I need serious help with the title people!

Disclaimer: I don’t own anything.…

This fan fiction is a cross between InuYasha and Yu Yu Hakusho. Two of my most favorite animies of all time. The parings are as followed…

Kagome/Kurama

Sango/Hiei

Yusuke/Keiko

Kuwabara/none

Boton/still thinking of someone

Information:

Inuyasha and Miroku are dead. Sango, Shippo, and Kirara all go to the future with Kagome. Inuyasha died in battle rescuing and protecting Kagome from Naraku. Miroku is sadly sucked in by his wind tunnel while Kagome and Sango look on some time after Inuyasha’s death. Kagome and Sango both go into a depressed state. They just can’t get over Inuyasha’s and Miroku’s death. Sango surprisingly is from the future as well. She seemed to have fallen down the well when she was little and grew up in the feudal era. Now she is in the future, and in hopes to Cheer Kagome up, and herself, she invites her to visit her cousin that she hasn’t seen since she was three years old.

Chapter one… Meet my cousin and the gang…

It has been a year since Inuyasha’s and Miroku’s tragic deaths, and the two girls are still feeling the heavy loss of love they once held for them. Kagome had nearly starved herself to death and didn’t come out from her room, that was until Souta begged her to come out. Yes he too felt the loss. Inuyasha had been like a brother to him and he felt sad for Miroku. He never knew him but he still liked him all the same.

Sango case was different very different. Sango had such a case of depression, she slit her wrists, but her mother called the Ambulance just in time. Kagome would have killed Sango herself if she had not been in the critical care unit. But Sango had gotten over that hurtle with the help of serious counseling. Now Sango’s mother practically begged them to see her nephew.

Kagome’s POV

So here they were, standing outside on the porch of Sango’s cousins house. I was wearing black and hot pink high-top converse with pink flames on the black shoe laces. To cover my legs I wore a hip hugging pair of black jeans, and hand painted light pink designs on them. On my chest I had a black tub-top. Over it was a fishnet, cotton, off the shoulder shirt that started at a blood red on one shoulder and slowly spread and faded into a light pink. I had placed my hair into a clip since I was to lazy to actually style it. Not that it looked bad. I left a few tendrils of hair surround my face.

Oh. And Sango. She wore a nice pair of blue jeans and a tight pink shirt saying ‘I don’t need to hear any bitching, I have enough to deal with, with my mother.’ Sango love’s this shirt. It describes her mother-daughter relationship perfectly. On her feet she wore low-top classic black and white converse. Sango left her hair up in its normal high pony-tail.

Sango took a deep breathe and let it out slowly. She raised her hand and rapped on the door three times. Now we waited. I had gotten bored after a while of waiting for Sango to just knock so I now had my back to the door and was facing the wonderful view of the park. I crossed my arms gently around my stomach. A slight shiver came over me. I had not felt this way in along time. I just had the feeling like something wasn’t right.

After a while Sango and I headed into the unlocked house. Who would ever not lock up their house?

“Sango are you sure it is alright to do this?” I questioned, in fear of getting caught.

“Don’t worry we are perfectly fine.” she replied. Suddenly my head snapped to the patio door that I believe would lead outside to the backyard. It was a power surge and the aura of two demons came through. I knew Sango could feel it too. I watched as Sango reached for her back pocket where she carried a miniature boomerang that would expand once she called for it. A little invention of mine and Keade’s.

I too reached for my back pocket were I kept my miniature bow and arrows, staff and sword. Yes I had learned to use a sword over the year. I saw Sango pull out her sword instead of her boomerang. Something’s not right. She would never resort to that unless it was a close battle and right now I think that is what she wants. Me being the nonviolence person, resorted to my staff. Sango and I held our weapons in our hand untransformed, ready to fight.

