Monochrome World
Darkness forever,
Day fades to night—
Swimming vision,
Ear-splitting ringing,
Strange markings upon the walls,
The doors, the floors.
Shifting, shuffling shapes
Whispering sounds
Utterly impossible,
Gurgling cries of anguish,
Moans of hunger, bloodlust,
Coming from shadows.
Splatters and smears of red everywhere,
Crimson life;
Monochrome world
Where the dead dwell.
Fear grips the heart,
Icy cold—
Atone the sins
Or life is spent.
