It was the strangest marriage. The groom in crimson, the bride in blue, the guests all multipeds. The service had included wine baths and a hair-cutting ceremony. Only the kiss had remained traditional.

Arthur looked into his lover's eyes, centimetres away from his own. "Explain one thing," he murmured against pliant lips.

Ford's weird eyes glowed. He suddenly kissed Arthur with a desperate passion. Arthur responded, throwing his arms around the Betelgeusian. He felt Ford's grin through the kiss and determined to remember his question.

"Why," he continued after they broke apart, "am I the one in the wedding dress?"