Normal POV

Yusuke and the gang had been called off to Koenma’s office for another mission. They were still tired from their last mission. Well okay only him and Kuwabara. Koenma told them that this new mission was to find the girl that carried the Shikon Jewel then protect it. Kurama and Hiei were indeed very surprised at the request. The Shikon jewel is a very powerful artifact that has been sought by demons of all stature. It was also to have known to have been gone from the world for over five hundred years. So why would it be in the mortal world now. Whoever this girl was, he hoped that she could fend for herself, because if a demon in the b class or higher got to the jewel then you could say goodbye to all three realms.

Not much details were given, only find the girl that has the jewel and keep her safe.

“Why not just take it from her? I mean that would save us all the trouble of having to protect her.” said Yusuke

“You idiot. You can’t take the jewel from the holder, that is if she is the priestess that is suppose to be guarding it. You can’t access the true power of the jewel without her. That is why I want you four to protect her. She will be in a lot of trouble if she and the jewel fell into the wrong hands.” yelled Koenma

“Do you know anything else other than, the girl and the jewel? Like where she lives, her name, how she looks like?” asked Kurama

“Sorry but that is all I know. The only other piece of information that I have to give you is that she lives here in Tokyo, Japan.”

“Much help you are!” mutter Yusuke as Boton ushered them into the portal that would take them to Yusuke’s new home.

Kurama’s POV

Once we all got out of the portal, something caught my senses. At first it was the power I felt, but that disappeared and a wonderful sent took it’s place. The smell of Jasmine tickled my senses. I could tell Hiei smelled it as well. The wonderful odor was coming from inside the house. I watched as Hiei took a fighting stance. I followed his gaze to the patio doors. They immediately burst open to reveal a woman. Quite beautiful actually, but once the second one came out I new I was staring at a goddess of some sort. She was just to beautiful. Finally my mind came to senses to see that they were ready for a fight.

Hiei immediately lunged for the girl with the sword, but the girl didn’t notice.

“Look out!” cried the raven haired beauty as she blocked Hiei’s attack with her staff.

“Damn, I picked the wrong weapon.” she cried with a small pout set upon her lips.

“And when do you not pick the right weapon. I told you to go with the sword.”

“No you didn’t!” she defended

“Well I was thinking it…”

“Does it look like I could read your mind?”

“Knowing you, you could be capable of anything.” she said while blocking another one of Hiei’s attacks with now a giant boomerang.

“And I really think we should have waited outside! And get out of my head!” the girl cried as she struck Hiei with her staff.

“Damn Demons… no respect!” she mutter.

My gaze was still on the girl, beautiful as she was, she was also very powerful to have known Hiei to be a demon at only a glance. I watched as Yusuke jumped into the fight and tried to hit the girl with the staff down. But she proved to be a worthy opponent. Yusuke couldn’t even get a strike onto her, and yet he was getting bruised up by the hits he was receiving.

“Damn it! Get out of my house!” Yusuke roared as he fruitlessly tried to strike the girl, all the while Kuwabara was yelling at Yusuke and Hiei that fighting a girl was wrong. And I agree. To some extent. The girl both stopped and looked at Yusuke, shocked. Yusuke took this as a chance to hit the girl, and yet again he was struck down.

“Yusuke I told you not to fight with girls!”

“Your Yusuke?” cried the girl with the boomerang that she just put away. The girls weapons both disappeared.

“What he fuck do you care who I am! You come here to my home and attack me!”

“You ignorant Bastard! I’m Sango!” the girl cried out.

“SANGO! BITCH WHAT DID YOU DO THIS FOR!”

“IS THAT ANY WAY TO SPEAK TO YOUR COUSIN!”

Now I was lost. This girl is his cousin. Then who is the other girl.

“Yeah… and who is this bitch!”

“The name is not bitch.. It is KAGOME! Say it with me… KA-GO-ME!”

“She gets a little touchy if you call her bitch, wench, whore, slut… and so on. So if you like your head I suggest you call her by her name.” said Sango just as a word of advice.

Hey that is a beautiful name for a beautiful woman.

