Okay folks, the last chapter. Sorry it's so short. But don't worry, chances are I'll write another Rave ficcy, as soon as I get some inspiration. Thanks to everyone who read and reviewed! Now it's time for another sweet rhyming disclaimer. Prepare yourself, you might not be able to handle it.

Disclaimer: Elie is sweet, Haru is hot. Rave Master I like, but own? I do not.

"So lemme get this straight," Musica said in disbelief. "Elie got into a fight on her way to a casino, got seriously hurt, and has been hiding it from us for the last few days?"

"In a nutshell, yes," Haru answered.

"Pluuuuuue," Plue moaned sadly.

"How could we not have noticed what was wrong with Miss Elie?" Fretted Griff.

"She didn't want to tell us," Haru told them. "I don't know why, so don't bother asking." Elie had told him, but he didn't want to believe it. He couldn't believe that Elie was scared of him not liking her.

"That's messed up, man," said Musica. "I just hope she'll be okay."

After riding all night long, the group finally made it to the nearest large city early the next morning. They wasted no time in finding the hospital and admitting Elie. After two x-rays and an ultrasound, the doctors announced that Elie had two broken ribs, several more ribs bruised at varying levels of severity, internal bleeding, nutritional deprivation, and minor blood loss.

"Holy shit" was Haru's response. Everyone else was silent.

Elie was not awake during any of this. She had slipped into a comatose state, but a nice nurse assured a pale-faced Haru that this was nothing to worry about, and she would probably wake up sometime later that day. Haru managed to give her a small smile to complement her big one, despite his concern for Elie.

Finally, after a 15-hour coma and 4 hours with an intravenous drip, Elie came to. Haru, however, did not notice this, seeing as how he'd fallen asleep. He was sitting in a chair quite close to Elie's bed, and he'd fallen asleep with his arms folded on her bed, head resting on them. As her eyes opened and she slowly took in her surroundings, she smiled softly at Haru's sleeping figure, content to watch his body rise and fall as he breathed in and out in peaceful slumber. Haru felt Elie's movements soon enough, though, and woke up.

"Hey," he whispered sleepily. "How're you feeling?"

"Better than I have in a long time," she answered with a smile. "So did they find out what's wrong with me?"

"You're gonna be in the hospital for at least a week, they say, unless you manage to make some miraculous recovery." He repeated the doctors' diagnosis.

"Really? That much?" Elie said, stunned. "Wow…"

"And to think that you went that long without telling me about any of it," Haru added bitterly, frowning.

"Haru, I'm sor—" Elie began.

"I just don't get it, Elie!" Haru interrupted. "Why wouldn't you tell me?"

Elie dropped her head. "I was scared."

"Of what? I don't understand! Why would you be scared to tell me? Don't you trust me, Elie?"

"Of course I trust you!" She said quickly. "I already explained this."

"But I don't understand," Haru repeated, making Elie sigh.

"Haru, I don't want to talk about this. Can't we just forget about everything that happened?" She asked hopefully.

"Elie. Do you even know what's going on? You're in the hospital with severe injuries. How am I supposed to 'forget' about that?" He demanded.

Elie said nothing. Haru sighed.

"Look, Elie, hear me out. I don't know why you don't trust me enough to tell me your problems." Elie started to protest, but Haru pressed a finger to her lips to quiet her. "If you don't really like me, or you want to leave, then that's your choice. We—I—can't force you to stay with me."

"I knew it."

"Huh?" Said Haru, surprised by her reaction.

"You want me gone." Elie's eyes hardened and her face became expressionless. "I knew you never really liked me."

"What are you talking about?" Haru asked, even more confused now.

"You don't have to stay. You can leave me here, go with Musica and Plue and Griff. Find the Rave. I don't need your pity. You don't have to keep pretending that you need me there." Elie's voice was a low whisper, but monotone and deadpan.

"Stupid!" Haru yelled suddenly. Elie jumped, her eyes wide as she stared at him. "Elie, it's not rocket science! I like you, okay? A lot! How could you think that I don't care about you? And you're wrong! I do need you! I'd have gone crazy if I had to travel all that time alone with a candy-eating dog! You're the best thing that's happened to me in… ever! But you don't even trust me enough to tell me that you're hacking up blood left and right!" Haru realized where he was, and what he was doing, and his voice dropped to a mumble. "Look, I just want you to get better and come back with us, okay? And I want you to tell me next time you have a problem. I don't know what I'd do if anything happened to you, because…" His voice dropped to a barely audible whisper. "I love you."

"Say that again?" Elie asked, not having been able to hear the last part of his rant.

"I said, I love you," Haru whispered in a tiny voice.

"I'm sorry, I still didn't hear you," Elie said, grinning. Haru glanced at her, and suddenly grinned demonically, making Elie frown in confusion. All of a sudden, Elie felt a pair of warm lips on hers. When he finally pulled back from the kiss, he repeated himself again, loudly enough to be heard.

"I love you."

Elie laughed and hugged him. "I love you, too."

Epilogue (one week later)

"Come on, Elie! Wake up!" Said a very frustrated Haru, shaking Elie by her shoulders. "We're packing up now! Let's go!"

"Fiiiiine," Elie said, rubbing her eyes.

"How's your stomach?" He asked on a more serious note. Elie smiled at him.

"Great! I hardly feel anything!" Haru sighed in relief.

"That's good. No more secrets, 'kay?"

"No more secrets," Elie agreed.

And just like that, her worries were whisked away like dust in the wind.

Aaaaaand cut! That's a wrap, folks! Hope y'all liked it!
