Hey everybody it’s me Akina Mikazuko bringing a new story! It took me a while to think about everything, but I think I got it. I am hooked on my other stories “Black Moon” and “The Cat and the Onigiri Story” but I figured that I just needed one more story to make me happy. I hope all of you will enjoy it…and don’t get mad if you don’t like it ha ha ha.

Chapter 1 “Black Feather”

It was a stormy night near the forest. The wind howled as the leaves spun around the air, dancing and twirling wherever it pleases. Rain poured everywhere; the grounds are damped, the trees are soaked. The night sky was completely black with gray clouds everywhere you look. Another rainy day like always; April always has to bring showers before May could bring flowers.

A figure suddenly dashed through the forest at high speed. What was that figure? Another figure unexpectedly came from behind it as well, going as fast as the speed of light. Were they people or were they just an imagination.

The two figures suddenly dashed towards the smoky clouds going at a full rage of speed. They continued flying straight up into the sky, waiting for one of them to change the direction.

The strange part was…they weren’t birds…or anything with wings…well…they were things with wings…but not birds. If you look at them, you would see a regular human being, only instead they head seven feet wings if you call that normal.

The figure with black wings suddenly flew towards the other victim, ready to give him a simple yet powerful punch. As he tried to aim for his head, the figure that had white wings dodged his attack and kicked the black wings in the stomach. It seemed as though they were in some kind of matrix fighting in the stormy rain in midair…only if you would have a camera this would be stunning to view!

The man with white wings created a huge blue aura and released it at the black winged man. He created a black barrier around itself as the blue power blast flew over the barrier, disappearing into thing air.

But as what the black wing thought was a simple and weak attack, he saw the white wing heading straight towards him, flying as fast as possible. The white wing and the black wing brought out their claws, ready to strike each other. The black wing made the first attack, but he only caught the edge of his hair.

Lucky for the white wing, he scratched one of the black wing’s wings, causing him to bleed a little. Suddenly a black feather fell from his wing, but since it was so windy and dark he didn’t even catch the slightest glimpse of it. He started cursing at himself, but soon the two of them were at it again.

The black feather danced with the leaves in the wind, following the beat of the howling wind. The feather bumped into some of the tree branches, but it still remained pondering in the air.

A blue beam suddenly came out of no where and it pushed the feather straight down in the middle of the forest. As the blue beam dissolved into thin air, the black feather laid helplessly on the ground, rain continuously pouring on top of it.

It was just one feather, who cared about it. Just like other feathers that fell off birds; a piece of garbage or crap I suppose. But…who could say this feather was one of those two choices? Maybe someone who didn’t have an imagination I suppose…this feather could be important…maybe valuable…but only a feather could be special…IF…

It came from an angel…

Kyo was lying on top of the roof, watching the sunset like he normally would on a weekend. He yawned loudly; knowing no one would be awake. He rolled to his side and looked at the forest. Kyo was thinking about…nothing really. He was just waiting for everyone to wake up since he was bored to death, especially for Tohru; damn he was starving.

He suddenly rolled to the other side and spotted Yuki sitting next to him. His appearance gave Kyo quite the surprised as he fell back, freaked out by him.

“WHA-WHAT THE HELL?” shouted Kyo as he sat back up. “YOU SCARED THE CRAP OUT OF ME!”

“Have you ever thought of shutting up,” spoke Yuki coolly. “It’s still early in the morning and everyone is sleeping if you haven’t noticed.”

Kyo was about to give Yuki another assault, but instead he kept calm and looked away not wanting to make eye contact with the rat.

“It’s a waste talking to you,” muttered Kyo rudely.

“Then why don’t you shush that loud mouth of yours?” questioned Yuki as he made a quiet sigh.

“DO YOU WANT TO SAY THAT TO MY FACE?” shouted Kyo as he stood up.

“Hey I only came up here because I have something important to talk about,” mummered Yuki as though it was important.

“What could be so important that I should know?” questioned Kyo stupidly as he looked down at him. “Wait a second…why is he up so early in the morning? Isn’t he like, suppose to sleep in like he normally does?”

