AijinMegami: Hello people, I have a new story! Well…my other stories are….well, I'm stuck! (Sweat drops) I don't own Naruto; also I'm wondering why all those people who read Haruno Secret aren't reading it anymore? I've updated it but no one read it except one, two, or three people...
Summary: It's been 3 years since Sasuke had betrayed Konoha, many things have changed. Especially a certain Haruno Sakura, alone and almost practically abandoned by her team she has grown strong. She has been given a new mission, the death of the Akatsuki member Uchiha Itachi.

15 year old Haruno Sakura walked quietly down the empty streets of Konoha; she had been called by the Hokage to meet her at the mountain top of where the carving of the past Hokage's stood. Dawn hadn't even risen, she was curious at how a women who could barely keep her eyes open in the middle of the day wake up so early in the morning. As she treaded through the path she reminisced of what happen the last 3 years.
Uchiha Sasuke was now deemed a traitor and had been labeled an S-class missing-nin the last 3 years, after Orochimaru had taught him all that he knew Sasuke had killed him. He had known full well that Orochimaru wanted to use his body so he killed him after he learned what he thought was enough to help his strength a bit as to kill his older brother. She hadn't seen him during all that….except one night but she shook her head as to not think of that. That day was so long ago that she couldn't even remember how he looked like.
Uzumaki Naruto had left with the Legendary Sennin Jiraiya, he had returned after 2 years just for a visit but left the moment they arrived. He had become a very powerful shinobi, still holding a crush on her. His hair was still spiky and golden, his eyes more stern yet still held the innocence of a child. He now wore a black orange jacket with matching slacks. He was about Anbu level.
Hatake Kakashi had disappeared somewhere; after his team broke apart he couldn't bare loneliness and left….or so the rumors say. He had left without a simple good bye which hurt her but she ignored the pinching pain knowing he must have his reasons. Since he is simply MIA they didn't label him a missing-nin.
'How have I changed?' she mused thoughtfully, after training with Tsunade she had grown exceptionally strong but that wasn't enough for her. With her photogenic memory and increasingly sharp skills she was then taught by random shinobis, there was Anko, than Gai, and even Kurenai. She studied scrolls in her spare times and practiced with weapons, apparently she could easily become a weapons specialist like Tenten. She could cut people as well as putting them together again. Since her mind was able to learn quickly after only seeing certain hand seals a few times she mastered it in a few days.
Her wardrobe had changed as well, after changing from her red dress to a skirt and vest, she then again changed. She now wore a maroon red shirt that clung to her curves, a black net top over it. She wore black shorts that were loose and had a lot of pockets; she carried her usual pouches and weapons carrier around her. Her hair was still as short as ever except it grew all the way to her shoulder, her Konoha hitai-ate still placed in the same position as always. Her position was now an Anbu.
"Sakura….you've come…." Tsunade whispered as she stared at the rising sun, Sakura bowed" Tsunade-sama, what is it that you wished to see me for?" Tsunade chuckled, her back still turned to her" Sakura…during these past few years do you truly think that you've become strong?" Sakura frowned looking up to her former sensei" I don't know."
"You do understand the shinobi rule #25." Sakura nodded" Yes, 'No matter what happens, true shinobi must never ever show their emotions! The mission is the only priority. Carry that in your heart and never ever shed a tear', how could I forget? This was the rule I placed deep within my heart." Tsunade didn't turn around but Sakura knew she had a bitter smile.
"Liar, you say that you have control over your emotions but…you can't every let them go can you?" Sakura blinked" Your emotions can't be tamed; they're free…like the wind." Sakura sighed" Tsunade-sama, what is it that you wish to speak to me about?" she noticed the Hokage clenching and unclenching her fist" You have a new mission…"
"Will I be assigned a team?" she shook her head" No…your new mission…is to kill the Akatsuki member Uchiha Itachi." Sakura's eyes widened" What!" Tsunade still didn't turn around as she continued. Her voice strong and firm" You are to go alone, you have as much time as you need but I expect a report of your journey every month. I will give you the scroll that will allow you to go to any country and I mean any country. Apparently even the Earth and Lightening Country wish to rid the world of Akatsuki and want to at least get rid of one of them. Meet me later in my office after lunch, we'll discuss more there."
