Okay, eh. I'm real sorry that I haven't been updating in AGES. I don't really have a good excuse; I guess I was just being lazy. Sorry. Okay, if this typing comes out sounding Canadian, it's because I'm listening to my Bob and Doug McKenzie CD, eh? Go look them up.

"Goodnight, Malik-kun" Ryou said softly. Malik grunted something in return, half-asleep.

"Goodnight Yugi-kun"

"Goodnight Ryou" Yugi switched the light off and the three 12 years fell asleep immediately.

The three slept soundly, except for Malik, who occasionally twitched in his sleep. Yugi was snoring softly, his mouth slightly open. Ryou was tossing and turning slightly, as bad dreams flew in and out of his mind. He was dreaming of Bakura mostly; how Bakura had threatened him. A voice was calling out to him, above his Yami's angry voice.

"Ryou Bakura"

Ryou spun around, trying to ignore his Yami's angry threats, now bellowing in his ears. A small person was standing just in front of him. She wore mostly black and silver and Ryou felt he had heard her voice before, even though he had never seen her before in his life. The angry yelling died away.

"Come with me"

The small figure held out her hand. Ryou took it and suddenly they were flying through a whirlwind of mist and colour. Everything around him turned black. Then a scene opened before their eyes. Ryou opened his eyes and looked down. He saw two figures, one holding a small pointed knife and the other cowering at his feet. Ryou gulped and his eyes filled with tears. As the taller figure attacked the smaller one, he felt a sharp pain in his stomach. He turned to the girl beside him and saw her looking at him gravely. He opened his mouth but could not speak.

"I am you past illusion. I am here to show you the horrors of you past… soon you shall be handed over to thy present illusion… oh, here he comes now"

A tall figure was gliding towards them. He was dressed mostly in greens and yellows. He too, extended his hand for Ryou to take. Ryou grasped it firmly and they were whirling through black again. When the black pressing down on Ryou's eyes lifted, he saw three figures. One was tossing and turning violently, occasionally crying out in fear. The other two were shaking the first's shoulders.

"Ryou! Wake up!" Malik yelled desperately, tears running down his cheeks. Ryou, who had to watch over this, turned to the figure next to him.

"Do not worry, my charge" the figure said, "You will return to them…but first you must glimpse thy future… I am your present illusion..."

Ryou looked down in horror as Yugi shook his sleeping form violently, wide-eyed with fear.

"I must hand you over now…"

Ryou turned. A third figure, dressed in flowing silver robes that hung down to its ankles had appeared in front of them. It too, extended its hand to Ryou, who seemed reluctant to take it. His present illusion disappeared into the blackness. Ryou gulped, looked down at his present form, and at Malik and Yugi. He grasped the 3rd illusions hand and they were whirling through black-ness once more.

They stopped outside a house. Long shadows could be seen, inside the house. One had spiky hair; the other was kneeling before him.

"Please don't hurt him… take me, please take me instead"

"Oh, that's what I plan to do, in time" the spiky haired shadow drawled.

"You can do whatever you want… just leave him, please"

"But I plan to get both of you… yes… you may see your son's blood spill over this ground before long…"

The scene faded. Ryou woke up, terror flooding his heart.

"Ryou! What's wrong?" Malik and Yugi were peering at him desperately, tears still running down Malik's face.

"Bakura" Ryou whispered, feeling sick, "Bakura's got my dad"

DUN DUN DUNNNNNNNNN!
