Notes: Based off of '#28. Wada Calcium CD3' of the 30Kisses theme. The couple I wanted Gaignun/Junior was already taken. Sorry, couldn't help myself. I swear this'll be the last one. Then I'll get to work on the Junior/Allen I just claimed.

Growing Pains

"I hate you."

Gaignun felt his lips twitch slightly and quickly brought his hand up to hide the expression. "So you've said."

"It bears repeating," Junior gritted out through his clenched teeth. The shorter man glared at his companion's poorly concealed amusement.

"She is just trying to be-" Gaignun paused and carefully considered how to phrase it in a way that wouldn't lead to an outburst. "Nice?"

"Nice," Junior's voice was flat and cold. He'd reached the end of his patience and was about ready to explode. Fortunately, for Gaignun and many innocent bystanders, the outburst was interupted as a grandmotherly woman approached the two men.

"Oh dear, it took me a bit to find it," the old woman laughed as she twisted an oversized bottle open. Shaking out a few large pills she held one towards Junior. "Here you go dearie. Now open wide!"

Junior flushed a dark crimson but obediantly opened his mouth. The calcium pill was chalky and left a funny taste in his mouth when he swallowed it. The old woman smiled widely deepening the wrinkles in her face and leaned forward to peck the 'boy' on his check, "Such a cute child! You'll grow up to be just as big and strong as your father."

Gaignun managed to keep himself in check for about a block before he lost it with an undignified snort. Full rich laughter shook his frame and he had to lean against a building to keep from falling over. The tick near Junior's left eye only made him laugh harder.

Fortunately, the twitch of his left hand gave Gaignun just enough warning to start running.
