A/n: New idea. It struck me around midnight when I was working on a chapter for a different fic. I thought about it, and I don’t think that I have read any fics like this for poor Taichi. Then I decided that I would write it. I started writing it, and knew that I had to post it on here to get your guys’ feedback. I hope you enjoy.

Warnings: Not going to warn you much, cause it might give away the plot, but there will most defiantly be yaoi. And there will be stalker tendencies too, although I’m not sure if that needed a warning…. And there will be some swearing in this, even though I don’t like putting much foul language in my stories, sometimes there are just no other words to use.

Coercion

Chapter one

The day had started out to be any other normal day. Taichi had grudgingly gone to school, complained throughout all of his classes, and had hung out with his always growing group of friends. After school consisted of wonderful soccer practice, where the coach had been unsatisfied with his fooling around, so he had to run a couple of extra laps. That resulted in Taichi being late for his job at Double Massacre, a cool and hip place where teenagers hung out with friends, while being able to enjoy varied foods and non-alcoholic drinks and listen to newly formed bands perform for the first time.

All in all, it had been a good day. Nothing out of the ordinary had happened, so Taichi wasn’t expecting anything to change his normal day.

“Remember, Taichi, be here an hour early tomorrow so we can set up for that new band.” His boss called out, while the teen brunette was walking out the exit of the Double Massacre. Despite its name, the DM was a cool place for teenagers to hang out, and it was still a respectable place so that parents didn’t mind letting their adolescents go there. Plus, Taichi reminded himself with a grin, it paid good money.

He waved in acknowledgement to his boss, before firmly closing the door of the DM behind him. Taichi drew in a deep breath, relishing in the fresh air that met his lungs in a wave of rejuvenation.

He walked over to his car, while pulling out his keys. He was struggling with unlocking the door when something caught his eye. It was a vanilla colored envelope. Simple, with no decorations or writing on it. It was just lying underneath one of the windshield wipers, like how a police ticket would be.

Eyes narrowing in confusion, Taichi stepped closer to the front of his car, and grabbed the envelope. He wasn’t sure what to expect, probably just some fundraiser or something, but he really wasn’t expecting to see a perfectly developed picture of himself.

“What the hell?” Taichi muttered as he pulled the picture fully out of the envelope. Another vanilla colored piece of paper fell out and landed softly onto the pavement. Grumbling to himself, Taichi bent down to retrieve it.

As he stood back up, he looked at the picture first. There was no mistaking it. That was defiantly a picture of him. He was smiling happily as he kicked a soccer ball around the field. No one else was in the picture, so it must have been taken when he practiced by himself. But no one ever came to his individual practices.

Hikari sure was getting creative with her camera these days. Smiling slightly, Taichi opened the vanilla piece of paper that had fallen out of the envelope. The handwriting was completely unrecognizable to him, as he read the letter:

Taichi,

Has anyone ever told you how truly wonderful you are? About how your eyes can light up a darkened room in a way that a bright light never could? Or how your smile can bring so many others happiness?

Have you ever felt that maybe someone was watching you? That someone loves to watch your every move? That someone cherishes every time your eye lit up, or relishes in every wonderful smile?

Hm, I bet you haven’t thought about it, have you Taichi? Well, you should think about it now, because now I’m telling you that I do. I love watching you. I don’t think I could stop even if I tried. Everything you do is just so perfect.

I have one more question for you, Taichi. Have you ever felt as though there are eyes roaming all over your perfect body?

…You should, because I can’t seem to keep my eyes off you.

Taichi reread the letter over and over again. What the hell was this? Some kind of joke? Yeah, that had to be it. He was just missing the funny part about it.

There was no name on the letter. He quickly grabbed the picture and turned it over, but to no avail. There was no signature on that either.

He turned around quickly to gaze around him to see if anyone was around. But the street was full of crowds of people, the street full of cars and other means of transportation. Who had put this on his car? Probably some wise guy from soccer. They were always playing pranks on each other. Although this would be the first time that the guys from his soccer team would have pulled a prank on him. Who would pull a prank on the captain of the team?

Taichi quickly glanced around him again, but saw no familiar face of a fellow soccer player. He couldn’t help but to feel uneasy and jumpy.

Taichi opened his car door and tossed the letter, picture and envelope onto the passenger side seat. His hand gripped the still opened car door in a frustrated grip, taking one last look around him. He got into the driver’s seat and started up the car.

Yeah, he reassured himself, some kind of joke.

After driving around town for a little bit, and grabbing a bite to eat, Taichi was feeling much more calm and a whole lot better. He wasn’t sure why he had gotten so worked up about it. It was obviously someone pulling a prank on him. Probably Hikari, since she was the only person he could think of that was interested in photography.