Kyo watched him standing up gracefully and for some reason something really caught his attention. It seemed that Yuki would fit perfectly being the cat since he was so graceful and skillful. Hell Kyo would have the time of his life if Yuki were the cat. Then he could see how life would really be.

Kyo waited for Yuki to say something, but instead he noticed him looking down, as if he couldn’t get it out of his mouth. Was Yuki just joking around with Kyo to get him pissed or something? Whatever, if he doesn’t answer then he might as well start yelling at him again.

“Hey if you wanted to say something then spit it out!” shouted Kyo becoming quite annoyed.

“Didn’t I already tell you not to yell?” spat Yuki stupidly.

“OKAY THAT’S IT!” shouted Kyo as he stood in his fighting stance. “I GAVE YOU ENOUGH TIME TO SAY WHAT YOU WANT! SO STAND UP AND FIGHT!”

“I am standing up you stupid cat,” muttered Yuki as he gave Kyo an idiotic expression.

“WHY YOU DAMN RAT!” shouted Kyo as he suddenly charged after Yuki. He was about to punch him straight at the face, and even though he knew it wouldn’t work, he just couldn’t control his actions. He was prepared to receive a punch or a kick from Yuki, but instead Yuki dodged to the side and stuck his foot out, causing Kyo to trip over it.

“YOU DAMN RA-!” shouted Kyo until Yuki jumped on top of him. He pinned Kyo’s back against the roof and looked at him with serious eyes. Kyo tried to break free, cursing at Yuki as he simply sighed, wanting him to just shut up for at least a minute.

“WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?” shouted Kyo trying to break himself free. “YOU BETTER LET GO OF ME YOU DAMN RAT! IF YOU DON’T I’M GOING TO BEAT THE CRAP OUT OF YOU!”

“Would you do that if Honda-san were here?” questioned Yuki softly into Kyo’s ear. Kyo suddenly turned mighty red, wanting Yuki to get away from him as far as possible. But he suddenly calmed down and turned his head away from him, of course not wanting to make eye contact once again.

“…What do you want?” snapped Kyo as he closed his eyes. “And why did you have to bring her into the subject in the first place?”

“…Because she is the subject,” spoke Yuki softly. “…You already know…don’t you.”

Kyo opened his eyes and looked up at Yuki who was staring at Kyo with serious eyes. He would always see huge lavender eyes on him when he was talking with Tohru, but around him, they would turn into dark empty black holes, wanting to suck the life out of the person he gave the look to.

“…Know what?” said Kyo stupidly as if he didn’t know anything.

“…You can be so dense sometimes,” sighed Yuki as he still pinned down Kyo on the roof.

“WHAT DID YOU SA-!” shouted Kyo until his face was suddenly an inch away from Yuki’s face. He felt Yuki’s breath pressured against his face, which made him feel really uncomfortable. But then Yuki closed his eyes and looked away.

“…I’m not sure,” spoke Yuki as he opened his eyes again. “But I think I grew this strong feeling with Honda-san…”

He’s actually admitting it?” thought Kyo surprised as he looked up at the calm Yuki. "He’s actually admitting that he likes Tohru? Wha…where the hell did that come from? And why is he telling me this in the first place?”

“But…” spoke Yuki as he tilted his head towards Kyo. “…You have done the same as well.”

Kyo suddenly blushed as red as ever, but he tried to hide it by forcing out his anger against him.

“WHAT THE HELL?” shouted Kyo as he tried to break himself free again. “WHY THE HELL WOULD I DO SOMETHING STUPID LIKE THAT?”

“Why would you do something like that?” questioned Yuki quietly as he suddenly tightened his grasp against Kyo’s wrist. He cursed back at him until he noticed how serious Yuki’s face looked.

“Er…why are you telling me this load of shit anyway?” snapped Kyo as he jolted his head straight towards Yuki. He looked at him with an angry face; this was not how he was planning his day. Yuki was surely ruining it for him and he did not enjoy it one bit.

“…I’m planning to tell Honda-san soon,” spoke Yuki quietly as he suddenly softened his grasp against Kyo’s wrist. Even though Kyo was about to push him off, he kept still, seeing how worried Yuki looked.

