Sailor Moon: the Harper Saga

Congratulations to Sirenic Griffin for solving the riddle. As a result, as I promised you, I am placing you in my story. As for the others, do not worry. There will be other times for you to win something.

Chapter 6: The Fallen Knight and the Awakening

Megiddo is fuming. The scar on her stomach flares up once in a while, but that’s not want bugs her. It is that Akcola, Mystic. The aura that she exudes is similar to a woman who used to be her Commander.

It was a long time ago. A young woman with pale-blonde hair was training with her sword. It was the same exercises, day in and day out. She was idealistic then and the one planting these ideas was her Commander.

She had baby-blue hair tied in a ponytail, the same color as her eyes. She also had dark skin, soft to the touch. However, there was something about her aura that resonated with power.

The woman that Megiddo was use to be a Summoner Knight, a warrior with unparallel Summoning ability. This was one of the divisions of the Army of Spira. The woman in charge of all of the army was her Commander. At the tender age of 21, she had all of the armies under her command. It was quite the accomplishment for someone so young. She was given the title of Paladin.

But even with that, she was magnanimous and treated all of her subordinates with grace. Megiddo would know. She was her best friend.

“Hey --” The Commander would call to her. It is strange. She had lived hundreds of years after the betrayal of her homeland and now, she couldn’t remember her own name.

“Good afternoon, Lady Paladin.” She would greet. The Commander would make a face.

“Please --, don’t call me that outside of the training grounds.” She would laugh and that made her feel good. The two of them were the best of friends.

But, those days are over. Megiddo will not falter in this. She has to. The Lady Paladin must die. She is the last thing that connects her to her past.

“Lady Paladin, prepare yourself. I will destroy you this time, you and you new Akcola friends.” With that, Megiddo makes preparations to attack.

Friday signals the end of the weekend. But, in one Myth and History class, certain students are being tortured by a teacher with three silver braids. And his class isn’t even the last one. To Chibiusa, he seems to be going on forever. So she puts her head down discreetly.

Pyros, on the other hand, is taking notes from Brittinia-meijin’s lecture. He inconspicuously looks at Chibiusa and smirks. It seems like she is tired or bored from the lecture. Not that he could blame her. He thinks that it is cute. However, in order that she not get in trouble, Pyros decided that she needs to be waken up.

He uses his pencil and pokes at her side. She is unresponsive. The teen with the hedgehog head frowns a bit. Then he tries again, this time with a bit more force. Once again, Pyros is met with her sleeping form. Now he is worried.

From the corner of his eye, he sees Brittinia-meijin coming down the aisles, collecting the homework that was due this week. It would be only a matter of time when she would be found out.

Brittinia-meijin comes to her desk and sees the sleeping girl. The red-eyed teacher frowns. “Tsukino-san! Why do I find you sleeping in my class again?” he asks and shakes her awake. There was no response.

He pulls her head out of her arms and checks her forehead. She is burning up. “Oh my!” he whispers to himself. Without a second thought, he picks her up bridal-style and hurries out of the classroom. “Soryuju-kun, would you please run to the nurse and tell her to expect a patient?” he asks calmly.

Pyros needs no other motivation and quickly gets up out of his seat to assist Chibiusa.

Chibiusa wakes up in a room of white. She sees a woman sitting down, playing on a harp.

“Harper, what are you doing here?” She asks. The Harper strings her instrument and begins to play.

Oh Chibiusa, my dear girl

There is something you need to know.

Look out for Griffin’s tales of yore

For they will lead to ruin.

“I don’t get it.” The pink-haired Senshi is confused. “What does this mean?”

Oh how I wish you to tell you this

I only know how to be vague.

To protect the Griffin’s soul

You need to join a dragon.

“A dragon? You must mean the Dragon Warrior.” A noticeable blush forms on her cheeks. There was something about him that made her blush. It is similar to the way that Tuxedo Kamen protected Sailor Moon. There is some deeper feeling. And yet, there is another person that holds her affection. A spiky redhead by the name of Soryuju Pyros. He radiates kindness and wit. Plus, there was the time that he protected her from the bullies. “I understand.”

There is one last thing to say

Your weapons are filled with po’er hid

Do not forget to unleash it

For it will save you all

“My weapon? You mean that it holds some power besides the Zodiac Circle.” Before Chibiusa can get her question answered, her world begins to fade into color.

She opens her eyes. It must be a dream, she thinks. Chibiusa takes in her surroundings. She is in the nurse’s office and she is lying on the nurse’s examining table. Staring at her are Pyros-kun and Brittinia-meijin. The teacher looks at her with concerned eyes.

“Are you alright, Tsukino-san? You fell asleep in my class and had a fever.”

“I am all right now, Brittinia-meijin.” She tells him. The look on both of their faces lighten immediately. Both of them look relieved.

“Well, I have to get back to my class and restore order. Soryuju-kun, would you look after her and take her to her final class for the day?” The silver-braided teacher doesn’t await an answer as he leaves, his hair flapping wildly behind his back.

Pyros is left in the room with Chibiusa. The fact that this is a secluded area brings many naughty thoughts into his head, all of them concerning Chibiusa. He shakes them off.

Chibiusa looks at her friend shaking his head and cocks her own. “Why are you shaking your head, Pyros-kun?” There is worry in her voice.

“Nah, I’m all right.” He tells her. Although, that is the farthest thing from what he is feeling, for the sake of Chibiusa, that is what he will tell her. “I just needed to bring my thoughts into subjugation.”

The pink-haired girl doesn’t understand what he means by that but if he is feeling well, then why push the issue. Rather, she changes the subject. “Oh, Pyros-kun, what are you doing this weekend?” she asks. A dumb subject, but at least it’s off the topic.

“I think I will study. That is what my parents and guardians are expecting of me.” There is some truth to it. My mother expected me when I came to Japan to do the best that I could, he thinks. My guardians are expecting the same thing too. In fact, they entered the school system to make sure of it.

Chibiusa is shocked. “Are you serious?” she practically yells. The Pink Sugar girl jumps off the nurse’s table and feels the redhead’s forehead, checking to see if he is sick. Pyros blushes due to her sudden reaction.

“You are a teenager, Soryuju Pyros. You need to start acting like one. How about this! After school today, we are going to the movies. There is a new movie coming out called Sirenic Griffin. We are going to see it and you will learn what it means to be a teenager.” There seems like there is no way out from the agreement. Plus, the idea of being in a dark movie theater alone with Chibiusa intrigues him.

