The Stranger With My Face

Dear Journal.

My life has become one big mess ever since Draco and I broke up last week. I can't bear going without his wit and his charm. I want to move on, but every face in Slytherin reminds me of him. It seems as if a plague has taken over me and I don't know how to shake it.

I don't understand how he could mean so much to me, and enfuriate me, all in one day. He broke up with me so he could be with Tracey Davis. What he sees in her, I will never know.

But then, what did he see in me? We were together for so long, how could he just break things off so suddenly? It makes me cry just thinking about it.

-Pansy.

Pansy Parkinson had been a tortured soul for the past couple of weeks. Her break up with the infamous Draco Malfoy had been a real blow to her heart. She tried to be happy, the TriWizard Tournament was upon them, after all. Dumbledore had just announced it this morning. Pansy wished she was old enough to enter, so she could show Draco what she's really made of. But alas, there was an age barrier surrounding the Goblet of Fire.

She sat at breakfast, pushing her meal around on her plate, thinking bitter thoughts on Draco. And that's when it happened.

Two red-headed Gryffindors by the names Fred and George Weasley, had run past the age barriers, and the result had sent the entire Great Hall into a fit of laughter. Even Pansy laughed, which lifted her mood a bit. The twins had each grown long white beards on their faces. They both sat on the floor, laughing stitches, at the similarity they now shared with Dumbledore.

Dear Journal,

And that's when I knew, that the only way to make Draco jealous, was to take the heart of a Gryffindor. And my pick would be one of the twin Gryffindors...those who came from the family he loathed most. It would be perfect.

Fred and George were making their way to the Hospital wing, chatting merrily while stroking their beards.

"That was wicked" Fred grinned, braiding the white strands of hair that hung from his chin.

"Yes, though I do wish our plan would have worked." George replied.

"No matter, I say this was worth it anyways."

"me too"

The brothers entered the Infirmary, only to be bombarded by Madame Pomfrey.

"Have you two gone completely nutters? What is this nonsense! I Never! Back in the day.."

Fred laughed, "Nice to see you again, Madame" he sunk into a low bow, taking George with him.

"yes," George added, standing up right, "But enough with the small talk. What d'you have for us today?"

The nurse threw up her hands in exasperation. "I give up! Clippers are in the rest rooms, I assume you two can shave by now?"

"Of course!" Fred grinned, making eye-contact with his brother. "We'll be angels, Madame. Promise"

Madame Pomfrey rolled her eyes. "Whatever" she grumbled. The twins made their way toward the bathroom

"Oh, and Fred, dear?" she called sweetly. Fred turned around.

"Yes?" He waggled his eyebrows.

"Never," She growled, "Call me 'madame' like that again"

Pansy sat outside the Infirmary, waiting for one of them to come out. She had it all planned out, and today, she was going to snag her a twin. Which one she got, however, she didn't care.

Finally she saw the door creak open, two red heads exiting through it, beard-free. Pansy went in for the kill. She walked briskly across their path, allowing them to bump right into her. She purposefully threw her books all around, throwing herself to the ground as well.

Fred and George, it seemed, didn't know what to make of the situation. "er-are you alright?" one of them said.

"Hey, George, isn't that that Slytherin chit who's bedding Malfoy?"

"I think it is!"

"want some candy?" The one she supposed was Fred said, grinning wickedly. She raised an eyebrow.

"I'll have you know that Draco and myself aren't 'bedding' anymore, as you'd like to put it. Now are you going to just stand there or are you going to be gentlemen and help me with my things?" She gestured to her books and parchments which were strewn all over the floor. Fred and George exchanged glances before shrugging and helping Pansy with her things. She made a point to make them feel awkward by "accidentally" reaching for a book at the same time, leaving his hand covering hers, or slightly brushing against one of them in attempt to reach for a book that was too far away. Contact was the key.

"Thanks," She breathed as she rose to her feet. She took in how much taller they were than her. They were tall red-headed giants! This impressed Pansy, and she made sure to bat her eyelashes an extra amount of times. Her rare purple eyes were always intriguing to guys.

One of them gave her an odd sort of look before telling her she was "er-welcome", and parting ways down the Corridor with his clone.

This would not be the last of me they would see, Journal.

