Chapter 7

Avery was dragging his wheelbarrow of hotdogs to his dorm, until...
"Oh no." Avery mumbled to himself as he jumped in front of the barrow, trying to hide it from view (which was prety hard, especially if you've got a mountain of hot dogs in it).
"Avery, what's that behind you? I can't believe my eyes!! HOT DOGS!!!!" Zell ran to the mountain of hotdogs. To Avery, it was like a migration stampede from the Saranghetti. Ouch.
"No! It's dream! Zell, NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!" Zell tackled Avery like a professional Rugby League player. Avery's baseball cap flew from his head to the floor, and Avery stood up, brushing the dust of his clothes.
"It's like a dream come true..." Zell said, staring at the hotdogs with stars in his eyes. (Taco Bell Commercial quote: "I think I'm in luurrvve").
"Bloody hell. FINE!!! HAVE HALF!!!" Avery shouted to Zell while picking up his baseball cap and grumbled at the same time. Avery turned around and saw, not only did Zell take half, he took it all.
"ZEEEEEELLLLLLLLL!!!! I SAID HALF!!!!!" And then out of no where, Avery's share of hotdogs appeared in the wheelbarrow. Avery raised his eye brow.
"Weird..."

"Right, so where would she be?" Jai was looking around for Delilah.
"Oh! So she's not here! Oh well, better get back..." Ken tried to make a quick getaway.
"Not so fast, buddy." Jai held him by the collar. "Is that her?" Ken swallowed. Because in the corner of a classroom, was Delilah crying her head off.
"Poor girl..." Jai sighed sadly. Ken began to feel that little tingle he gets when he feels guilty.
"Fine, I'll talk to her!" Ken said harshly to Jai as he stomped over to Delilah. Delilah looked up.
"Hey..." Ken started.
"GET LOST YOU SON OF A B****" Delilah screamed at him.
"HOW DARE YOU INSULT MY MUM!!!" Ken was ready to bash her up, but he saw Jai motioned him to "calm down".
"Okay...I'm going to calm down..." Ken breathed in.
"WELL, GO CALM DOWN SOMEWHERE ELSE YOU..." The rush of air Ken breathed in came quickly back out, and almost choked the hell out of Ken.
"DON'T EVEN START ON IT!!!" Ken pointed at Delilah murderously. Delilah backed off a bit, a little scared by Ken's violent manner. Jai knew this wasn't going anywhere and decided to help.
"Don't worry," Jai told Delilah "he's not that mean. Just acts like a bastard (I know worse *cough*Aylmer*cough*). But he's real nice!"
"SHUT UP!!" Ken stuck his nose in the air.
"And he doesn't want to admit it either." Jai smiled at Delilah, who was slowly calming down, due to Jai's kind talking.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN?!! I DON'T EVEN GIVE A DAMN ANYMORE!! WHY DID I HAVE TO WORRY IN THE FIRST PLACE?!!! I'M OUTTA HERE!!!" And Ken stomped out of the room. Jai shook his head.
"Oh no, he's upset. I didn't know he was worried about me, I should apologised..." Delilah felt even worse, but had no tears left to cry.
"He'll cool it after a while. Then you can talk with him." And Jai ran out and headed to the dorms.

"Hey, why so mad?" Avery said to Ken as he passed.
"SHUT UP!!!"
"Woah..." Avery said as Ken slammed his door. Must be in one of his tantrums again. Jeez... Avery sighed and walked into his room, closing the door behind him. He chucked his hotdogs in the mini fridge, closed the shutters and turned off every light, and took out an ornamented case. He opened it and took out the only content: Avery's Crystal.
"Hmmm, still not glowing."

STOP PRESS!!!

I guess you're all wondering what in Hyne's name is "Avery's Crystal". Let's just say it stops "Avery's Awakening." But Avery made the Awakening pretty hard to stop. Mistake No. 1

START THE PRESS AGAIN!!! Come on, come on, hurry up!!!

Avery sighed and held it a bit longer, wondering when his frigging crystal would glow. Then he fell asleep...

"Avery, save me!"

THUNK!

Blood dripped everywhere. Avery stared at the dead body of Felicia, a sorceress whom he loved.
"No, this can't happen..." Avery fell to his knees, tears rushing out. They have killed his love for sport, just because she was a sorceress.
"I'll find a way to stop this." Avery said as he wiped away his tears "I'll find away to stop this horrific sport. They won't hurt you ever again! And we'll live together, forever! I PROMISE YOU!!!" Avery shouted to the skies, making sure his message reaches Felicia...

Avery woke up suddenly, still half asleep, his eyes being blinded by a light. But didn't I close the shutters, and turned off all the lights? He was fully awake. His crystal, Avery's Crystal, the only artifact that can destroy the Awakening, has glowed. The first step was complete. Then someone knocked on the door. Avery frantically looked for a spot to hide the crystal. How about under the bed, Avery?
"Good idea, Wild, thanks."
"Hey, Avery, who are talking to?"
"No one! Who's outside?"
"It's me, Irvine!" Avery opened the door after he chucked the crystal under his bed.
"Hey, Irvine."
"Yeah, just checking up on you. Met any chicks, yet?"
"Wha...?!"
"I guess not." Irvine said while stroking his chin. Avery suddenly remembered something.
"Irvine, um, do you mind round up Squall, Zell, Quistis, Seifer and Selphie for me? I want you all to meet me in one of the second floor classrooms. Yes, you have to come to."
"Sure, squirt, when do you want us to meet you?"
"Just get there as soon as possible. This is WAY urgent."
"Okies! Seeya!" Irvine ruffled Avery's hair on the way out. Aylmer saw Irvine leave.
"What's up, Avery?"
"It glowed, Aylmer! The crystal glowed!!!"