“Are you sure that you are up to it?” Pyros asks. “I mean, you have a fever.”

Chibiusa smiles. “Such a gentleman, Pyros-kun.” She tells him. The hedgehog-haired teen lowers his head to hide the blush. “But I will be fine.”

A bell can be heard outside the door. Chibiusa, in a move that shocked her, takes Pyros by the hand. “Come on, we have to go to gym.” And with that, the redhead teen is pulled off in the direction of the gymnasium.

History is the last class that that Hotaru and Shingo have before the weekend comes. As they are listening to the teacher drone on about whatever, the two think of what today really means to each other.

Hotaru thinks about the person that asked her out on a date. Well, he didn’t say date per se, but the connotations were there. He doesn’t realize it yet but he is royal personage in the future Crystal Tokyo. Being brother of the Queen will me that he must be protected by the Queen’s Guardians. So she has to be careful about how she enters this relationship. If there is bad blood between them, then later there will be some awkwardness to say the least. Not only that, she had never even had thoughts about a relationship. All she really needed were her friends. All other people were icing on the cake. But there is a small part of her that wanted someone to love her in the way that lovers do. She isn’t just a Senshi but a woman also and she had needs and wants.

When she told her parents about this date with Shingo, Haruka-papa grinned cheekily and told her not to give it up so easily. The dark-haired girl, now knowing of innuendos, blushed in horror of what Haruka-papa said. Michiru-mama, after making sure to punish Haruka-papa, told Hotaru that she thought it was cute and she knew that this would happen ever since she and Shingo shared a ride together. Setsuna-mama only smiled. She was probably thinking of her own boyfriend who was coming back sometime this week or next week.

It was hell to think of what to wear for today. Since today is Causal Friday in the school and everyone is allowed not to wear the uniform, Hotaru rummaged through her closet for something to impress Shingo-kun. And that’s when Setsuna-mama gave her a silky purple blouse with spaghetti straps to wear. It also came with some beige slacks for some maneuverability. The woman with the forest-green hair told her that it was sure to catch the boys’ eyes.

When she came into the school, Shingo was the first to notice her and he was shocked, too shocked to speak. His bright blue eyes were so wide, it seemed unhealthy and Hotaru thought that they were going to pop out of their socket. And so, Setsuna-mama was right. The Firefly hoped that she didn’t mean literally because with a few more inches, they were going to fall out of their rightful place.

As Hotaru is thinking of the events that concerned her date, so is Shingo thinking about Hotaru. Remembering the clothes she is wearing made him think of how well they fit her. They show off her lovely curves and accentuate other ‘assets’, but they don’t say that she is a whore, rather that she is a classy woman. It shows enough to tease, but not too much that it leaves nothing to the imagination.

The first thing that the cinnamon-haired boy realized when asking Hotaru out on a date was the fact that she was friends with Chibiusa and Usagi. Not that they would object to it, more so that Usagi would tease him about it.

It wasn’t a year ago that he was asked to the junior high school prom by Asagi Ririn. It was a reversal prom night, meaning that when normally the boys would ask the girls out, the girls would ask the guys out. It was for confidence building, he was told later.

When he told his mother about it, she was happy about it and told him to be respectful. There was no giddy banter; no ‘you’re becoming a man.’ He really appreciated it. His father gave him the ‘Birds and Bees’ talk, which, for a month, he couldn’t look at his father without blushing. But when he accidentally slipped and told his sister, she went nuts. Usagi pinched his cheeks and told all of her friends. Do you realize how embarrassing that is, when a hyperactive older sister invites her friends and takes pictures as you go the prom with a girl?”1

But the prom was so-so. He had an okay time. Asagi-san just didn’t spark the flames of love like Hotaru did and the dark-haired girl wasn’t even conscious of it. That is how bad he likes her. Now, if the movie goes well, he’ll ask her to be his girlfriend. He knows he is affected badly if he would be able to stand his sister when Shingo tells her the news.

The bell rings and the students run off, free for at least the weekend.

Meanwhile, Gym, the last class for Chibiusa, Pyros, Momo and Kyusuke, is beginning. Chibiusa, having a nurse’s deferral, is excused. But, she notices that there are more girls in her gym class than she realized. Strange!

The teacher (if you could call it that) comes out and addresses the guys. “All right now. It’s shirts and skins basketball.” He divides the ten boys into two groups and, as luck would have it, Pyros and Kyusuke are on the skins team.

There is loud screaming from the girls as the boys start to take of their shirts. Most of them were okay in body appearance like Kyusuke. One of them is better off keeping his shirt on, with ‘love handles’ jiggling on his side. But it is Pyros that steals the show. His rock-hard abdominal muscles are visible as are his muscled arms and legs. Some of the girls swoon at the sight. The teacher shakes his head. “It’s always on the basketball days when all of the girls flood the gym.” He mutters to himself and blows the whistle to begin play.

Chibiusa is stunned at the sight of Pyros. Obviously, he works out and does some martial arts. But it’s different to her because she actually felt the tough muscles against her. And the thing that scared her is that she wouldn’t mind to feel that again. The Pink Sugar girl shakes her head. It is better not to think about it. So, with Momo, she cheers for the skins.

The game ends with the skins winning by a few points. It was a close game, but Kyusuke, who was really good at the game Chibiusa realized, cinched it with two back-to-back three pointers. Unfortunately for Pyros, he looked like he never played the game before and was struggling to keep up. He got it eventually but it was by then, the end of the game.

After the boys showered and changed into clean clothes, the foursome are ready to go. Chibiusa walks with Pyros as they say goodbye to Momo and Kyusuke. She looks at him with a smile. “Did you know how to play basketball?” she asks

Pyros sweatdrops and tries to laugh it off. “I’m sorry! But this is the first time that I have ever played the game.”

Chibiusa snorts in a very unladylike manner. “Wow! You really are out of pop culture.” She tells him.

“I am sorry, Chibiusa-chan.” He emphasizes her name for effect. “But growing up, I was disconnected with pop culture. I didn’t even have a T.V. growing up.” The revelation shocks Chibiusa again.

“Are you serious?” she nearly yells. She puts a finger to her chin. “Well then, I will have to introduce you to pop culture, starting with the movie today.”