“…I…I figured,” said Yuki as he looked away. “Even though she might see me as…some kind of close friend…or maybe even a brother…she might see how serious I am. She…she isn’t the type of girl who is interested with love right now…but I’m going to try and show her what it’s like…I just thought I should give you a warning…incase…incase you would want to show her.”

Kyo suddenly turned mighty red once again, and right now his back was aching like crazy. He couldn’t let Yuki say something like this to him without fighting back. Since he loosened his grip against Kyo, he pushed him off and instead pinned him back onto the roof, and look at him with full rage.

“LOOK YOU!” shouted Kyo. “I DON’T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT BUT IT DOESN’T BOTHER ME ONE BIT! GO ON TELLING HER HOW YOU FEEL FOR ALL I CARE! IT DOESN’T MATTER TO ME AT ALL YOU DAMN-!”

He suddenly noticed again how calm and serious Yuki’s face looked. He had never seen his face this way before. It would always be a sign of hatred or something you want to wipe away, but this expression he was showing to Kyo…it wasn’t like Yuki.

“You know…” spoke Yuki as he looked away. “…you’re a damn cat that you are.”

“WHAT DID YOU SAY?” shouted Kyo as he looked down at Yuki with a face full of rage.

“My I never knew you two love birds would go on at it so early in the morning,” spoke a familiar yet friendly voice outside. “Tohru-kun would become so jealous if she saw this! But I recommend that you should do it where no one would see you if you understand what I'm saying."

The two boys looked over at Shigure who was waving happily at the two of them. It seemed he went to buy some food noticing the grocery bags he was carrying.

“You two need to get a room!” cried out Shigure as he made a strange dramatic pose. “What do you think the neighbors will say?”

“WE DON’T HAVE ANY NEIGHBORS!” shouted Kyo as he released Yuki quickly.

“And what do you mean by “get a room?” snapped Yuki as he eyed Shigure carefully.

“Anyway, ought to tell you,” said Shigure. “Tohru went to work after we all ate last night. She just told me this morning so I thought she should get some sleep.”

“She went to work after dinner?” questioned Kyo surprised. “Why so late?”

“Why so worried?” questioned Yuki stupidly.

“LOOK YOU!” shouted Kyo as his anger started rising again.

“Hey if I were you two I would keep it quiet so she can get some sleep,” said Shigure as he shook his head. “You two just don’t know how to treat a lady do you. Tsk tsk tsk.”

He walked inside the house hearing the front door closing. Both Yuki and Kyo kept quiet for a moment, but soon as their eyes met, they gave each other despicable looks as Yuki stood up.

“I’m going to get something to eat,” muttered Yuki as he walked towards the ladder. “What was I thinking coming up here and telling him this?”

As he was about to climb down the ladder, he suddenly heard the annoying voice through his ears.

“…How long?” questioned Kyo as he lay back against the roof.

“How long what?” questioned Yuki as he rested his elbow against the foot of the ladder.

“…How long are you going to give me?” questioned Kyo quietly. “…For me to tell…her.

Yuki kept the same expression on his face as he looked at the paranoid cat lying on the roof.

“…I’ll let you decide,” answered Yuki as he started climbing down the ladder.

Kyo remained on the roof. He wasn’t hungry now, and of course he was afraid of the things Shigure bought. He stared at the clearing sky after a stormy night and saw birds chirping their way through the sky. He sighed to himself and looked at the ladder.

I wasn’t planning my day like this…” thought Kyo as he sighed once again. “But I now know that he has the same feelings as I do for Tohru…and he’s actually giving me a warning? What kind of guy is he? Doesn’t he care if I win her? God dammit he made my mind confused!”

Later that Day

After around three o’clock, everyone saw Tohru walking downstairs, yawning very lightly. As soon as she opened her huge blue eyes, she smiled very happily, showing her face saying, “Hello everyone!”

“Ah Tohru-kun you’re finally awake!” said Shigure delightful. “There is some leftovers from today’s breakfast if you want something to eat!”

