And so, they got married.
It wasn't a very elegant wedding and barely anybody was at the ceremony, seeing as most of Sakura and Naruto's family members were either dead or missing from the face of the earth.
Sakura and Naruto had decided that their wedding should be in the outdoors, so they thought it should be in the very park that they had given each other the best news they could've ever hoped for. It was a beautiful afternoon, much like the one they had experience in mid July under the old oak tree.
Rikka was Sakura's only bride's maid and Naruto got the drummer from his band, Three Days Grace, to be his best man. The audience consisted of Rikka's parents, whom had traveled from Canada to see Sakura's special day, being like a second family to Sakura, especially now that her mom was gone. The other members of Naruto's band were there as well, and they had brought a few of their family members who knew Naruto through the band rehearsals that had been held in their basements.
Sakura was wearing a strapless white wedding dress that went all the way to the ground and continued in length until it was laid out some distance behind her, ending with a small pattern of pink sakura flowers along the end of the dress. It was extremely important to her because it was the dress her mother had worn at her wedding with Sakura's father, and her mother had passed it down to her in her will. Sakura's hair was up in a messy bun with two strands of hair that hung down on either side of her face. She also had a elegant hair clip with two tiny glass sakura flowers on it, which matched her dress, resting just over her right ear, sparkling in the sun. This too, had been passed down in her mother's will.
After much persuasion from his band, they had managed to get Naruto in a very dashing black tux, with the exception of his black and red skater shoes...luckily, Sakura didn't get too upset, saying that they 'gave him character'. And yes, they had tried almost everything to tame the wild and crazy 'Naruto hair', but even the most intense gels couldn't take down that doo, if anything, they made his hair even spikier! (A/N: Is that even possible?)
All and all, they couldn't of been happier. Sitting in the back seat of Sakura's Punchbuggy as it pulled out of the parking lot beside the park, Sakura resting against her husband's chest, listening to his heart beat, they knew that things could only get better from here on in. (They had rented a professional driver to drive Sakura's car, seeing as they couldn't afford to rent a limousine on top of the expense of the whole wedding.)
They had both been through their share of crap and unbearable changes, but knowing now that they had each other, and a child on the way, made them both feel like as if nothing could bring them down.
Naruto wrapped his arms around Sakura and gently kissed the top of her head, earning a giggle.
-"Sakura."
-"Yeah?"
-"I love you."
Sakura sighed, hoping to hear those words as often as possible for the rest of her life.
-"I love you too, Naruto."
Oh my gosh! That was a long story! But now it's over...I don't know wether I should be happy or sad...oh well, I'm neutral. :)
I would like to thank my reviewers! You guys kept me going all the way through this story, and I really appreciate it. I didn't think anyone would like this story as much as you guys seemed to...not that I'm complaining or anything, the appreciation was awesome!
I'll be finishing my other story, Valentine's Day :A Naruto Sakura addition, very soon. I'm going to be going on a Cruise to Alaska in the next few days and things are getting pretty hectic around here (you know, packing, money, passports, yada yada yada...) so I might not get to it until after I get back (a week from now).
So once again, I thank you all with hugs and cookies and I look froward to read the last reviews for this story! Love you guys:)
Peace out,
