I guided the playwright through the library on a few occasions. It wasn't just that he was easily lost, it was also because the library changed between his visits. His work changed people, and the pieces they dreamed of writing changed with them.

I wonder if the master knew what would happen if people were allowed to take fragments of their dreams back into the waking world. What it would do to the world, and to the playwright.

Should any mortal be allowed to understand that we are such stuff as dreams are made on?