The next day I went to them at their house table during lunch, making it a point that their friends overheard. I Thanked them again for being nice to a Slytherin, that it was the best form of bravery of all, and I planted a kiss onto each one of their cheeks. The looks of horror on Harry Potter's face was priceless.

Fred and George were lounging by themselves in the Common Room a couple of days later, discussing the strange happenings that had been going on. Pansy Parkinson, in the past week, had managed to catch them after every period. They wondered what her sudden violation of privacy was all about.

"honestly, I don't know what her problem is!" George grumbled.

"Honestly!" Fred agreed, rolling his eyes.

"I'mstartingtolikeherthough" George mumbled under his breath.

"what!" Fred exclaimed

"not so loud!" Hissed his brother. Fred gave him an odd look.

"I can't believe it! My very own brother, liking an over flirty, over peppy greaseball Slytherin! Malfoy Leftovers, nonetheless!"

"I know" George hung his head down in shame.

"I can't blame you" Fred said, taking Georg by surprise.

"you mean-"

"Unfortunately." Fred replied, "Please don't say it out loud."

"I won't tell if you won't" George whispered, spitting into his palm and holding it out to his brother.

"Agreed" Fred grinned, spitting into his own palm and taking Georges hand.

And, though it was not uttered aloud, this was the beginning of a war, a war over who could get the girl first.

Pansy made her way down the hallway, looking for a red head amongst the crowd. Little did she know, she was the one being seeked out. A hand grabbed her by the arm, pulling her aside, free from the current of students.

"What the-!" she snarled, before noticing who had grabbed at her. "Oh, it's you." She put on her best smile(er-smirk) and batted her lashes. "You should be careful, I was about to hex you out into an oblivion."

"I'll remember that next time" he smirked. She wasn't quite sure which one it was.

"So, for what reason have you so hastily pulled me aside?" She tucked some of her short raven hair behind her ear. he blushed.

"Well, you see..." He started, with the most peculiar look on his face. Pansy found it to be adorable and stupid all at the same time. "..I was wondering if..Hogsmeade..Weekend...this one.."

"I never thought I'd see the day when you, weasley twin, would be scared of me, a girl." She laughed, "But yes, I will go with you." She leaned up and pecked him on the cheek. He blushed furiously.

"er-thanks" He said, before rushing off back into the wild stream of people. Pansy grinned to herself.

Journal, I believe that this is only going to be too easy! I have one of them hooked, I'm not sure which one, but I'll find out. He's not important to me, anyway. I just need it to LOOK that way.

Just as long as I stay in Draco's site during our date.

he'll be sooo jealous...

Fred had heard her entire conversation with George. And when the weekend trip to Hogsmeade came around, he'd already brewed up a plan.

He met her in the Entrance Hall, having "forgotten" to wake up his brother this morning. He spotted that certain raven haired Slytherin and walked up to her real smooth like.

"'ello, Parkinson" Fred said, "Its me, George, here to take you out today."

Her face brightened. "Lovely to see you made it, George" She drew out his name and kept saying it under her breath to herself. She must be bad with names.

Fred hooked his arm in hers. "Let's get goin' then"

"let's!"

Once in Hogsmeade, they went straight to Zonko's Joke Shop. Fred entertained Pansy and made her laugh until her eyes watered.

George watched them as they walked down the streets. Holding hands, nonetheless! And nobody seemed to notice. He had thought it hilarious when His brother hadn't woken him up, he could always get into Hogsmeade through the secret passage...but when he saw the sight he saw...He was, for possibly the first time in his life, angry.

He followed them unnoticed, into the Three Broomsticks. It was packed. George could hear Fred telling Pansy he'd get them a round while she found them a seat. This is when George took his chance.

He came up to her table, his cheeks burning. "It's way too crowded. Let's get out of here" he said. Pansy looked around reluctantly.

"er-okay. Whatever you want" She smiled. smiling..., George thought, unbelievable.

So George exited with his girl, Fred returning with an empty table. "George..." he muttered, sensing the aura of his brother just presently being there.

Pansy was having a great time with George. She had made extra careful to keep in Draco's eyeshot the entire time, letting him know that the hand she was holding was a gryffindor hand, and that she didn't need HIM to have a good time.

She had been hesitant to leave the Three Broomsticks with him, Draco was in there. But she had to tell herself that she didnt have to see Draco to show that she was having a good time.

