Two men in military uniforms approach him. Reluctantly, he enters the car. The old woman tries to entice him with plane tickets, money, a job translating heiroglyphs.

But it's the military.

He refuses.

Another brilliant mind opens the Stargate. Sees the connection between constelations and the cartouche. Puzzles out the seventh symbol.

Colonel O'Neill goes through the Stargate, the only one who knows the true mission objective.

He meets Skaara.

He meets Ra.

He sees danger, realizes that he has to blow up the Stargate.

Another man finds the coordinates home. Another mind figures out the point of origin for Abydos.

He sends the rest of the team home, and sets the timer.

It doesn't matter that he's not going home this time.
