Key Musings

Summary: Between the light, and the darkness, there is nothing but an empty shade that he so takes comfort in. Sora centric. Recently Rewritten.

Ramblings: Yes, I stopped being lazy, and I'm excited about re-vamping this one. :D

Notes: I got rid of the former title 'Grey' as this was originally intended to be a series of centric drabbles and one-shots. Eh heh...yeah, that didn't work out.

Notes Part 2: Y U NO INSERT SPACE, FFN? :C

Disclaimer: I do not own Kingdom Hearts.

(It's not so easy battling the darkness

Everyone just needs a break, right?

Maybe that's why I love to go to Big Ben at nighttime.)

Sora flew haphazardly through the worlds, barely avoiding colliding with them as Donald and Goofy held on for dear life. They were quite supportive of his choice that for every 10,000th Heartless slain, he went to Big Ben, as it was in eternal nighttime.

He parked the gummi ship quickly, and hurriedly jumped-and flew standstill of course-into the sky, enjoying the breeze and very faint smell of river water flowing hundreds of thousands of feet below him. He gazed into the moon.

(The Moon is so unusual, always.

It comes from the darkness...

But emits light, and shines brightly.)

His eyes began to glaze, and he rubbed furiously at them. Donald and Goofy glance every so often to him, knowing that he would eventually fly off for an uncountable amount of time, wishing to be left alone-and of course, he did.

He jumped off abruptly, letting the magic dust work its way into his system. He closed his eyes, sighed deeply, and spread his arms-cackling madly his entire flight through London.

(I don't like darkness. Period.

Or I'm not supposed to anyways; I am the Key Master

But the darkness of London...

Is soothing)

He squinted his eyes through the chilly and slowed to half-speed; he admired the pitch-dark scenery surrounding him, and debated on where he would muse for tonight-selecting the flowing river and dove straight to it.

(Even the water shifts and changes

Darkness is more powerful than light...)

He hovered over the clear, but dark water as he ran his hands lightly through the current. It traveled like silk through his fingers... like luscious strands of hair...and felt like a strong sense of déjà vu.

(The night is much more than simply darkness

It's everything I've ever lost...)

Sora slowly drew back his hand as his gaze wandered to the eternal moon. He hovered, cross-legged barely over the water as it rippled about him.

(One day, I want to go up there

To the moon

Where I can see the world through a perception of neither light, nor dark)

He gave a wry and slight sarcastic smirk, and whispered breathily,

"In grey."