He easily unlocked his apartment door, welcoming the homey glow that his abode gave off. What he needed was a nice hot shower.

Taichi closed his door and locked it back up after it was firmly shut. As he turned around, he had to stop.

All over his table were pictures, covered with artistically scattered red rose petals. Pictures of him playing soccer, of him running laps, of him laughing, of him smiling, of him with his back turned, of him in a thoughtful daze. There were pictures of him swimming, and pictures of him sleeping, and pictures of him at work and at school.

Taichi’s eyes widened in shock and momentary fear, before that fear was replaced with outrage and anger.

How in the world could have someone gotten into his apartment? No one had the key except for himself. How did this person get all of these pictures of him? Had this stalker actually taken all of these? The thought made Taichi shiver.

…You should, because I can’t seem to keep my eyes off you.

The frightening words from the letter rang through his mind in a painful reminder. Taichi slumped down into a chair, as he leafed through some of the pictures.

There were so many….

Taichi brought a hand to his forehead in frustration, but stopped midway as his dark eyes saw something else that wasn’t supposed to be in his apartment.

Attached to his fridge by his soccer ball magnets, were two other pictures, a rose, and another vanilla envelope.

Almost timidly, Taichi stood up, and yanked the items off the refrigerator. The magnets fell onto the floor with a small clattering noise, but Taichi paid them no mind.

He placed the single red rose on the table, and looked at the pictures. One was of him approaching the front of his car, a furrowed and confused look on his tan features. The next photo made Taichi almost growl in anger. This picture had been taken from behind; while he had bent down to pick up that letter that had fallen.

“What kind of sick pervert…” Taichi demanded darkly, letting his question trail off, not knowing what to say. Almost fearing what he would find, Taichi opened up the vanilla envelope, to find that same unrecognizable handwriting.

Did I make you mad, Taichi? Or perhaps I’ve scared you? I am sorry. I did not mean to. I just wanted you to know of me, and of my feelings for you.

Perhaps you do not get it yet. It doesn’t matter, you will in time. Maybe one day I will be able to actually talk with you in person. But maybe I am not as courageous as you.

Are you wondering who I am? Well, my Taichi, I will give you a hint:

I am no female.

Does that frighten you even more? To know that I am a male? A male that has feelings like this for you? I hope that it does not frighten you even more. Or maybe it sickens you? I hope not. We could have a lot of fun together…

Taichi blinked and reread the paper again. What in the world was going on? Was this really just a joke? Some how, he didn’t think that a joke would go this far. This was just way to creepy. Someone was stalking him. Was it someone he knew? Was it one of his really close friends? Could it be some stranger on the street?

Taichi shivered. This was just too creepy. Why in the world would he have a stalker? It wasn’t like he was some rock star like his best friend. He was just some normal, average guy. Nothing special. How could he attract such attention from one person?

But maybe it was just a joke, and he was just getting himself worked up over nothing. He couldn’t imagine his friends doing anything this extreme though. Breaking into his house, and leaving disturbing letters in places he was sure to find. And those pictures...

Taichi shivered again. There were pictures of him sleeping. Sleeping! That meant that someone had been in his room at night. If who ever this was could get into his house, and leave things like this, what else could this stalker do?

I can’t believe this…this can’t be real, any time now someone is going to wake me from my horrible nightmare. Or, someone is going to jump from outside my door and tell me that it was all just a joke. And then who ever it was will laugh at me for taking it seriously, and then it will all be over with.

No one came, and Taichi didn’t wake up.

“So you decided to actually do it? You actually told him?” The male asked the other interestedly. The other male sighed.

“I guess you could say that.”

“What do you mean, you guess?”

“Well I didn’t exactly tell him.”

“What? Why not?”

“Well, it’s harder than it looks.” The man explained forlornly.

“Don’t you think that it’s just going to get harder and harder as the days go by?”

“Yeah, but that’s why I have you, my partner in crime.”

“Ha, you got that right. Partner in crime. You do know that you could get in to serious trouble for this, right?”

“Yeah, but it doesn’t matter, as long as he knows.”

“But you haven’t told him. You left him letters. That’s different.”

“…I guess…”

“This is crazy, I can’t believe you actually went through with it.”

“Actually, it was kind of fun.”

“Fun?”

“Yeah.”

“And everyone says I’m the insane one.”

“I cant help it. I love him.”

“Do you?”

“Of course I do, why would you even question it?” The man demanded. His friend sighed heavily but made no comment. The first man glared at his friend.

“Whatever, I don’t need you anyways.” And with that, he left. The remaining male sighed once again.

“Is it truly love?” He questioned softly. “Or just lust?”

a/n: feedback is always welcome, along with your thoughts or comments. Like I said, I have never read a fic like this for Taichi, so I wanted to get it on here because the idea just wouldn't leave me alone.