‘Quite Youko.’

Huh… you have to admit she is very sexy. Her curves and…

What are you up to now fox?

Nothing just….

‘Gathering all of my thoughts. So that way I could think without anyone yelling in my head.’

Hn

Good he is gone… now back to Kagome…..

I sighed. Will Youko ever give up his perverted ways? Or his ways of stealing?

“Alright. Now that I know that you are my cousin, who are your friends?” asked Sango.

“Wait how do I know that you are my cousin and not just some girl here to stalk Kurama?” Yusuke asked suspiciously.

“You don’t believe that she is telling the truth? She is your god damn cousin and you don’t believe her!” Kagome cried out. “Man! I am always stuck with idiots. Men. Always doubtful. Can’t believe anything unless it is a proven fact in a book. And even then they doubt you.” Kagome turned to face Sango. “Why do you even bother?”

Sango just shrugged. She didn’t even know for sure this was her cousin. But his name was Yusuke so he had to be.

“Well since you aren’t family to Yusuke, will you be my girlfriend?” Kuwabara asked Kagome. Immediately I saw Kagome stiffen and then sighed.

“You will remove your hands and step away from me.” she spoke, so stricken that Kuwabara blinked dumbly, like he hadn’t taken in a word she said.

“HENTIA!” She screamed out and backhanded him in the face, making him fly across the yard and into the fence. All Kagome did was watch the man fly into the fence with amusement and astonishment written all over her beautiful face.

I am going to kill him. He is trying to take my woman!

‘Since when did she become your woman?’

OH… I mean our woman

‘She is not our woman ether. She is her own person.’

And with that I blocked out the conversation Youko was having with himself to hear what Sango was saying.

“Kagome, you didn’t have to hit the guy that hard! I mean, he wasn’t asking you to bear his child.”

“Oh that brings up memories. And I didn’t hit him that hard. But I guess your right.”

“Then how hard did you hit him?”

“Just as hard as I normally hit Miroku.”

Once the word Miroku passed Kagome’s lips, Sango broke down. She began to cry, sinking to her knees and covering her eyes with her hands. Kagome’s eyes immediately widened. She understood what she had done, even if nobody else knew.

“Sango I am so very sorry.” she whispered as she rushed over to the woman and gave her a hug. The girl just continued to cry into Kagome’s chest.

“Sango I am so sorry. I didn’t mean it. I didn’t mean to say his name. Just thinking of him reminds me of….” she trailed off. Her blue/gray eyes became distant, shinning with tears waiting to be shed. Sango looked up as she heard these words and tried to calm Kagome down.

“Kagome, don’t worry I’m okay now. Think of happy thoughts. Thoughts of Shippo, Kirara, your mother, your brother, me…. Think of happy thoughts just don’t think about that night.” she pleaded, but the girl wasn’t listening.

I could hear her heart racing and her breathing pick up. I watched helplessly as her cheeks were moistened by salty tears.

“How could I not think about it. Even with you naming all of those people. He saved all of them. Shippo from the thunder brothers, Kirara from the demons. My brother from the Noh Mask. You from Naraku. And he even saved my mother from losing me every single day. I was nothing but a burden to him. I was the one who killed him. Me not Naraku. If I wasn’t captured he would still be alive. With me….” she yelled out, shaking her head left to right, tears flying to the ground. She whispered the last part, but I heard it, along with Sango and Hiei.

“Kagome. Listen to yourself. Get over it. There was nothing anyone could do. Just breath. Relax. Its okay.”

I listened to this. Saddened by the words Kagome spoke. Had she really gone through so much pain? And who was the guy she was talking about? He sounds like a great guy to have saved so many people. But the one question that was nagging me was, Who is Naraku? I have never heard of anyone with that name before. Only in scrolls have I read that name. But that hanyou was killed five hundred years ago. The scroll didn’t say how, but it just did. So who or what was this Naraku person?

