PROLOUGE
Sometimes it's extremely hard to go through life being noticed. A person can be neglected and abused again and again until they become invisible to the naked eye. They could sit next to you in at least one of your classes for years, and you'd never notice them. Not until they kill themselves, then you'd say "what a pity, I've known them since…like ninth, and even though we never said much to each other, they were a nice person and I considered them my friend. I don't understand why they killed themselves." Even though the day before you were just talking down to them and badly about them while they sat right there, next to you.
Of course, I don't mean you the reader, I mean others. Shallow people that believe that society is always right. Then again, you may be shallow yourself, I wouldn't know since we're not on personal terms. Who knows, you may be the type of "invisible" person that I'm describing.
Some people tend to pity those that are "invisible" and pretend to be their friend, they give them attention. Being nothing but liars themselves since they never wanted to know the person to begin with. Only wanting to "make them feel better". Which is sad in retrospect. A person does not need pity, especially that type, what they need is understanding. Though that rarely ever happens, especially not in high school. Perhaps in college or when they have a career down.
Most of the time they live their invisible lives throughout what people call the "four golden years" without a friend in the world. Save a few cyber-buds, however, that isn't really close. The reason why is because those "cyber-buds" can be pedophiles or eighty-year-olds whom get off from writing to kids. There really is no way to trust them because even though everything online may seem informal, most people lie about themselves, hell, I lie about my name and other personal information when I go online. And why not? It usually keeps a person safer that way.
Though this type of person knows this, they sometimes refuse to believe it. Sometimes they go and meet their cyber-bud or other such things. Desperate to get attention and love and devotion, they do something completely irrational and end up in some sort of danger because of it.
This is about such a person. A teenager by the name of Sora Skye. Or Sky Squared as he was once known and forever will be known as. A sixteen-year-old who has been neglected and abused since the age of eight once his mother had gotten custody of him. A young man who trusts too easily and eagerly wants to please. And that will most likely be his downfall.
