Title: Butterflies

Rating: G

Summary: Vash gives his thoughts on humans. 150 words.

They’re so colorful.

I’ve lived for more than a century, and I’ve seen them grow, build and change. I’ve seen children grow into adults and die, and more children coming to take their place. I love children more than the adults, in some ways. They’re so alive, so playful.

I’ve seen humans make miracles both quiet and glorious, and seen them sin a thousand times in the worst ways. I’ve seen them love and hate and kill and give birth, but most of all, I’ve seen them live.

And how amazing, after a century, how none of them, no two of them have ever looked alike. There are hundreds of them, of different colors and different eyes and hair and mouths and bodies. None of them have ever looked the same. They’re all so unique…

Knives, you call them spiders, but you’re wrong.

They’re butterflies. Hundreds and hundreds of butterflies.