And it seemed that George had simmered down a bit after they left the pub. He wasn't constantly telling jokes, instead he was talking and blushing. She found it very cute, and she liked both sides he had to him. He could be funny and deep. It was refreshing. She never thought she'd say that about someone so...Gryffindor-ish.

George and she were seated at Madame Puddifoots, sharing an expresso and chatting about what they wanted to do once they were out of Hogwarts, when George excused himself from the table to use the loo.

He came back a short second later, a mischevious grin playing at his lips. "lets get out of here, I reckon it's getting kind of hot in here" he motioned towards a couple at a table to their right snogging eachother without a care as to who was grossed out by them. He held out his hand for Pansy. She was beginning to wonder why he wasnt holding her hand. She took it, and they were out of the Cafe.

And George was back to his funny comments and jokes. Pansy loved this side to him. He could make her laugh at anytime, just when he was beginning to bore her.

Dear Journal,

Today at Hogsmeade was excellent. I loved spending time with George, he is so funny! I think he is the one I want to go with. I won't even give the one named Fred a second glance. How could Fred be better than George, anyway?

George is perfect. He had me laughing for most of the day, and when he wasn't making me laugh we always had something interesting to talk about. Whether it be nonsense or future plans. Though I did get a bit bored with him while we were talking, he made up for it in his cunning jokes. He even pulled a trick on Draco! Draco was so angry when George slipped that Ton-Tongue Toffee into his salad.

I believe I am beginning to like him. I didn't plan on this...I don't know what i'm going to do. And the worst part is...I think I like it...

-Pansy

She closed her diary and hugged it to her chest. This, she believed, was the beginning of something great.

She was wrong...

"So you're jealous!" George was yelling. He and Fred were not happy with eachother, to say the least.

"No, I just think she likes me more!" Fred exclaimed back, "All you could do was talk!"

"that's what you're supposed to do with GIRLS!" George shouted as if it were obvious, "They Like that!"

"We'll see" Fred challenged.

"Either way," George said, sitting down on his bed smugly, "She still thinks you're me, so I have the upperhand anyway. So whatever good you do for yourself is actually doing good for me."

Fred grinned, hopping onto his own bed, "I do believe you don't know who you're talking to. Good night, George"

"Good night, Fred."

This Chirade had been going on for a week now, Pansy still clueless. Pansy was very into George by now, and reveling in the looks she recieved from all Gryffindors and Slytherins alike. She found that she didn't very much care who thought what.

In the Common Room, she walked up to her friend, Catrina. "How do I look?" She asked, spinning around so she could give her a good look. Pansy was wearing a deep purple low-cut top, which accented her eyes, and a black pair of slacks. This was a change of wardrobe, Pansy was rarely seen in normal clothing, even on weekends, like today.

"Wonderful." grinned her friend. Pansy smirked back at her. Draco was on the other side of the room, watching her.

"Hi" she greeted. He rolled his eyes.

"Nice outfit," he sneered, "It screams 'I'm professional' and 'I'm a lady' all at the same time. Actually it says the second part a bit louder."

Pansy glared at him before running off to go meet George.

Pansy was sitting with George under a weeping cherry tree that sat by the lake. He was making her laugh so much her stomache hurt. She leaned to him for support, and when she didn't need it, she stayed there. She very much enjoyed his company.

"I like you a lot" He whispered. She smiled. "I think I like you too." George grinned before pressing his lips to hers, sending multiple chills up her spine. George pulled away and grinned once again.

That's when his clone, Fred, was seen coming down to them. George threw an arm around her.

"that's not who you think it is" he said. Pansy raised her eyebrows.

"Excuse me?"

"I'm George, Not him!" he cried as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. She turned to the boy she sat with. The boy she'd just kissed.

"Is this true?" she scooted away, "Whats going on here?"

The one she thought to be George sighed. "Hes right. He's George. I am Fred. I was there with you at Hogsmeade, as well."

The true George crossed his arms over his chest. "I told you that you wouldn't get away with it, Fred." he said, "It was both of us you were with at Hogsmeade"

Fred grinned. "So what if I have a different name? So what if we both got to know her?"

Pansy looked from one to the other. "I don't even know you." She growled, "Either of you!" She got up. Fred did too.

"what do you mean?"

"I-I don't know! Leave me alone! I want to be alone!" She slapped him hard in the face before running back up to the castle.

