw James slumped against the wall… dead. She then saw Voldemort come over and look up. He smiled viciously when he saw her carrying Harry.
“Come down here woman and bring the boy,” he commanded.
“NEVER!” she screamed as she rushed into Harry’s nursery.
Lily was panicking. She had just lost her husband and was about to lose her son. Then she started thinking. She had heard of a possible counter to the Killing Curse. The cost would be her life, but the possible reward was worth it. So she started the ritual. It was quick and would add the most powerful protection that magic could give. It was a ritual that bound her love for her son into a shield that would rebound the Killing Curse back at its caster. Just as she finished, Voldemort came into the room.
“Step aside woman and you shall live,” he told her.
“No, not Harry. Take me instead,” she pleaded.
“Foolish woman, now I shall kill you as well as the boy,” he hissed as he raised his wand. “Avada Kedavra!” he hissed out.
Lily didn’t stand a chance. She died though, with a smile on her face. This worried Voldemort a little bit. But he shrugged it off. There were far more important matters to attend to. He turned to the little boy who looked up at him so innocently. He narrowed his eyes as he said the incantation, “Avada Kedavra.”
Now two different things were happening at the same time. One was the Killing Curse heading towards Harry. The other thing was a sudden fluctuation of the Ley lines pooling underneath the house. This surge of magic caused three things to happen. One was that the shield that Lily put on Harry was boosted. The second thing was that the surge lowered Voldemort’s protections against this very thing happening. And the third was a portal started to open under Harry. Those three things happened in an instant. The curse rebounded and hit Voldemort causing him to die. Then his back up spells and rituals came into play and instead of him dieing, his soul was merely removed and his body vaporized. Then the house caught flames from the residuals of the spell that didn’t hit Voldemort. Then finally, a portal opened up under Harry and he fell through. When Hagrid and Sirius arrived looking for survivors, all they found was Lily and James’s bodies, a pile of ash, and a burning house. They both went to confront Wormtail who managed to escape by turning into a rat and fleeing into the sewers. Sirius was never arrested and continued to annoy Professor Snape as a teacher at Hogwarts. Everyone looked everywhere for Harry but they would never find him. For he was far beyond their reach.
In the Forests of Silverlake, a beautiful Elf was walking along a worn path. This was no ordinary Elf. She was Queen Queltha. She always took walks alone to think. Currently she was thinking about her healer’s latest news. She would never be able to have children. It seems that her warrior days were catching up to her. She had once been struck by a dragon’s tail in the stomach. It seems though the wounds had healed, they had left too many scars. She was very down because she had always wanted children. She constantly prayed to Corellon and to Ehlonna to grant her a child, but today she was more fervent than usual.
“Oh great and mighty gods, grant me one request. Give me a child, I beg of you. A child worthy of one day becoming ruler of our lands. I humbly ask that you help me. If anyone can help me it is you.”
Just as she ended, a portal opened up a young child dropped out. She quickly rushed over and caught him before he got hurt. Looking down, she could see the most beautiful emerald green eyes. They were the same color as her eyes. She then saw a mark on his forehead, a mark in the shape of a lightning bolt. Looking at this child, she couldn’t help but think that her prayers had been answered. But then she saw his ears. They were the ears of a human. This complicated things a bit. The High Council would never allow her to adopt a human. They aged too quickly. They also tended to be destructive and greedy. Then she started to remember a ritual that she had heard of. It would allow a human to become an elf, if needed. It could only be performed by an Elvish High Priest and needed the blood of a male and female Elf. This would allow the human to become the child of those two elves. The only problem was that could she get her husband to cooperate. He’d better or he’ll be sleeping with the dogs. As she took Harry back, she started to scan his thoughts. You see, she was telepathic. She could see that he had been raised by loving parents. She then saw his mother’s death through his eyes. She then learned that his name was Harry Potter. She soon realized that she was back at the palace when some guards bowed to her. She nodded to them and then proceeded to her chambers where she was certain her husband would be.
King Agonith was not having a very good day. Mainly because his wife was unhappy. They had just found out that she could never have children and she had been crushed. One of the other reasons he wasn’t having a good day was because the Council had been pressuring him to have an heir to train in case the war they were expecting with the Orcs came to be. He was brooding when he saw his wife come into the room carrying something.
“Dear, what are you carrying?” he asked.
“Our future, love. The gods have answered my prayers,” she told him happily. “There is one little problem though.”
“And what would that be?” he asked.
“This child that the gods sent, is human,” she told him.
She waited for the expected outburst but it never came. Instead she felt her husband come up and give her a hug. She was shocked but relieved.
“I know of a way that we can rectify that,” he told her.
“So you know of the ritual too?” she asked, surprised yet pleased.
“I do. So do you want to get the High Priest or should I?” he asked softly.
“How about I go get him and you stay here and take a good look at our new son,” she told him as she put Harry into his arms. As she left she took a look back at Agonith. He was staring at Harry, like he had never seen a baby before. She sighed happily and left to find Foranth the High Priest.
Agonith was surprised by the power slumbering within the child. He had the potential to become extremely powerful. Even more powerful than even Agonith’s father, who was the most powerful Elf since Corellon Larethion. He was still admiring Harry when Queltha came back with Foranth. The ritual was performed and Harry was officially an elf and the son of King Agonith and Queen Queltha.
