Harper's Destiny- Chapter 3 continued

Cassandra looked in his past, and saw what had happened. It was the worse she had seen. She took a ragged breath and began.

"Shay, do you know what a Chosen One is, or what a Watcher is?" He nodded his head slowly. "I think... But remind me again." He said icily.

Her heart broke. That love was still in his eyes, though, which is why she kept her courage to continue.

" The Chosen Ones are... special beings. They have been chosen to... save others. If they go back in time, with the help of their Watchers, and kill their younger selves. By doing so, the Chosen One has saved millions of lives... In your case, the Commonwealth would have never fallen, millions of Nietchians and Humans would not die, etc.

There are 2 types of Watchers... who find the Chosen, take them back in time so they can... do what they have to do. The 1st Watcher is a person who wanders, finding different Chosen Ones. They keep doing this...until they fall in love. Then they do what type 2 does.

Type 2 Watchers are 'made' just for one Chosen one. Strictly for that purpose. Both fall instantly in love. After persuading him to... they have the power to take both souls, and be together forever. Eternity.

My dear, I love you! I'm Type 1. I'm still as innocent as Type 2. I have had many Chosen Ones, but YOU! If you go through with this, many people, slaves, your friends, will survive. We can be together forever without hunger, disease."

She broke down crying in his arms. "Type 1 has to make the Chosen 1 think no one cares, and that they are soul mates. My friends may still care, and you aren't really in love with me."

She looked up, hurt on her face. "NEVER! I LOVE you! I promise, swear! And before I even came along, you have thought of suicide. You have felt that your friends don't care anymore!"