Now the thought of going to the movies with Chibiusa to Pyros signifies that there is a close relationship. It is going to be dark and the two of them would be nearly alone. Now, although he liked Chibiusa more than a friend, he doesn’t know how Chibiusa feels about him.

The spiky-haired teen decides to go with the Pink Sugar. The two of walk to the movie theaters and without realizing it, they are walking side by side.

At Tokyo Liberal Arts College, Usagi and Minako have no Friday classes. So the two of them meet on the quads and decide what to do for the day.

“U-sa-gi-chan!” The self-proclaimed Goddess of Love yells out to her friend, waving as she runs.

“Minako-chan” Usagi waves back. “What do you want to do today?” She remembers that she has a date with Mamo-chan later on in the night.

“Well, there is the new movie, Sirenic Griffin, coming out today. And I heard from my network that the lead actress, Katsuki Genevieve, is going to be there.” She sighs loudly, not noticing that two figures are coming towards the two of them.

The blue-eyed princess sees the two figures and smiles. “Hello, Luna-san, Ashenron-san!” Minako turns around and blushes at Saigen.

“Yo!” Saigen waves at the two. “How are you guys doing?” The wind blows Saigen’s bangs all over his face and Minako blushes and turns around so that Saigen can’t see her face.

“We are both fine, Ashenron-san.” Usagi answers for the two of them. She sees that Minako is at a loss for words, a rarity at times. “Actually, we are going to see the new movie, Sirenic Griffin. Do you guys want to come with us?” Minako gives her a dark look.

“Usagi-chan” she whispers tersely.

“That sounds like a good idea.” Kiara, after listening to the conversation, decides to speak. “What do you think, Saigen-kun?”

“Yeah, I haven’t seen a movie in a long time.” The purple-streaked man replies. “Aino-san, are you sure that we won’t be intruding on your time?” He smiles at Minako brightly and she falls.

“I…I…” Now stammering isn’t another quality that Minako possesses, but against the attractiveness of Ashenron Saigen, she could do nothing. “Okay!” she whispers defeated.

With that, the three women follow Saigen to his car. “This is every guy’s dream, taking three very attractive women to the movies.” He laughs at his own joke as Usagi blanches, Minako blushes, and Kiara shakes her head. Saigen hops in the driver’s seat, Kiara in the passenger, and Usagi and Minako in the backseat. Minako makes sure that she is behind the driver.

Megiddo goes before Queen Medea at her dark throne room. She bows low.

“Megiddo, you haven’t given me any results.” She yells. “You told me that you would have found the Harper by now.” The dark Queen looks at the pale-blonde with fury. “You told me that you would have it by now. I gave you power and I gave you an extended life. But that doesn’t seem to move you to produce results. So how are you different from Appolyon?”

With a wave of her hand, a dark ring blasts Megiddo. “Yahh!” she screams as she is blasted. “I am sorry, my Queen. I will find the Harper.” She groans and picks herself off of the floor.

“If you don’t succeed, then don’t come back, Megiddo.” Queen Medea sighs and shifts on her throne.

A cloud of smoke appears at the throne and a dark-haired Summoner appears. “You called for me, my Queen?” a masculine voice asks her.

“I want you to watch Megiddo as she goes out today.” Medea tells the Summoner. “I want you to see what I am dealing with.”

The Summoner nods and the two of them leave the courtyard.

“How is it difficult to find the Harper really?” she muses as goes deep into thought.

Shingo and Hotaru are biking to the movies. There is a comfortable silence as the two make their way to the Karakura Movie Theater.

“Hotaru-san, what movie are we watching again?” He asks, breaking the silence.

“I don’t know.” She responds. “I thought you were choosing the movie.”

The cinnamon-haired teen gasps. “I don’t know any good movies.” There is a noticeable blush that stains his cheeks at his mistakes.

Hotaru laughs good-naturedly. “It’s okay, Shingo-san. We’ll find out what to what when we get there.”

Shingo sighs in relief. It is his first real date in a long time and already he is nervous and forgetting stuff. It is a good thing that Hotaru is taking it well.

Finally, the two of them make it to the theater. There is a big crowd awaiting the actress that would be attending the premiere of her new movie. Shingo and Hotaru look at the scene as reporters, gossipers and other such people crowd a beautiful woman with curly red hair. Shrugging their shoulders, the two of them go to see what the hubbub and run into two familiar people with very familiar hairstyles.

“Chibiusa-chan, Soryuju-san, what are you two doing here?” Hotaru asks. Then, a sly smile makes its way across her face. “Wait! Are you two on a date?”

The two teens reach a new record of red as the two are accused. “Tomoe-san, that’s not it.” Pyros tells her. “Chibiusa-chan told me that I needed to act like a teenager and stop studying for a while.” He sees a strange look in Chibiusa’s eyes as she looks on Tomoe-san and Tsukino-san.

“But what are you two doing here together?” the Pink Sugar girl asks. “Why is my best friend going out with my cousin?”

Now the roles are reversed and Shingo and Hotaru are blushing. But neither of them says anything. “Oh my gosh!” she gasps. “My best friend and my cousin are going out!” Chibiusa nearly screeches out her realization.

“It’s not like that!” Shingo tells her. “I just invited her to go to the movies with me. Oh, and please don’t tell Usagi-nee.” He clasps his hands together in appeasement.

“Usagi-nee?” Pyros asks.

“Oh, I forgot to tell you, Pyros-kun.” Chibiusa hits her head. “Usagi is my older cousin and his sister.”

Pyros nods in understanding. “So, what are you guys watching?” he asks Shingo and Hotaru.

“We don’t know.” Hotaru tells the spiky-redhead. “The idea was to figure out what to watch when we got here. What are you two watching?”

“Sirenic Griffin!” Chibiusa tells them. “I heard that it was a good movie. Plus the actress to the movie is going to answer any questions of her role in the movie. So I told Pyros-kun that he was going to accompany me because he needs to learn how to be a teen.”

“Sirenic Griffin, eh?” Hotaru wonders. “All right! Shingo, do you want to watch it?”

Shingo shrugs his shoulders. “I don’t mind.”

With that, the four separate in their groups and leave.

Saigen parks in the movie lot and opens the doors for all of the ladies. Once again, the three women respond differently to the stimulus. Usagi thanks him, Minako blushes and sprints to Usagi’s side, and Kiara shakes her head and tells him to stop flirting. Once there, the foursome spots the reporters, gossipers and such people crowding around the lead actress. Pushing their way to the register, they buy four tickets to the movie, Sirenic Griffin.

