Rachel and Declán had their plans for the evening outlined weeks ago. Spike, on the other hand, had been teasing Dawn for days.

His mention that certain demons present their loved ones with a necklace of their enemies entrails, was currently under consideration after the nightmarish morning she'd spent dealing with a particularly clueless client.

Buffy's recent visit and the toll it had taken on her wardrobe hadn't helped her mood. Especially when she'd discovered the alterations to her favourite skirt this morning. Britney Spears had nothing on slutty when it came to her sister and a pair of scissors.

Still up to her ears in paperwork, Dawn didn't realise Spike had arrived until she felt his lips on her neck. "You have a choice, love; Locanda Locatelli, champagne and takeout on the roof or a tattoo."

Locanda Locatelli was Dawn's favourite Italian restaurant, but after the past week she'd had enough of dealing with people. It was always enjoyable eating takeout on the roof and watching the city drape itself in neon lights.

"Can I pick a tattoo and champagne supper?"

"For you, anything."

Dawn wrapped her arms around Spike. "I may yet hold you to the entrail necklace."
