New Friend

“Who are you?” A young girl stepped in to view. Rin takes a good look at her. “What! You look just like the girl in the painting!” The girl nodded.

“What’s your name?” “My names Shiori” she said shyly. “That’s a nice name. My name’s Rin!” “I like your name to” said Shiori.

“Do you live here?” “Yes” said Shiori sadly. “Oh, I didn’t see anyone else around.” “I live alone here. My parents died a long time ago.” Rin felt sympathy for her new friend. “Oh, I’m sorry” said Rin sadly. She knows what it was like to lose people you care about.

“I don’t get visitors often.” Rin looked up at her. “By the way, is the toad demon and dragon friends of yours?” “Others?” questioned Rin. “Oh, you mean Jaken and Ah-Un. Yes there my friends’ sort of…” “I think there looking for you.” Rin let out a sigh, finally she meant a girl her own age and now she had to go to mean old Jaken.

Rin sighed again. Shiori looked at her and smiled. “Do you like games? Do you want to play together?” Rin looked up at Shiori and smiled. “Lets play” Rin said happily. “What do you want to play” asked Rin. Shiori stood there thinking and then got a smile on her face. “Let’s play a trick on your toad friend!” “Okay let’s play a trick on Jaken!”

(Elsewhere Sesshomaru is still trying to pick up Rin’s scent)

“Where could they be?” Sesshomaru had looked and looked but he still hadn’t found Rin. As he continues to look for Rin the rain let’s up. “Finally” he sighed. He soon picked up Rin’s scent and followed it.

(Back at the mansion, Jaken is still trying to find Rin)

“Where can that human be! I’ve looked every where.” (Sighs) “I guess I should be thankful that Lord Sesshomaru hasn’t shown up, if he was here, and I didn’t know where Rin was he’d …. “ He shakes his head and goes on looking for Rin with Ah-Un.

Rin and her friend Shiori are getting there plan ready. “Okay, hears the plan, first put this on.” Shiori hands Rin an outfit. Rin slips it on. “Hey! I look like a ghost!” Shiori smiles. “That’s the plan.” After awhile they both look like real ghosts! They go off to find Jaken.

“Hmm, I give up!” I can’t find that Stupid girl! Little does he know that Rin and Shiori are sneaking up behind him. “Ever get the feeling that someone is right behind?” said Jaken to himself nervously. Jaken turns around, sees two ghosts and screams, very, very loudly I might add. “AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!” In fact he screams so loud that the whole bloody world can hear him!

Outside in the woods near the mansion, Sesshomaru covered his ears and cringed at the horrible sound that came out of nowhere. “Jaken” he growled to himself angrily.

Back in the mansion, Jaken is running like a scared cow to the nearest door. He breaks right though the door and I mean he literally went though the door without opening it. As he ran off the pouch of mansion, he slips in the mud and falls face first in it.

Back in the mansion Rin and Shiori are laughing very hard at Jaken’s reaction to there prank. “That was great” laughed Shiori. “You can say that again” laughed Rin.

Back outside Jaken is getting out of the mud, when he sees Sesshomaru coming. He raised an eyebrow at Jaken. “What are you doing Jaken and where is Rin?” “Oh, Rin is in the mansion, I’ll go get her.” Jaken hurried in the mansion to find Rin.

“Rin, Get out here right now! Lord Sesshomaru is here and its time to go!” “I hope those ghosts are gone!” thought Jaken to himself.

Rin looked up when she heard Jaken’s voice. “Lord Sesshomaru is here!” she squealed. The two of them head to the front doors. “He’s the dog demon you travel with, Right?” “Yes, it’s him.”

“Well I guess you have to go now.” Rin looked back at Shiori and got a sad look on her face. “Yes I do” said Rin sadly. “Rin, you’re the best friend I ever had. Thank you for spending the day with me.” “Your one of my best friends to Shiori!” “Thanks Rin, that makes me feel happy…”

“I was thinking Shiori, since you don’t have anyone to live with, why don’t you come and travel with me, Lord Sesshomaru and the others. I just know Lord Sesshomaru would let you. He’s very reasonable and kind.” Rin closes her eyes and pictures her and Shiori together with Lord Sesshomaru. “What do you think?”

(Silence)

“Shiori” called Rin. Rin turns around, but there’s no sign of her friend. “How, wear could she be?” Rin stops dead in her tacks. “Could she have been a real…” Rin’s thought was interrupted by Jaken’s voice. Rin shakes her head and sees Jaken in the hall looking for her. “There you are, come on girl Lord Sesshomaru is waiting!”

The two of them leave the mansion and go to Sesshomaru. “Are you okay Rin” asked Sesshomaru in his calm voice but you could here a hint of concern in his voice. “Let’s be off then.” He turns and begins to walk away.

So the group leaves and starts there trip again. Rin takes one final look at the mansion and smiles. She will never forget her ghostly friend. “I’ll never forget you Shiori” she said to her self. “Hurry up girl! Don’t fall behind!” Rin looked at Jaken and then said “I’m coming.” She runs up and walks next to Sesshomaru. “Guess what” Sesshomaru looked down at Rin. “What, Rin.” “I made a new friend today…”