Once there, both Minako and Usagi spot a very noticeable pink head dragging a spiky redhead.

“Did you see that, Minako-chan?” Usagi asks in a secretive voice.

“I certainly did, Usagi-chan.” Minako giggles in excitement.

Kiara and Saigen look at them strangely with a struggling smile on their face. “Uh, what are you guys talking about?” the baby-blue haired woman asks.

“Well,” they begin to talk simultaneously. “We saw a head of hair that belonged to our friend, Chibiusa-chan, and she was with this spiky redheaded guy. So we thought that she would be out on a date. And so we thought that we would give the two a bit of a push, make them boyfriend and girlfriend, and everyone will be happy because we are Agents of Love.” With that, imagined fireworks go off in their head and confetti is thrown as the two girls strike poses.

Meanwhile, Saigen and Kiara are looking at them incredulously, a nervous smile on their faces and a gigantic sweatdrop on the back of their heads. “Scary!” Kiara whispers. “Hold me.” Saigen whispers back.

“Tsukino-san” Kiara calls for Usagi’s attention. The blue-eyed princess looks at her inquisitively. “Why would you interfere in the love life another person?” she asks.

“Oh, it’s not interference.” Minako tells the ponytail woman. “It’s just what our circle of friends does. It’s all in good nature.”

From out of the corner of Usagi’s eye, she sees a girl who looks like Hotaru standing around a guy who looks very much like Shingo at the concession stand. After getting a bag of popcorn and two sodas, they head into the theater that was playing Sirenic Griffin.

“OH MY GOSH.” Usagi’s voice escalates as she realizes who were walking into the theater together. Saigen and Kiara take a step back as she squeals and tells her co-conspirator, and very animatedly at that, of who she saw go into the movies together.

“This is in good nature?” Saigen asks. He turns to the girl with the baby-blue ponytail. “May I ask a question, dear Kiara-chan?”

“We are here because you asked to go with them, Saigen.” Kiara anticipates his question and answers it. “This is all your fault.”

“So cold, Kiara-chan.” He shivers for effect. “But I do remember that you said it was a good idea.” A faint blush of embarrassment flitters across the Nubian girl and is gone. “And I wish that you would stop reading my mind.” He adds as an afterthought.

The purple-streaked man places his hands on Minako’s shoulders, effectively stopping her jabbering and causes her to blush. Usagi looks at the blonde, finally realizing what Minako feels for Ashenron-san. She has a crush on the purple-eyed guy. “Are we going to watch the movie?” he asks.

The self-proclaimed Goddess of Love can only nod and the four of them walk into the theater and get seats in the middle of the viewing area. Usagi sits at one side, then Minako, then Saigen and finally Kiara on the other side.

Now, Hotaru and Shingo, though they do not realize it, sit three rows in front of Usagi and Minako. Pyros and Chibiusa sit a row behind Usagi and Minako. The room begins to darken.

The movie begins to play. As the opening credits play, the lead actress’s character, a woman by the name of Silecia appears. She is singing and dancing around in a meadow when an evil witch appears. Jealous of her beautiful voice, she curses her with an ugly form, a griffin, and Silecia is doomed to repulse people attracted to her lovely voice.

As the movie progresses, Pyros is completely bored out of his mind. As he looks to Chibiusa, he notices that she is tearing up, obviously affected by the fact that the evil witch cursed this woman. Patting her hand gently, he offers what little comfort that he afford. Chibiusa looks at him with shining eyes and gives him a brilliant smile and Pyros’s heart melts.

At the same time, Hotaru is looking at the movie intently, trying to follow the plotline. The dark-haired girl doesn’t notice that Shingo is causally stretching out his arms in a yawn. With a swift and awkward move, he wraps his arm around her shoulder and gently brings her closer to him. Hotaru notices this and allows herself to be brought into him. She rests her head on his chest and can hear the rapid thumping of his heart beating. A tiny blush creeps across her face. Without conscious thought, she takes in his smell, cinnamon and a musk that describes him to a T, gentle and strong. Perhaps a relationship can work between them. With that, she allows herself to be immersed into the movie.

Meanwhile, Usagi is tearing up and blowing her nose loudly into a handkerchief. Minako is staring at the sleeping Saigen, who got bored of the movie very quickly. Kiara decides to do some homework in the theater to get her mind off of the plot-less movie.

The movie comes to an end when the prince saves her by killing the evil witch in a predictable turn of events. They marry and live happily ever after.

The end credits begin to play and the theater light brighten. Chibiusa, who spent the entire movie clutching Pyros’s hand, notices who is sitting in front of her and blanches. “We have to get out of here, Pyros-kun.” The Pink Sugar girl tells him and clutches his hand tightly.

“I don’t understand, Chibiusa-chan.” He barely gets to finish his sentence when he is hauled to the exit, only to find ushers directing them to the main lounge area because Katsuki Genevieve, the actress who played Silecia, is going to answer audience questions.

“Oh no!” she blanches. “I forgot about this part. If Usagi catches me….” There is a sense of dread that Pyros catches and the end of the unfinished sentence.

“Why?” he asks curiously. “Are you not allowed to be in the movies without supervision?”

“No, that’s not it.” She tells him as she shakes her head. “It’s just that she will give me a hard time when she realizes that I went to the movies with a boy and she will probably try to intervene by playing Agent of Love.” Just the thought of made her tremble with agitation.

“Chibiusa-chan, are you ashamed of me being your friend?” Pyros asks, worried with good concern.

“No, it’s not that.” The Pink Sugar girl shakes her head and flails her arms so that she can emphasize the point. “It’s just that she makes a big deal out of all my friends that are boys and tries to set me up with them. I just don’t want to put you through that.”

“But what if I want to be set up with you?”

Chibiusa looks into Pyros’s honey-colored eyes to see if he is joking. He leans in close to Chibiusa.

“Chibiusa-chan!” Someone yells for Chibiusa and the two are startled and blush. They awkwardly separate. Someone with blonde hair tied in two Odangos waves to her. The Pink Rabbit moves away from Pyros.

“I knew it.” Usagi runs to her and hugs her. “I thought I saw you here.”

“Jeez, Usagi.” Chibiusa chokes out. “You’re embarrassing me.”