“Thank you Shigure-san!” answered Tohru happily as she walked inside the kitchen. She noticed Yuki pouring himself some water, and as Tohru opened the fridge, she noticed Yuki somewhat close to her.

“Don’t trust the meal he made,” whispered Yuki. “Don’t trust anything he makes.”

As Tohru turned around she noticed him drinking his water as if nothing had happened. She soon giggled to herself, thinking how funny Yuki was, and he made a delightful smile at her.

Nighttime

“I’m heading to work now!” shouted Tohru as she reached for her bag. “I’ll be back around eleven so I’ll just buy something to eat on my way home!”

“Don’t get kidnap!” exclaimed Shigure as he flipped through the TV.

“How can you say something like that?” questioned Yuki stupidly. “Just come home safe Honda-san, all right?”

“Okay!” answered Tohru as she beamed at him. “Bye!”

She placed her shoes on quickly and rushed out the door, heading her way to work where she always enjoyed.

“Don’t get kidnapped?” questioned Yuki as he walked upstairs. “You can be an idiot you know.”

“Where are you going?” questioned Shigure as he suddenly grinned. “Are you going to see your beloved Kyo again?”

“Nothing like that happened,” stammered Yuki stupidly as he continued his way upstairs.

Oh it’s so fun making him mad,” thought Shigure to himself as he started daydreaming.

11:04 p.m.

Tohru walked joyfully home in the forest, waiting to see everyone’s faces again. Oh those faces always made her day no matter how mad or sad she was. She closed her eyes and started imaging everyone’s faces when she got home, and she knew how they would express themselves.

Shigure, smiling his way as though he won the lottery. Tohru very much respected Shigure because he was always in a cheery mood that would brighten her day. He would always joke around which always made her glad yet confused.

Yuki; his calm plum eyes smiling it’s way softly when you look into them. Yuki is just so different from other seventeen-year-old boys, which makes him so interesting. He has a very bright and graceful heart and mind that would surely warm her heart.

And that leaves Kyo; not so much the typical guy you would find. Unlike Shigure and Yuki, he doesn’t smile that often. His bad boy attitude always shows no matter what mood he’s in. But that just fills the remaining spot inside Tohru’s heart. Even though he may seem all bad on the outside, he is a very heart-spoken person inside.

She should probably considered Shigure as somewhat her father…and Yuki and Kyo as her brothers. And she would be the daughter to Shigure and the sister to Yuki and Kyo…that makes the whole family…and Kyoko would always make a great mother no matter what…even though it would be strange if Kyoko was Shigure’s wife…what was she thinking?

I’m sorry mom,” thought Tohru as she sighed. “I didn’t mean to think like that.”

As she opened her eyes, she suddenly noticed something shiny behind a tree. Even though it probably wasn’t important, it just somehow caught her attention. She rushed over to it and smiled happily while staring at it in awe.

It was a black feather.

It was the most gorgeous feather Tohru had ever seen. Sure it was just probably a simple feather from a crow or something, but it seemed too valuable to just toss away. Maybe she could keep it as some kind of souvenir…but a souvenir for what? Maybe for remembering the Sohma territory? Yep that would do well for her.

She continued walking home, twisting the feather between her two fingers continuously as she admired its beauty. But soon she saw her tracks becoming brighter, and as she looked up, she noticed the Sohma’s house with the lights still on.

She smiled and rushed over to the door, ready to say hi to everybody. As she opened the door, she dashed in and saw everybody at the table, eating some leftovers Tohru made during the evening.

“Hello everyone!” greeted Tohru happily as she took her shoes off.

“Tohru-kun just in time!” said Shigure. “Our newlyweds have an announcement!”

“CUT THAT OUT!” shouted Kyo as he slammed his fist against the table.

Tohru placed her bag down as she heard Kyo shouting like crazy to Shigure as he laughed helplessly. She rushed over to the table and suddenly placed the feather on the table while smiling.

“…What’s that?” questioned Kyo.

“It’s a feather you dimwit,” muttered Yuki stupidly.

“I KNOW THAT!” shouted Kyo.