“Sango. Who is Naraku? And what is going on?” asked Yusuke.

Kagome dried her tears and turned to face us. Her eyes were red and slightly puffy from crying and her cheeks gleamed with the tears that were still rolling down from her eyes.

“Naraku is a bastard. And he is my problem.” she said. All the cheer that she once held in her voice was gone. We all watched as she got up and walked into the house. I heard the front door shut, and quickly came to a conclusion. I wasn’t the only one. Sango had already streaked off into the house and out the front door, following Kagome was only my guess.

Authors POV

The gang followed Kagome out of the yard and into the streets. They found her and Sango standing before a black truck with purple Japanese letters stretching along the side. It read ‘Miroku’ on it.

Kagome was staring at the truck in wonder. It was a beautiful black two door pick-up truck. She read the name in purple letters on the side and smiled. It was a great idea.

“Sango was this your idea or your mom’s.”

“Sad to say it was my moms. But I liked it so I took the idea. I fixed up the car and named it after him. The least I could do for the pervert.”

“So your on better terms I see.”

“You should too. Why hold onto the past and live a life of nothing. That would be dishonoring him, right.”

Kagome just smiled. “Right.” she muttered under her breath, looking down at her feet when she caught the glint of an object shinning in the light. She looked around to see where it was coming from to find the source on Sango’s stomach.

“Sango when did you get a belly button pierce?”

Sango stepped back from Kagome, a little taken back by the random question. She looked down at her own belly button, taking in the sight of the staff shaped object hanging there on a small thin chain. She looked back up to meet Kagome’s face.

“Oh this, I’ve had it for a while now. Almost three weeks.”

“And why didn’t you tell me! I would have loved to get one!”

“You would!” Sango cried in astonishment.

“Well since we are out here, why don’t we introduce ourselves and figure out what to do today, since we are together after all?” Came Kurama’s smooth voice.

Kagome looked up to face him. She had never seen a pair of more beautiful eyes in the entire world. They were so piercing and demanding, yet kind and warm. Just lovely. His red locks so silky looking it made her want to just run her fingers through it to see if it was as soft as it looks. She snapped out of her stupor to answer him.

“Great idea….um….”

“Oh, excuse me my name is Suichii Minnimo (sp), but you may call me Kurama.”

“Name’s Kagome, if you didn’t hear me yelling it to Yusuke.”

“I heard you quite perfectly.”

“Okay, Sango any suggestions on where to go?”

“Hell… there’s a carnival going on not to far from here. About an hours drive.”

“OH HELL! That sounds awesome… definitely going….! Don’t care if you are coming or not! I’m going!” Yelled out Kagome as she opened the passenger door to Sango’s car.

“I guess we are going then.” stated Kurama

“Okay, then hop on in.” called Sango as she opened the drivers door, moving the seat down to allow them to get in the back of her car.

Kagome was already sitting in the front passenger seat, bouncing in the chair like a little child that ate too much sugar. ‘We should have taken Shippo along, he would love the Carnival.’ She thought as she settled down, turning on the radio to 94.9 zeta. (sorry don‘t know how to spell the stations name. I love that station it is awesome!) The Music of Papa Roach’s song Getting Away With Murder blasted from the cars speakers and into every ones ears.

“Kagome, I love that song!”

“Yup me too” Sango and Kagome both yelled at each other over the blaring music. (Got to love that song, if you haven’t heard it. Go listen to it!)

Any good ideas on the title, because I think it sorta needs work. I have a few to choose on.. Vote please…

1. Breaking free from the past.

2. Kagome and Kurama’s romance

3. Finding love through adventures and hardships.

4. The hardships of loving again, and the wonders of love.

Please vote for one of them…. I have no clue what to put. You could also submit your own…

God I have no idea if this fic is going to last the few chapters. Well I hope you like it…

And if you have any ideas on the plot, just let me know… so that way I don’t get writers block….

Please review and tell me what you think…