She sees the redhead hedgehog and smiles. “Sorry about that.” The blue-eyed princess extends her hand. “My name is Tsukino Usagi, Chibiusa’s cousin. It’s a pleasure to meet you.”

Pyros takes her hand. “Soryuju Pyros. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance.”

“So,” Usagi drawls, a sly smile grows on her face. “Are you on a date with Chibiusa-chan?”

The two of them blush. “I…I…No!” Pyros stammers. “Chibiusa-san and I are friends and she dragged me to the movies, saying that I don’t get out.” A glint of dismay flickers in Chibiusa’s eyes at the use of the honorific –san.

Hungry eyes look at Chibiusa. “So Soryuju-san is saying that my Chibiusa-chan dragged a guy to the movies?” Chibiusa is nervous because of the look that Usagi is giving her. Before she can answer, a reverb from the microphone jolts their attention to a makeshift stage. Minako, Saigen and Kiara stand a bit behind Usagi as the Hype Man makes his way to the mike.

“Are you guys ready to meet the actress, Katsuki Genevieve, the Sirenic Griffin?” The man asks the audience. Loud screams answer him.

“Well, here she is and she is going to answer your questions.” Applause greets the curly redheaded actress as she flashes her brilliant smile at her adoring fans.

“Thank you all so much for coming to see my movie.” Katsuki-chan(2) tells her fans. “It is an honor to receive such a welcome. And now I will answer any questions you might have” She looks out in the audience and spots a woman with pale-blonde hair raising her hand. “Yes, the blonde woman.”

She stands up and smirks. “Do you pray?” she asks menacingly.

Katsuki-chan furrows her eyebrows. “I don’t understand the question.”

With that, the woman makes her Seashell Staff appear and mutters an incantation. “Open the door to your soul.” A beam shoots out of the staff and hits Katsuki-chan. The actress screams in pain.

Usagi, Minako, and Chibiusa gasp and run out of the theater, leaving Saigen, Kiara and Pyros confused.

The three of them head to a deserted parking lot and take out their henshin devices.

VENUS RESISTANCE, MAKE-UP

FUTURE MOON RESISTANCE, MAKE-UP

PRESENT MOON RESISTANCE, MAKE-UP

No longer are they normal human beings, but Sailor Venus, Sailor Chibimoon and Sailor Moon. Transformation complete, they head back to the now deserted lounge area. Before them, they see an opened white door and the Summoner looking inside.

Megiddo finishes looking inside and closes the door. “Wow, you surprise me, actress.” She smirks. “I would think with all of the acting that you do, you would have at least kissed one guy. Or is it that it has to be serious and not pretend for it to count.” The Summoner laughs at her own joke. “No matter. You are going to die anyways. But look on the bright side, at least you will die on top.”

“Stop right there.” A loud voice commands Megiddo. She looks over in that direction in disinterest.

“Actors and actresses allow people to dream and you are trying to destroy that. I won’t forgive you.” The voice tells her. As she steps out of the shadow, she is revealed to be Sailor Moon and she has Venus and Chibimoon in tow. “Agent of Love and Justice, Pretty Sailor Soldier, Sailor Moon. In the name of the Moon, I’ll punish you.”

“Sailor Venus.” The other blonde Senshi announces. “In the name of Venus, I will give you divine punishment.”

“Sailor Chibimoon.” The pink haired Senshi announces. “In the name of the Future Moon, I’ll punish you.”

Megiddo smirks at the women. “Then do so.” She challenges them. “But first, deal with the magical onslaught of Gema.”

Sparkles of light float around her as she summons a wrinkly and old magician, complete with staff and spell book. The creature known as Gema laughs as he summons fire to burn the Senshi.

Venus brings her hands to her chest with her palms outward. A yellow heart materializes in the gap between her hands. She snatches the heart.

VENUS LOVE-STRUCK BLASTER

The fire connects with the heart beam and both are cancelled out. Gema laughs. “Ha ha ha! Do you really believe that you can defeat me like that?”

He summons a clay monster from his staff. The fighter rushes towards Venus and tackles her. “Venus!” Sailor Moon cries out. Without thinking, she takes out the Millennium Sword and stabs the creature. It disappears in a flash of light.

Megiddo looks at the scene in shock. “But that’s not possible.” She shudders. “Only Akcolas have weapons made of Orichalcum. Where did she get a weapon of that caliber?”

Gema frowns. “So what if you have a weapon of Orichalcum? I will kill you all anyways.” He closes his eyes in deep thought. In an instant, he opens his eyes and brings storm clouds into the lounge room.

INDIGNATION

Bolts of lightning crash from the cloud and hurtle towards the Senshi. “There’s no time to dodge.” Chibimoon shrieks.

SILENT WALL

The bolts crash harmlessly against the shield. The three look behind them and see a woman with a glaive. “Saturn!” Sailor Moon gasps.

Saturn introduces herself. “My star is the planet of Silence, the Senshi of Death and Rebirth, Sailor Saturn.”

The dark-haired Senshi swings her glaive menacingly. The magician laughs at their united front and summons darkness. “Do you think that one more warrior will tip the balance in your favor?” He glares at them fiercely. “I hope that you are strong enough to stop this attack because if you can’t, please say goodbye. There is no escape from this.” With that, he creates a wall of solid ice behind them.

DARKNESS WAVE

A tsunami of darkness moves languidly towards the Sailor Senshi. “We have to stop it somehow.” Venus cries out.

“We have to attack all at one.” Saturn suggests.

Your weapons are filled with po’er hid. Do not forget to unleash it for it will save you all. Chibimoon remembers what the Harper tells her. “Sailor Moon, we need to use our weapons’ hidden powers.” She cries out.

“And how do we do that?” the Senshi of Love and Justice asks.

The two close their eyes and hold their weapons, the Millennium Sword and the Trident Marina. A gentle voice whispers to them. “Open your eyes and repeat the words that run across your mind!”

Opening their eyes and seeing that the dark wave getting close, the two grab brandish their weapons at the darkness. Sailor Moon makes a slashing motion with her rapier.

AIR RENDER

The motion creates an arc of Wind and angel feathers that hits the tsunami.

Chibimoon swings her trident around her body and aims the pronged end at the tsunami.

STORM WALTZ

The blast of lightning hits the tsunami dead on.

Venus brings her hands to her chest with her palms outward. A yellow heart materializes in the gap between her hands. She snatches the heart.

