Chapter Four

“Wh-who’re…what the…!”

“Ah, ah, ah.” He said, shaking a finger at her.

“You’re the one who’s been following me!” she said, eyes blazing. “I have a bone to pick with you!” she made to poke him in the chest, but fell through him. She gasped, and righted herself. “You’re…you’re a ghost!”

“Ghost with the most,” he said, brushing his sleeves. “And ah, I got a favor to ask you, babes.”

“Why should I grant you a favor?” she hissed. “You’ve been spying on me! Hiding my stuff--!” she paused as the poltergeist reached in to his inner pocket, retrieving a battered copy of “The Phantom of the Opera”.

“That’s why.” He said. Her eyes widened.

“Gimime that!” she gasped. She reached for it, and Beej jumped out of the way. She stumbled, clenching her teeth.

“What do you want?” she said angrily.

“You have to say my name, girlie. Once, twice, three times…and then you get this back.” He rapped on the cover with his knuckles.

“Alright, what’s your name?”

“Can’t say.”

“Rumplestiltskin?” she tried.

“No. Good guess.” He bet he had a few parlor tricks in him. He snapped his fingers, and several bright points of light appeared. A huge red arrow pointed to the one in the upper left.

“Orion…” she said, her face brightening. “You’re name’s…Betelgeuse?”

“Yes! Keep ‘em comin’, babes…” he said, wearing a big grin.

“Betelgeuse, Betelgeuse.” The specter’s face lit up as he found the familiar tingling sensation in his fingers. He was back!