“I found it while walking home!” explained Tohru as she clapped her hands together. “It looked so wonderful and beautiful that I figured I should keep it! It’s probably a stupid idea and it’s not that great but I find it…somewhat enjoying!”

“I don’t see anything stupid about it,” said Yuki as he smiled. “If you like it then I like it.”

Kyo immediately looked over at Yuki, noticing that same expression he always wore when he saw or talked to Tohru. That conversation he had with Yuki earlier this morning suddenly struck him and he suddenly started pounding his head with his fist, trying to get it out of his mind.

“…Kyo-kun is there something wrong?” questioned Tohru confused.

“Gah I’m going to bed,” spat Kyo as he stood up quickly. He stormed up the stairs until everyone heard his door slam.

“…Did I say something?” questioned Tohru worried. “OH NO I SAID SOMETHING TO DISPLEASE HIM!”

“Calm down Honda-san,” said Yuki as he chuckled a little. “He’s just in a cranky mood. Besides I think it just started raining; hearing the raindrops outside.”

“Oh really?” questioned Tohru.

Tohru’s Room

She lay on her bed as she heard the raindrops pounding against the roof. She held the feather in her hand and continued twisting it back and forth between her fingers.

I don’t know why,” thought Tohru as she smiled. “But this feather just seems different from other ones I find on the ground.”

She looked around the room and saw the reflection of a swaying tree against her wall. The shadow creep Tohru out a little, but she knew it wasn’t anything too important.

You know what Tohru?” thought Tohru to herself as she looked back at the feather. “It would be more amazing if this feather had like…like some powers or something!”

She heard the howling of the wind through her ears, but for some reason she thought of it as some kind of music.

That would be wonderful if this feather could grant wishes,” thought Tohru. “Even though thinking about this is stupid, it would be great. I know something like that could never happen…but if this feather could grant a wish…”

She took a long look at the feather, admiring the shape and textured to it.

“…I would wish that the Sohma’s weren’t cursed with the Zodiac Curse,” thought Tohru as she smiled to herself. She placed the feather on her desk besides her bed and shifted to her side.

Oh well,” thought Tohru. “Anyway I better sleep. I owe the Sohma’s breakfast since I slept in today.”

She closed her eyes and started to sleep as the storm continued outside. Wouldn’t it be great if a feather like Tohru could grant a wish? Hm…let me think about it…OF COURSE IT WOULD! But even when she thinks something like that could never happen…isn’t it more strange that a family is curse with the Zodiac animals instead of a magic feather?

She will just have to find out on her own…

Hey that’s the end of chapter one. Oh and don’t worry. For all of my stories I make a little introduction before starting the real story…but I suppose this chapter kind of explained a lot of things…anyway! Here is a preview of chapter 2! (I haven’t thought of a title yet…STUPID AKINA!)

Preview

“…A wish?” questioned Kyo as though he were talking to a four-year-old, but he shouldn’t think of Tohru like that.

“Yes!” answered Tohru happily. “I was thinking that if that feather could grant a wish, I would wish that all the Sohma’s Zodiac Curse was gone!”

“You would really wish for that?” questioned Kyo as he made a light smile.

“Yes!” said Tohru. “Then all of you can live your life happily and freely! Everyone will start forgetting about the curse and enjoy the way their lives could be! Shigure-san could go off surrounded by women, Yuki-kun won’t have to make up any more excuses for not becoming close to the girls, and you won’t have to turn into your true form!”

She suddenly clasp her mouth shut quickly. That wasn’t suppose to come out. She wasn’t suppose to say those words…not in front of Kyo. She knew how much it bothered him when his true form was mentioned. She had really just made a big mistake.

She looked at Kyo and noticed him staring down at the floor. Right now he was really pissed, even if Tohru talked about his true form he was still ticked off. He didn’t want to show Tohru his anger, so instead he turned around and started to walk away, or at least he tried to.

Tohru grabbed Kyo’s wrist, trying to stop him so she can apologize, but she realized that she made the biggest mistake ever.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I wonder what the big mistake was! Wait…I do know what the big mistake was…but you don’t bwa ha ha ha! Evil Akina at it again! Anyway, please r&r and continue reading my stories!