VENUS LOVE-STRUCK BLASTER

The heart strikes the wave and starts to push back the darkness. Saturn swings her Silence Glaive rapidly and it begins to illuminate.

SOUL HARVESTER

With a mighty swing, a curved arc emerges from the Glaive and cancels out the darkness wave. Gema is shocked. “This can’t be possible. Darkness Wave is the strongest darkness attack that I have.”

Sailor Moon and Chibimoon look at their weapons. “I can’t believe that there are other attacks that this weapon can perform.” The blue-eyed Senshi gasps in awe. “No wonder they are so powerful.”

Gema raises his staff towards the sky. “Meteors of heaven,” he cries. “Fall from the sky and strike them with your divine fury.” He opens a portal to space and three meteors come careening towards them.

Six roses surround the Senshi and a rose petal barrier flare up, causing the meteors to be destroyed upon hitting it. Gema looks up at a balcony and sees a caped man with a top hat.

“Movies allow people to relax and take a break from the troubles of life. You are causing mischief and that is something that I, Tuxedo Kamen, cannot allow.” With that, he jumps from the balcony and lands in the midst of the Sailor Senshi.

Gema grimaces at the new face. “Great.” He drawls. “Isn’t there a proverb that says that misery enjoys company?”

He brings his staff near his mouth and whispers words of power. It starts to glow.

CLAYMORE BLAST

A sword comes out of the staff and races at Chibimoon. She cringes at the sight but is stuck like a deer caught in the headlights.

A white dragon’s spirit engulfs the sword and disintegrates it.

Megiddo is fuming. “Why the hell must you come in shifts?” she asks. “You should come all at the same time so that I can kill you all in one fell swoop.”

The Dragon Warrior steps out of the shadows and enters a fighting position. “Protecting this world with the power of Shinegard’s Dragons, I am the Dragon Warrior. Prepare to lose everything.”

Chibimoon squeals in delight at the sight of the Dragon Warrior. “You’ve come to help us.”

A smirk forms from his lips as he turns his helmeted head towards the magician Gema. “What are we dealing with here?” he asks.

Megiddo looks at the six warriors that dare to defy her and glowers. “Gema, show these insects the reason that you are given the title Screeching Starlight.”

“Yes, mistress.” With that, Gema closes his eyes in deep thought.

YEAR OF THE CAT

Now, surrounding him are the twelve beasts of the Chinese Zodiac: Rat, Cow, Rabbit, Ram, Tiger, Rooster, Snake, Dragon, Dog, Monkey, Horse and Boar. The beasts are kneeling towards Gema as if in prayer. Then, a huge demon cat forms above his head and it sparkles brightly. (3) “Prepare for the end, Sailor Senshi.”

The cat leaps at them at a quickened pace.

PSYCHIC BARRIER

A purple barrier surrounds the Senshi. The cat crashes into the barrier and slide off.

The six warriors look behind them and realize that there are two winged creatures standing behind them. “It’s Apocalypse and Mystic.” Sailor Moon realizes.

The Akcola with the long heliotrope bangs speaks. “Descending from the heavens, and given the title, Angel of Destruction, I am the Akcola codenamed Apocalypse.”

After the introduction of Apocalypse, the baby-blue haired Akcola speaks. “Descending from the heavens, and given the title, Angel of Recompense, I am the Akcola codenamed Mystic.”

The two brandish their weapons against Gema and Megiddo. “Those who trespass against the Light, we will bring them recompense unto destruction.” They say together. “Prepare yourself.”

There is an anger mark on Megiddo’s forehead. “Why must this always be difficult with you guys?” She grinds out. “Why can’t you just die like all the other normal people?”

Apocalypse runs his hand through his long bangs. “And be normal?” he asks with a cheeky grin. “That hardly seems like fun.”

Mystic stifles a groan. “Would you please concentrate on the task at hand, Apocalypse?” The two of them fly to the location where the Sailor Senshi are standing. Saturn glares at them while the Dragon Warrior takes an offensive position.

“Is it the time to fight amongst ourselves?” Mystic asks the two of them. She turns to Apocalypse. “I need you to destroy the cat. I will deal with Gema.”

With an exaggerated bow, he walks out of the barrier. The Akcola of telekinesis looks at the warriors before her. “When I debilitate Gema, you will need to destroy the beasts of the Chinese Zodiac all at one. Then Gema will be wide open.”

“But how can you stop him if the monsters are giving him power?” Venus asks.

“You will see after Apocalypse destroys the cat.”

Apocalypse runs at the cat with the Sword of Destruction drawn. The Demon Cat runs at him and catches the winged creature’s sword in its mouth. The long haired creature smiles and exudes his energy and focuses it into the sword. The beast howls in pain.

Sword regained, the Akcola with the heliotrope bangs draws a circle in front of him with his sword. It begins to vibrate and glows.

LOCUST BLADES

The circle that he drew creates thousands of blades like his katana. With one swing, he launches them at the Cat. The Demon Cat is pummeled by the blades. A few of them nail it to the wall. Struggling to get itself free, Apocalypse draws his katana to him. He holds it high in the air.

GALLOPING HORSEMEN

Four horses charge at the cat. The first one is white and its rider wields a sword. The second is red and its rider wields a bow. The third is black and its rider wields a scale. The last one is pale and Death rides it. One after the other, the horsemen slam into the Demon Cat and the creature is destroyed.

Gema looks in shock. “But the cat is invincible.” He cries out. With a growl, he brings the staff close to his mouth so that he may whisper to it. “No matter, I can create another one.”

The magician feels a hand touching the back of his head and he shudders.

MIND SHATTER

Dark purple energy launches from her palm at Gema’s head and he collapses to his knees with his eyes wide open.

Megiddo looks in astonishment. “That’s not possible.” She whispers, her voice failing her. “What did you do to Gema and how were you able to get past the Zodiac shield?”

Mystic looks at the Summoner. “The Zodiac shield protects Gema from outside attacks. But if I were to sneak inside, I would be able to attack him.”

“But it still doesn’t make any sense.” Megiddo rebuts.

The Akcola with the ponytail looks at her with disinterested eyes. “It’s simple really. Gema’s energies were focused on the Demon Cat. So he let his shield down. Now attackers would normally go after the cat and destroy it and that’s what Gema thought. But since his attention was focused on the Demon Cat, he forgot that his shield was down and that is the opening that I used to attack him.”

