The Meeting of the Marauders

Eleven year old James Potter stood next to his father Thomas Potter.

"James," Thomas began "I want you to be good."

James nodded with a solemn expression on his face. "I'll be the greatest little angel ever." James said then grinned.

Thomas laughed "Well, at least the Nanny won't be yelling at you. Now get on the Train. You need to get moving."

James nodded and gave his dad a quick hug before running onto the train.

Sirius Black walked through the barrier to get to Platform 9¾. His family had given him a ride here, and then ditched him.

"Typical." He thought aloud and made his way to the train await all of the students to board it.

"And don't forget to send us a letter as soon as you get there. Tell us everything!" Susan Pettigrew told her eleven year old son Peter.

He nodded "Yes mom, I promised."

The boy's father grinned at him "And don't forget to give your teachers a hard time. Wouldn't want them thinking it was going to be an easy seven years."

Peter grinned back at his father "I'll do my best."

"Good. Now get on the train."

Peter gave his parents both hugs and ran on to the train to find a compartment.

Remus Lupin got ready to get on the train.

"I'll be good mom. I promise." Remus smiled at his frail mother. She was quite ill; she had been like this ever since his father had died two years ago. "And I'll send you millions of letters."

Jane Lupin smiled at her son. "Have fun at School, and make lots of friend."

Remus grinned and nodded "Yes mom."

He gave her a long hug then ran on the train.

James walked down the hall of the train, looking for an empty compartment.

Then a boy ran into him.

"Sorry." The boy said and helped James up.

"Hi." James said once he was back on his feet "I'm James Potter" He extended his hand.

The boy grinned "God." He said taking James hand.

"God? Your parents named you God?"

God shook his head "No. I'm God, but you can call me Sirius."

James nodded a little confused "Nice to meet you Sirius."

Sirius grinned "Pleased to meet you too."

The two agreed to be friends after a couple minutes, and then went off in search of an compartment.

They came across a mostly empty one, there was one boy sitting in there.

"Hi." James greeted him "Uh…could we sit here?"

The boy nodded "Sure. I'm Peter Pettigrew."

James grinned "James Potter."

"God." Sirius said "But I'm going by the name Sirius down here on earth."

Peter nodded slowly "Okay…"

The boys sat and talked for awhile, but soon another boy came in.

"Hi, I was wondering if I could sit here?" The boy asked.

James, Sirius, and Peter all nodded at the same time.

He sat down "oh, I'm Remus by the way. Remus Lupin"

"James Potter"

"Peter Pettigrew"

"God."

Remus cocked an eyebrow "God?"

"Yes, but you can call me Sirius Black." He stopped "I'd prefer it if you ignored the last name, and only used my first."

Remus laughed.

And then it began,

They tortured the teachers, created havoc all over the school, and became the well known "Marauders"

And it was all because of their meeting on the train for their first year.
