Shounen-ai: Touya x Yuki
Created Feb. 12th, 2005
Touya looked out the window at the pouring rain outside.
And blinked.
Then looked again.
Okay, so that was a little... strange. What was Yuki doing out there?
Watching for a few moments longer, Touya deduced that Yuki was doing some kind of... of... well, dance, he supposed. Yuki jumped about, sometimes on one foot, sometimes on both, and his hands were moving gracefully in the air above him.
And then there was also the fact, Touya reminded himself, that Yuki was half naked.
His pants were sodden, and above his waist the rain glistened on pale bare skin. (Very enticingly, Touya mused).
Well, much as he enjoyed viewing the scene...
"Oi! Yuki! What are you doing? You'll catch cold..."
Yuki looked up to where Touya's head stuck out the window, and he grinned impishly.
"Rain Dancing, To-ya."
"Rain...?"
"Dancing, yeah. You should try it – c'mon, it's really fun."
His smile could have charmed the birds from the tress and set Sakura into permanent 'hanyan mode', but Touya, being Touya, raised an eyebrow somewhat skeptically.
"Don't you get... cold like that?"
"Nope. The dancing keeps you warm."
Touya stared, but then smiled and allowed himself to be coaxed into joining Yuki outside.
"Its pouring down, Yuki! We really shouldn't..."
His half-amused, half-concerned voice trailed off as Yuki began to dance again; his lithe body moving in time with his hands left him speechless for a long moment. It was really quite alarmingly alluring when Yuki moved like that...
Yuki held out one slim hand.
"Come on, To-ya. Its easy – I'll teach you how."
Touya moved back a little, still unsure.
"But Yuki... what's the point?"
Yuki grinned again, his eyes lighting up and making him appear almost fey-like.
"That is the point, To-ya – there is none."
Sensing his confusion, Yuki continued on.
"Every day people do things because they have to, or because they feel they need to in order to achieve or gain something... right?"
Touya nodded his understanding. But did that really explain...?
"So", continued Yuki, "the point of Rain Dancing is that there is no actual logical point – for once, it is just because you want to. You won't get anything out of it... except for happiness."
Touya was momentarily stunned. Once it was put like that...
Yuki put his head to one side, studying Touya's reaction.
"So?" he prodded. "Rain Dance with me?"
Touya looked at Yuki, his Yuki, with the rain shimmering on his body and the ever-present smile lighting his features, and couldn't help his repsonse.
"Okay", he said, deciding to be spontaneous. "Teach me."
Yuki cheered, and then smiled again a little mischievously as he looked over Touya. The taller male wondered just what he had gotten himself into... after all, when it came to teasing, Yuki was the master...
"Alright", Yuki said, and his voice, thought Touya suspiciously, certainly held cheeky laughter in it. "The first thing you need to do... is to take off your top."
Touya gaped, and Yuki did his best (and failed miserably) to hide a smirk.