The Sailor Senshi look at Mystic with awe. “She is a brilliant tactician.” Venus says in awe.

“But what did you do to Gema?” Now Megiddo shrieks.

“Think of the mind as a pane of glass.” Mystic explains. “What I did was like taking a sledgehammer and shattering it. It works well with those who rely on magic attacks as it usually takes a good portion of mental finesse to conjure them and now Gema is a pitiful shell of himself.”

The pale-blonde Summoner’s face twitches and she dashes towards Mystic and swings at her. She dodges and jumps backwards.

“Sailor Senshi” Mystic calls out to them in a hurry. “You need to destroy the beasts that surround Gema in one shot, otherwise it will be useless.”

Megiddo and Mystic make their way outside to battle. Apocalypse follows closely behind them.

“How are we going to destroy them?” Tuxedo Kamen asks. “We don’t have attacks that can destroy everything at once.”

To protect the Griffin’s soul, you need to join a dragon. Chibimoon thinks of what the Harper told her this afternoon. “I got it, guys.” She yells out. Five expectant ears lean to her. She turns to the Dragon Warrior. “Dragon Warrior, you can levitate, right?” she asks.

He nods in response. “Then take me so that I am directly above the monster.” She commands. There is a faint pink tinge on her cheeks when she suggests it.

“Are you sure, Chibimoon?” the helmeted hero asks.

“This is the only way.” She responds.

The Dragon Warrior nods and takes her in his arms. The blush intensifies a bit but doesn’t flare up because she reminds herself of her purpose. She can feel the warmth and strength that he provides as she is lifted off of the ground. Against his chest, she can feel that he works out and is buff beyond someone his age. His arms provide security. And yet, it seems familiar.

The two of them are high above Gema and the Chinese Zodiac beast. “Now let me go.” She tells him. There is an audible gasp from the Dragon Warrior.

“Do you know what you are asking from me, Chibimoon?” he asks. “We are very high up and if I drop you, then you will have a very little chance of surviving.”

She looks at him with tears. “Please trust me.” There is a pause and then a reluctant nod. He lets her go. As she is falling, she summons the Trident Marina in her hands.

Chibimoon twirls the Trident Marina around while water trails the tri-pronged end. She spins around as she twirls it for a moment. With the pronged end raised towards the sky, she grasps it with both hands. The symbol Cancer appears in front of the pronged end. She slowly rotates the Trident as the symbols of the Zodiac appear one after another: Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, Pieces, Aries, Taurus, and Gemini. They form a sort of circle.

MOON … ZODIAC … LIGHT … CIRCLE

She impales the center of the circle and it launches. The circle destroys the Chinese Zodiac beasts in one fell swoop.

The Dragon Warrior flies to her and catches her.

Chibimoon looks at the Dragon Warrior and tears start falling down her face. She hugs him fiercely. “Thank you.” She whispers. “Thank you so very much.”

The Dragon Warrior tenses up at the sudden show of affection but cradles her in his arms. She probably thought that she was going to die after destroying the Zodiac Beasts. “It’s alright. You are still alive.”

The fiery-haired teen looks at Sailor Moon. “Please destroy Gema, Sailor Moon.”

“Hai” she answers. Taking the Millennium Sword in her hand, Sailor Moon takes an offensive stance against the vacant-eyed Gema.

A faint trail of light sparkles from the sharp tip. She continues to swing it as the light glows brighter and brighter. When it is as bright as the morning sun, Sailor Moon traces out a square, starting from the top and going counterclockwise until the quadrangle is completed.

MOON … SILVER … MILLENNIUM … STRIKE

She pierces the inside of the square. The top line hits Gema, then the left line, then the bottom line, and finally the right. When the center is penetrated, an energy spike pierces the Summon in its vital area. “This… isn’t… happening” is the last thing that Gema cries before being obliterated.

With that, Sailor Moon runs to Katsuki-chan’s side and places her ear to the actress’s chest. “She’s going to be fine.” Sailor Moon tells them. “Now let’s help Apocalypse and Mystic.”

With a quick nod, the warriors head outside and they are met with the battle between Megiddo and Mystic.

The pale-blonde Summoner runs at Mystic but is stopped in mid-dash when Mystic places her hand on her forehead. “I can’t move.” She realizes and is thrown by Mystic’s mind.

Growling, she takes her Seashell Staff and whispers words to it.

GREAT DIVIDE

Slamming the staff on the ground, a finlike energy wave rushes towards the Akcola with the ponytail. But she dodges with ease. Using her Celestial Bow, she launches energy arrows at the Summoner. But all of them are avoided.

“Is that it, Lady Paladin?” the Summoner asks, which makes Mystic gasps. “Oh, you didn’t know that I finally figured out who you are?” There is a feral grin on her face. “You were the Commander of all of Spira’s forces. No wonder you know so much about the Summons and how to counter them. You commanded us to make war with the forces of darkness.”

“So you knew me as Lady Paladin.” Mystic tells her with a shrug of her shoulders. “That’s all right. I also know who you really are, Andrea. You were my best friend.”

“Andrea, eh?” Megiddo chuckles. “So that is the name that I cast away in exchange for power.” Slouching a bit, the Summoner looks at Mystic. “But I have to ask. How did you survive the cataclysm?”

“Someone gave his life for mine.” The winged creature responds. “Now let me ask you a question. Why did you choose this road when clearly you were taught from birth to abhor evil?”

“My queen saved me from the cataclysm and gave me power. I will not fail to serve her purpose.” Black lightning came out of Megiddo’s staff and it goes through the Akcola. “What the hell?” She turns around and sees Mystic behind her.

“Open my mind to the world of imagination.” She yells and a giant cannon is set on her shoulder and aiming at Megiddo.

PSYONIC ASTRAL CANNON

Megiddo screams in pain as the purple laser cannon hits her. When the attack is complete, Megiddo slumps to her knees. “This is the end of you, Andrea.”

A ball of energy races towards Mystic and she jumps back.

“I am sorry, Lady Paladin, but the Queen wants this one alive.” A masculine voice tells her from the shadows. Stepping out, she sees brown hair with a cowlick near his forehead. With a wave of his hand, a portal of darkness forms under the pale-blonde Summoner’s feet and she is sucked in. “Until we meet again, Lady Paladin.”

And like that, he is gone.

There is silence for a space and then Mystic turns to the Dragon Warrior. “Dragon Warrior, come here.” She asks.

