I have not graced my reviewers with a story/chapter in a while, so here we go. A short little thing for Beast BoyxRaven lovers everywhere.

Yes, they argued. A lot. But it didn't mean they didn't think of each other as friends. He often referred to her as his best friend.

They argued. They fought. Things broke because he ticked her off enough. But it was afterwards that so many missed. Why they didn't believe they were friends; it was because they never saw the subtlety of their actions.

He grabbed her arm or hand or wrapped an arm around the shoulder when she was looking a bit depressed. As often as she pushed him away, there was something playful in that shove.

When they had an intense argument (those came often), he would smile at her as he walked past, showing no hard feelings. Instantly her personal space bubble would shrink just a bit; he got closer to her- physically and mentally- than anyone else.

Getting her to talk was his most obvious action. The witty sarcasm she returned was a sort of endearment that kept him alive for most of his days.

And when she smiled… a smile directed at him, mind you… You could see his entire face light up, and it said more than you could find in any dictionary.

Inspired by Animefangirl2's fanfic "Subtlety." Wow, they have the same name. I never realized that. Damn, I need to check my sources more often.
