Thelma.

“Now what?”

“I’m bored.”

Cassie rolls her eyes, fumbling through the closet. “You’re always bored.” Throws clothes on the floor – pauses on a blue skirt – throws it on the pile with the other cast-offs.

Thelma frowns. “Where are you going tonight?”

“Out.”

Thelma frowns more. “Where out?”

“Outside the club. I’m hoping if I stand there long enough, nihilistic angels will sweep through the town and ravage my body.” (Matter-of-fact). “What do you think?”

Thelma grins. “I think we’d both have more fun if I was the one doing the ravaging.”

“Thelma!”

“What?” Thelma feigns innocence. “At least I wouldn’t be bored!”