Hesitantly, the teen makes his way to the archer. “Why?” he inquires.

“Under the orders of Armageddon, you and I are going to fight.” She tells him and takes an offensive stance against him.

With little warning, she flies towards him and throws a left hook. He dodges it and counters with a balled kick. The two trade punches and kicks, neither of them landing a blow. Then, in a surprising move, the redhead does a roundhouse kick and knocks Mystic back a step or two.

“Not bad, Dragon Warrior.” She commends. “You are getting stronger.”

“I don’t think it’s that.” He shrugs his shoulders. “I think that you are not a hand-to-hand fighter.” The Dragon Warrior says nonchalantly. “Therefore, it will be easier to attack you.”

He rushes towards the Akcola with the ponytail and is stopped in the same fashion as Megiddo was a moment ago.

“Do not underestimate me.” She tells him. With her mind, she throws him in the air. The Dragon Warrior levitates above her. Mystic aims her Celestial Bow at him.

REIGNING ARROWS

She shoots an energy arrow at him but the Dragon Warrior dodges. “I can’t believe one who calls herself the perfect archer missed.” He taunts but when he sees her quirking an eyebrow, the teen turns around and sees millions of energy arrows rushing towards him. Channeling the spirit of a fiery red dragon into his hands, he beckons the power to form a huge beam. He extends his hands into the fireball position.

HOLY DRAGON BLAST

The beam fires from his hands. Unfortunately for him, it is too close to effectively work and the surge of his own attack throws him back. Plus the arrows shoot through him, weakening him. After the final arrow hits, the Dragon Warrior falters.

While on the ground, Mystic pivots on her left foot making a half-spin and then on her right foot, as if drawing a circle with her feet. She forms an indigo sphere at her feet and, like a soccer player, kicks it to her knees. With her knee, she kicks it into the air.

PSI KICK EARTH

She jumps into the air, twirling her body for the awesome kick she is preparing for. Mystic kicks the sphere and it hits the Dragon Warrior square in the stomach, keeling him forward before throwing him forcefully to the ground.

“I believe that I am the victor.” She announces. “You did very well, Dragon Warrior. You are growing stronger. Please, for this world’s sake, grow stronger so that you will be able to stand against the evil one.”

Nodding once to Apocalypse, the two of them fly away.

“Dragon Warrior!” Chibimoon cries and she rushes towards his side. The Dragon Warrior gets up, but not without stumbling a bit.

“I am fine.” He breathes out. She looks at him with shining eyes. “Thank you once again for saving me.” She tells him and, without thinking, kisses him on the cheek (well, the small part that isn’t covered by the helmet).

He stammers slightly and takes off, his thoughts in jumbles. The pink-haired Senshi sighs. “Why did this situation seem so familiar?”

After the battle, Hotaru looks for Shingo around the movie theater and finds him at the place where they chained the bikes. “I was looking for you, Hotaru.” He tells her frantically and hugs her close. Hotaru let out a small gasp at the show of affection.

“I’m sorry, Shingo.” She tells him. “I am so sorry.”

And with that, the two stare into each other’s eyes and they kiss. Shingo runs his tongue awkwardly across her lips and she gives him entrance. The two pink muscles twine with each other in a delicate dance. Hotaru feels weak in the knees from the kiss and leans on the cinnamon-haired boy for support. “Please tell me that we are us now.” She whispers. “I don’t what to be you and me anymore. I love you that much.”

Shingo smiles. “Would you like to be us?” he queries. A tiny nod from the dark-haired girl is all he needs. With a kiss on her forehead, he whispers in her ear. “Then let’s be us, Tomoe Hotaru.”

“Right, Tsukino Shingo.” She replicates.

At the entrance of the movie theater, Pyros stands looking for Chibiusa. When she comes out of the building, he runs to her. “What happened?” the spiky redhead asks.

“I was trapped where Sailor Moon was attacking the monster. I couldn’t get out.” She tells him. It pricks her heart that she has to lie to him, but it is for his own good. “But Sailor Moon helped me get out and here I am.”

“I am glad to see you okay.” He tells her and smiles brilliantly at her, which makes the Pink Sugar girl blush furiously. “Come on. I’ll walk you home.” The two walk together to Chibiusa’s house.

The ride for the college foursome is quiet. None of them have anything to say to each other for a good five minutes. “So” Saigen breaks the silence. “How did you guys like the movie?”

“It was alright.” Usagi responds and sighs. “Yeah” Minako echoes.

With a shake of his head, Saigen turns his attention to the road. “We’ll be at the dorms in a few minutes.” He tells them and with that, the silence drags on.

Meioh Setsuna had the day off and spent it at the Gate of Time, making sure that no enemies attack in her absence. Seeing nothing, she returns to her house. At that time, the phone rings. The long-haired woman picks it up.

“Moshi moshi?” she speaks.

“It’s good to hear your voice, Setsuna-koi.” The voice on the other end tells her.

“Ivan-koi.” She whispers. There is a laugh at the other end.

“I am glad that you haven’t forgotten about me after all these three years.” Ivan chuckles. “But now, I have some news to tell you.” Unconsciously, she clutches the phone tightly. “I am coming back on Sunday.” He tells her.

“Are you serious?” she asks. “To stay this time?” Her voice starts to fail.

“Yes, I am coming back to stay.”

Setsuna feels that her eyes are watery. Finally, her boyfriend is coming back. “Then I will pick you up at the airport.” The two start creating a pickup plan for him.

Megiddo is sleeping on a bed, her breath coming in short gasps. The Summoner with the brown cowlick watches over her. “I understand what I am up against.” He speaks aloud but not to her. “Unfortunately, I am not allowed to interfere yet. So, imoto-chan, get better and destroy the Sailor Senshi and the Akcolas.”

“Nii-san.” That is the last thing that Megiddo whispers before falling out of consciousness.

Another chapter done. I thank you all for reading this and I hope that you do me a kindness by reviewing. Who knows? Maybe you too can be the victim of the day.

This is the prom that my girlfriend had. And it was embarrassing. If anyone wants to hear the story, get in contact with me and I will tell you.

According to my Japanese girlfriend, it isn’t uncommon to refer to stars by –chan, plus I am lazy and don’t feel like writing her name over and over.

This attack is inspired by a famous manga-turned-anime. If anyone can tell me which one, there might be a reward for it.
