A/N: Bear with me, this is my first X-Files fic.And it is part of a series. It is sent in the sixth season. Oh and It's told from Scully's point of view.
It was late and all I wanted to do was go home and sleep before visiting my mom for a few days, but Mulder had other plans. "Hey Scully, do you trust me?"
I looked up at him from my paperwork and stared at him. Was he serious? Of course I trusted him. I trusted him with my life. "Of course I trust you."
"Good. That's good. Let's go Scully." He said and grabbed our coats.
I looked at him like he was nuts. Where the hell was he going? Why did he want me to come with when we had all this paperwork to finish. "Mulder where are you going?"
"I'm not going anywhere, we are going on a little trip."
He grabbed my hand and before I knew it we were at his car. "Mulder where are we going?"
"Just trust me Scully."
I sighed and got into the car. Mulder put his hand over mine and smiled. I smiled back and fell asleep.
"Scully wake up." I felt Mulder nudge me awake.
"Where are we?" I asked sleepily.
"The beach," he said with a smile.
"Why did you bring me here?" my voice mixed in with the waves.
"I wanted you to see how beautiful it looked with the moon out." Mulder got out of the car and walked to the water's edge.
I followed him and sat on the sand as he started talking again. "There's also another reason I brought you out here." He took out a long velvet box and handed it to me. I opened it slowly and saw inside was a gold necklace with a heart on it. On half the heart there were six diamonds. "Happy six year anniversary Scully." Mulder leaned over and kissed me softly on the lips.
When he pulled away I smiled and wrapped my arms around his neck and said, "Thank you, Mulder." I felt him hug me back and I thought to myself, 'I love this man.'
The next day Mulder walked into the basement office and noticed Scully wasn't there. On his desk was a piece of paper with two words on it. 'Thank you.'
(There will be a sequel. I'm working on it!)