Dear Journal,

I just found out today that those vile twin boys from Gryffindor were using me as a play thing. I thought it was just George the entire time, when really, both of them were getting to know me.

The only upside is that now I know why "george" changed his personality so much. I love both attitudes, they're both funny and easygoing. I don't knwo what I'm going to do, Journal.

I like them. I don't want to. They used me! I know what it's going to come down to, and I don't want to have to make that decision. They say Slytherins are heartless, but they're wrong. My concience will not leave me alone.

But I know, deep down, I've already made my decision.

-Pansy

Fred and George were not speaking with eachother.

Kind of.

They both sat in the Common Room, surrounded by their friends. Oddly enough, nobody hadn't said anything about the odd relationship they held with one Pansy Parkinson. It was mainly because strange things were to be expected from the Weasley Twins, and the fact that they believed it to be a sick joke they were playing upon her.

but it was no joke, and they didn't find it funny at all. Over the past week they'd really gotten into her, and George had seen Fred kiss the girl under his name.

Fred was working on his potions essay with Angelina. "eye of newt goes into the cold vaccination? Wicked"

"Yeah I can tell you all about wicked" George muttered from across the room.

"and I'll tell you how to sod off and quit buttin in every four seconds." Fred said sharply.

"whoa," Katie said from George's side, "What's with all the hostility lately?"

"Nothin," Fred rolled his eyes, "Georgie here's just sexually frustrated."

"No," George shot back, "Fred just cant find things on his own."

"You're just jealous" Fred grinned, going back to his homework, muttering under his breath. "jealous that she kissed me.."

"I heard that" George grumbled.

"good"

"I'm going to bed."

"See you."

The next day, Fred left his Common Room earlier than his other housemates. To his surprise, Pansy was already downstairs, waiting for him.

"What're you-"

"how can I tell you and your brother apart" she demanded sourly, "and which one are you."

"I'm Fred" he said honestly, "And you can tell because of this scar I have over my left eyebrow" He bent down to show her. In truth, he was nervous in her presence. But to show her that was something he couldn't do. Fred always came off to be funny and easy going at all times, while his brother was a bit more open to what he was feeling.

"Well, I'm still not sure if I'm happy with you" She frowned. Fred thought she looked cute this way.

"I don't mind" he grinned. her frown deepened.

"Are you ever serious?" She asked exasperatedly.

"Ofcourse not," Fred replied, "Why should I be serious?"

"Because you are the one who told me you liked me."

"Alright" he held up his arms, "You caught me. once."

This made Pansy smirk and uncross her arms. "where's your brother."

"Right here" Said a voice from behind them, it was George.

"Good" Pansy said, leading them to a more private area so they could speak. "Because I'd rather speak while both of you are within earshot."

"Likewise" George said. "I wanted to come and speak with you, Pansy, and I do not care if Fred hears. I am falling for you, regardless of what you feel for me. I don't know how...it's only been a week, but...I am."

Pansy looked to Fred. "Is this how you feel as well?"

He seemed pained to give away anything too deep, but, after fighitng with himself, he said: "yes. It is."

She sighed. "And I thought this was going to be easy."

The Truth was, Pansy liked them both as well. They were both very alike but at the same time, very different. George was easier to talk with about personal things while Fred was rambunctious and untame, seeming to have no time to listen, only time to play.

Pansy felt that George was too easy. He would do anything to please her. But Fred, she felt, would be a challenge, she would have to train him.

And this is why she told them that she could only choose one.

"If it were morally right, I would choose both," She explained, "But I cant and I won't. I'm sorry, but I have to choose..."

Pansy wrapped her arms around his waist as the first Challenge began, Viktor Krum coming out to face his dragon.

"I'm glad I chose you" She whispered.

"I'm glad you chose me, too. Now lets watch this bugger get fried." Fred grinned, signaling towards the field. Pansy looked over towards her past. Draco was single again, he'd been caught cheating on Tracey and she'd dumped him on the spot.

She looked towards the path she didn't go down. George was now with Katie Bell. She was glad that he had moved on, though he'd told her that he still liked her best. She felt she'd made the right choice, however.

The twins didn't feel such hard feelings toward eachother anymore, though George still glared enviously when they were together.

So did Draco.

And she loved it.
