Prologue

Who am I? Thoughts ran through his head.
Why am I here?
What is my purpose?
Why?

"Wake" a female robotic voice spoke to him telepathically.
Who are you?
"I am Kessa, your younger sister."
My dear sister...
"Wake, Avery. Your mission comes."

Chapter 1

Two blue eyes glowed in the darkness as his eyelids fluttered open. Since he had just been thawed from cryosleep, he was still cold as ice. Noticing he had no clothes on, he asked the voice if she had any clothes he could wear. His voice was husky, yet it had a friendly tone.
"You still sound the same. Your clothes are in the wardrobe to your left." Avery storde to teh the wardrobe, and he found his old clothes. Before he put them on, he found that they were about to unravel on him.
"It seems I need new ones." Avery muttered to himself.
"Look at the back." Avery looked, and he found a pair of black, tough trousers, a matching black vest and a white T-shirt. There was a pair of black hiking boots in the corner. Avery put them on.
"Your gloves. I got new ones for you."
"Thank you." Avery found the new pair. They were better than his old ones: sleek, tougher and with metal plates, possibly used as a weapon.
"Kessa, where am I?"
"You have been frozen in time. Ithas been fifty years since this happened.
"Do you mean I'm still seventeen?"
"Yes."
"What of my friends, Aylmer, Jai and Ken?"
"They are either dead or very old."
"Then why have I been awakened? What for?"
"Your creation of 'Avery's Awakening' has woken two of the most powerful, most evil sorceresses. They will cause the end of the universe. You must stop them."
"But I need my friends to activate the only possible way of destroying the 'Awakening'. They have to hold my crystal open for entry. And to enter I need the seven Chosen Ones."
"Then I will send you to the past. You will convince you friends to deep freeze with you. you must start your mission now!" Suddenly a portal opened.
"Kessa, my bow, arrows and my darts please." After Avery received these weapons, he jumped into the portal.

"Poor little Avery." Jai sighed heavily. The blonde twenty-one year old ran his hand through his longish, wavy hair. Adjusting his sunglasses, he lit a cigarette. Ken grabbed it and put it out. He brushed the brown hair off his face and adjusted the large googles he wore on his head to keep his hair up. When he was sure his hair wouldn't fall on his face, Ken started to speak.
"You know, smoking is bad for you. We don't want to die early, and remember I can't stand cigarette smoke."
"You're nineteen, you're old enough to put up with it. It was a different story when Avery was around, but he isn't comming back. Right, Aylmer?" Jai was brought close to tears whenever he mentioned Avery. Aylmer stood there, silent. His short, red hair swished in front of his face adn the sunlight enhanced his good looks. yet he kept his feelings to himself.
"We shouldn't worry about Avery. We're meant to be heartless, coldblooded assassins. We don't care." However Aylmer quickly wiped a tear away before anyone noticed. Suddenly, Avery appeared to them.
"Avery?!"
"Yeah, but after cryosleep."
"Wha...?"
"You must go through cryosleep with me!"
"WHY?!"
"Because it matters in the future. The universe will end if you aren't there to help me. This is fifty years in the future!!"
"But..."
"Go! Go and help me fifty years in the future!!." Avery ran in to teh science lab. He hid behind some cupboards as he saw his past self ready for cryosleep. His punishment...
"Wait!!!" Ken, Jai and Aylmer stopped the scientists/
"What?! What is the meaning of this?!!!"
"We want to be frozen, too!!"
"No! Definitely not!! This is the punishment of Avery Marcroflowne..."
"We helped him!!!."
"Then you will go to court..." Just then ken clenched his fists. and four long spikes appeared at the knuckles of his brown gloves.
"You will regret this. I'll give you another chance." Jai had already taken out his electric wire, and Aylmer his thin, slightly curved sword. The scientists finally gave in.

Avery smiled behind the cupboards as he saw his past self in confusion as his friends and him entered cryosleep. Avery opened the portal and jumped in.

"Avery, where have you been?" Jai, Aylmer and Ken were waiting for him at the end of the time portal.
"Did you just wake from cryosleep?"
"Yeah. Man, it wasn't comfy. Now why are we here?"
"Because..." Avery explained to them what had happened. Jai, being a woman lover, was a little displeased.
"what if we'd all got married during that time and had kids?!"W
"It wouldn't have been possible anyway, since we're a bunch of wanted assassins." Avery answered.
"Whatever."
"So, what do we do now?" Ken asked.
"We have to look for the seven Chosen Ones. Wait, Kessa, where are you?"
"I am here, brother." The voice was no longer robotic, and Kessa stepped out. She was extremely beautiful, her long, light brown hair flowing to her hips. Her blue eyes were the same as Avery's. The pretty sixteen yearold ran to her brother.
"Kessa! You haven't changed a bit!!" Avery cried as he ran forward to hug her.
"I was put into cryosleep, too." Kessa replied as she ruffled her older brother's short hair, which was the same colour as hers.
"Well," Avery began. "Now that we found our first chosen one," he looked at Kessa, "we should find the other six. Kessa do you have any idea who they are?" Kessa smiled at her brother.
"Don't worry, my dear brother, I know EXACTLY who they are."
